Kos met us with very windy weather and extremely slowed down customs officers - they quickly serviced the bus with the first batch of Russian tourists, and with a second batch there was a hitch - the young age of the frontier guard was a reason or banal corrosiveness (they kept parents with children especially long) - it remained a mystery, but, being closer to the end of the queue, we managed to “get out into the people” only an hour and a half after arrival.
The girl who met us (Beleon Tours) pleased us that out of the whole plane (TUSHKA) we were the only ones who were going to the Blue Lagoon Village. Accordingly, an individual transfer. In ten minutes we got to the hotel on Citroenchik, where we were warmly greeted with a glass of white wine at the reception desk, and a Bulgarian boy on an electric car before taking us to his room showed the main places of hotel guests - restaurants, a swimming pool, a spa.
Room. our family got a one-room standard front sea view room with a view not only of the sea, but also of animation. According to previous reviews, it was clear that when relaxing with a child, this category of rooms is not one of the most convenient since loud music can
a) prevent the child from falling asleep
b) wake the child when opening the balcony door or window in the bathroom. (from my own experience - an idled two-year-old child instantly fell asleep with the door and window closed). Audibility around 10% with a closed door and curtains. In our mother, from her own words, audibility is much better than ours, because The side view room suggests a balcony overlooking the mountains with a slight capture of the sea landscape, however, the front door looks at the stage and the sound insulation is much worse. as it turned out experimentally, the sound insulation in our rooms is about the same level. It's just a matter of our own fatigue and perception of loud music - we are younger, fell asleep during the show too. Our maman is only at the end of the performance.
The rooms are cleaned daily; the room has a kettle, hairdryer, soap accessories, a refrigerator with 3 bottles of water (do not replenish), bags of coffee and sugar (replenish) and cream (do not replenish). TV with 35 channels, two Russian international First and Rtr planet.
If we briefly compare the front sea view (ours) and the side sea view (our mother's), then the bathroom is bigger with us, the balcony is bigger, the sound insulation is about the same, everything is clear with the view, the rest is identical.
The day of arrival, I repeat, turned out to be extremely windy, therefore, having arrived at the beach at half past six local time, we saw quite large waves and not a single soul, we did not try our luck and bought in one of the many pools located on the hotel territory.
Weather. Despite many warnings, from the category “Well, where did you go in early June” the weather was beautiful, 25-27 degrees in the afternoon, the breeze blows, in some places a strong wind, but it did not cause us any discomfort. It was cloudy for just a couple of days, but such weather did not in the least prevent swimming, traveling and resting. In the evening, some put on sweaters, after ten in the evening it really becomes cool and fresh. Well, what to wear down in the evening - for men this issue was decided by the hotel administration, which obliged to wear jeans / trousers for dinner in any of the restaurants.
The sea is also not cold. The exact number of degrees was not measured, but the fact that the heat-loving wife eagerly climbed into the sea water to bathe is indicative of me.
Feeding. First impression is excellent. Breakfast is a fairy tale. I really don’t understand those people who don’t like breakfasts here and they consider the choice of food meager. Yes, here you can burst already at breakfast, without waiting for lunch with dinner! A huge selection of sausages, boiled, fried and steamed (tastes, of course, not Russian meat plants, which have already got used to at home), scrambled eggs, pancakes, salads, fruits, sweets ..
Large selection of meat for lunch and dinner. Dinner consisted of both traditional Greek dishes and an Italian-French table with pasta, pizza and a large selection of cheeses for every taste and color. You can have dinner in the main restaurant, or by reservation in one of the à la carte restaurants. It’s more difficult to say about them, they haven’t tried. Breakfast with dinner takes place in the same room, consisting of several rooms, and you should have lunch near the main pool. Greek and Italian restaurants are located one above the other. What in one and in another restaurant you can take a snack, probably it’s not worth listing, in one there is pasta, pizza, etc., in the other - gyro pita, fried meat, etc. Plus, a snack bar is open almost all day between the main pool and the sea, where you can have a hot dog, toast with ham and cheese, and some other “buters”. And not far from the snack bar there is a cafe for sweets, ice-cream balls and waffle cups, traditional restaurant sweets (jelly, mousse, cakes ..). And, of course, pancakes with all kinds of gravy
The hotel has an excellent minimarket with a large selection of souvenirs, drinks, sunblocks and toys. For children there are jars of food and mashed potatoes, diapers, milk powder, toys, T-shirts, slippers. It’s even strange when in such a small area a bunch of everything useful was shoved into one store. Opposite the minimarket there is a minimini wine shop; we decided to take a sample of semisweet red wine from Santorini. But lovers of semisweet and dessert do not particularly run up - mostly dry wine from local producers. On sale saw several varieties of English beer and cider, champagne, whiskey, ouzo. So running out of stock of Russian duty free should not be a problem.
Contingent. mostly English, fewer Germans. The compatriots were met only by themselves at dinner. And only because a certain Vasek grabbed everything from all the dishes on the buffet, for which, I hope, fairly, I received a bream from the folder. The driver who drove us to the hotel said that the first direct flight from Ukraine was due to arrive in early June. That is, Kos, in general, and our hotel, in particular, are beginning to become more and more popular among Russians and Ukrainians. In the last couple of days there have been noticeably more Russians (maybe Ukrainians). In the second week of our stay there was a rather big import of Poles, there are still Dutch, Italian. It should be noted that there are a lot of children. My opinion is up to 40% of the hotel are children. Completely different ages, but mostly pre-school. European families come with two or even three children, and the age difference in children is often not more than two years.
Near the main restaurant (where there are breakfasts and dinners) there is a playground, another playground for children is built next to the football field and tennis courts (about them below). There is a place for children to go downhill and swing on swings.
Entrance to the sea. the only negative we noticed at the hotel. On the day of our arrival and the next day he was not. It's all about the storm, which on the day of arrival scattered so much special sandbags from which paths to enter the sea were laid out that they were unevenly scattered across the beach, some were generally torn. A day later, when the sea completely calmed down, specially trained people rearranged all the bags according to the initial arrangement. As our guide explained, the island’s authorities forbid anything to be built on the beaches, as firstly, municipal beaches and, like, it is controlled by the island municipality, and secondly, they are recognized as almost monuments of culture and art and are protected by something, such as the local unesco. Therefore, even laying out tracks with sandbags is illegal. What can we say about the construction of the pier, such an obvious decision begs, but the local authorities clearly do not approve of it.
However, towards the end of the rest, we found a way out. If you look at the beach from the side of the hotel, then we swam at the very left path of sandbags, there the entrance to the bags is deeper and the stones in the sea are not as slippery as the right.
The hotel offers guests to rent a gazebo on the day. In the gazebo there are two sunbeds, a table, two sunbeds with an umbrella outside and a waiter service from 10 to 18. A fruit plate yet. All this costs 25 euros per day. There are 14 such arbors on the beach, they are booked at the reception in advance. Some arbors are ordered several days in advance.
Animation. She seems to be there, but at the same time she is not. Animators constantly entertain children in the pool, a rather lively evening program consisting of mini disco (English and German, in principle, all the more or less clear, but our little one is still too small for this) and the main show program (dances and dances of the peoples of the world, Broadway musicals, ABBA show ...). In the afternoon, animators hold various competitions for children, for example, water polo, overcoming obstacles, throws on accuracy. However, there is no mention of any animation at all about Turkish-Egyptian convocations on the beach of volley or pétanque. There are sports grounds, very good quality, but empty. At the same time, the administration and reception do not get tired of repeating that they have all the “activity” balls and that for sports they just have to come and pick them up. Checked. There was a soccer ball, there was no basketball. Hotel guests are actively taking table tennis rackets.
Sport. Seamlessly flowing into a sports theme. A beautiful football field with artificial grass, which was played a couple of times in two weeks. They were Englishmen of absolutely all ages, either two, or three families. There are tennis courts - tennis players were seen once, there are basketball rings - I have never seen basketball players, I haven’t noticed beach volleyball players either. True, the wind on the island is strong enough to hardly play beach volleyball like that. The hotel also has a fitness room, a visit to it together with a sauna and hammam, and an indoor pool are expected from 8 am to half 11 pm Equipping the hall with a solid C grade, there are several bicycles and treadmills for cardio training, but for power, unfortunately, there are not enough benches, vultures and pancakes. At the same time, there are several multifunctional trainers and dumbbells. There is a water cooler in the hall, at the entrance to the fitness center itself they give out a small towel and a locker room key.
Near the football field there is a tarzan park (it is necessary to climb ropes and various obstacles at an altitude of 10-15 meters). And behind the tarzan park is an aqualand water park for children of all ages (from one and a half years to 50 year old men). The water park is divided into several age compartments, at least one lifeguard sits in each compartment, who at the same time ensures that little children do not ride from the steepest slides. You can walk to the water park on a winding path (around 5-7 minutes), you can walk along the beach (for the beach volleyball track to the right), or you can just sit in one of the electric cars and get to the destination with a breeze (in the passenger seat, of course).
Wi-fi The hotel has internet, but it is not caught everywhere. There is a signal in the reception building, lobby bar and breakfast-dinner restaurant, near the main pool and in dining restaurants, in the fitness room. Probably somewhere else, but the Wi-Fi was not caught in the room. The cost of the Internet is 5 euros for 60 minutes or 20 euros for 1440 minutes. Moreover, these minutes can be spent during the whole rest, and in the browser online you can always see the number of remaining minutes. Internet speed is good, complaining is a sin. If the signal was throughout the hotel, and the Internet was free, then we would live in a fairy tale).
Car rental. With a car rental, we did not take a steam bath and took a car from the Trust office, which is located on the hotel premises. Choose from automatic boxes. There was little choice, as elsewhere in Europe. Aveo for 60 euros, a juke and a jeep for a hundred, and a micra, which was at the time of our calls in repair - 60 or 70 euros. Plus, it costs 2 euros per day, 2 euros per day can be paid for the second driver, 5 euros per day is additionally insured against scratches and other trifles. As a result, Aveo took 1.4 liters for 60 euros + 7 euro special stages. Gasoline here costs about 1.8 euros per liter of 95th. At a gas station near the capital there was an unpleasant incident, the tanker said to refuel me for 10 euros. At the same time, he began to get a banknote of 20 euros, with the hope that they would exchange them. The tanker took the money and brought a check for 20 euros. Then there was a dialogue on elevated tones from the category "are you a fool? I told ten. - sorry, mister, but I have hearing problems. - but I need these 10 euros. - I can do nothing, in your car gasoline for 20 euros, return can't do anything. " Vobschem spat, left. The machine tries to be playful even when climbing uphill, but the main thing for us was the capacity of the trunk, where our Maclaren stroller and a couple of bags with toys and towels fit perfectly.
Pokatushki. We took the car for three days with the idea of \u200b\u200btrying to visit, whenever possible, all the interesting places on the island, but not all plans were destined to come true because of the sewn in our son’s single room. On the first day of our exploration of the island, we decided to take it right off the bat and go to the raging paradise beach, which, by coincidence, was 5 minutes from the hotel. Here you need a small remark - the beach is large and divided into several sub-beaches. The first time we went to the sub-beach, which was to the left of all. There is a fairly narrow coastline, sunbeds are on a par with a carpenter, but a nice sand. Depth begins quite abruptly. The next time we went to the sub-beach, which is located to the right of all. There the sunbeds are in 2-3 rows, there is a lot of space for beach games with a child and the depth of the sea is about 100 meters, probably, like in the Baltic Sea. Plus, this cafe is very close to drinks and snacks. 2 sunbeds and an umbrella cost 7 euros. In the second half of the first day we went to Antimahia, to Marmari (there was nothing to do there, we just walked along the promenade), and drove into the ruins of an old fortress that protected the Greeks from the Turks. If you go from Kefalos towards the capital, then the turn to the fortress will be right behind the local military unit. The military unit is quite combat ready, as it seemed to us, there are tanks, armored personnel carriers and other equipment. The second day - a trip in the morning to Plaka to peacocks and turtles. The benefit is also nearby. Peacocks are everywhere in the local forest, cars park right next to the birds. A peacock bit a foreign boy somewhere in the side, apparently trying too hard to get his tail. They did not try to feed the peacocks, there were Russian children who unsuccessfully rushed after them with a piece of cheese. The turtles were practically invisible, they quietly swam in some kind of dirty pool (this is not a pond). And from Plaka we went to Zia, the views are amazing from Zia, but there we only managed to shop, bought all sorts of trinkets. There really are a lot of souvenirs, prices were not compared with the capital. And after a day's sleep, we drove towards Kefalos and turned right into Limionas Cove. It is very beautiful, the sandy shore, the sea is clear, though with mud ... well, and the third day was devoted to the already mentioned paradise beach and the capital of the island, the city of Kos. Again, it is difficult to write about the city, part of which you see only from the window of the car. There is a beautiful embankment and a fortress on it, there are some ancient Roman ruins, there are many small streets with taverns and souvenir shops. Somewhere even there is a sign with the words Beleon Tours, the host side of Russian tourists on Kos. You can get a discount.
The shops. supermarkets outside the hotel. Two Carrefour shops and one Lidl were seen on the island. One Karenfor is located near the airport (there is also a pharmacy nearby with a Russian-speaking girl and a 5% discount), the other two shops are leaving the capital of Kos. There is hardly any assortment — there are hardly any delights, but there is baby food, a large selection of diapers (someone wrote that only low-quality Greek diapers were on sale on the island), food, drink — in general, everything for ordinary life.
From nit-picking, one fine sunny day we did not find the pillows of our child after cleaning the room. In general, it turned out that the cleaning lady accidentally raided our pillow, brought from Russia, along with dirty towels, etc., they brought the pillow to another hotel of the same network in the evening, they found her there in the morning and the pillow was brought to our room towards the next evening . "they seem to have found the forks, but the sediment remains." Also keep in mind that for some cleaners the red plate on the door says nothing and they are stubbornly trying to get into the room. In this case, it is advisable to immediately stipulate this moment, in order to avoid repeated "visits". The cleaners, mostly grinders, understand Russian and even sprats maltz at home.
But from the pleasant, they gave the wife a shirt to wash his wife with a pair of T-shirts for dry cleaning local. They chose a laundry from a machine and dry cleaning on the advice of a cleaning lady, who clearly made it clear that things washed in a hotel machine are not very well washed. Well, their cost is 2 times more expensive. 25 euros instead of 12. As a result, we removed all the stains, while on the form we fixed the dry cleaning on a typewriter and issued a bill for 12 euros. They can also arrange dry cleaning, but for this, your things will go to the capital and the whole process can drag on for 3-4 days.
The medicine. Unfortunately, in the second week of our vacation I had to deal with Greek medicine. It is symbolic that, according to legend, it was on the Spit that Hippocrates came up with his oath. My son had a fever at night, in the morning she didn’t fall, so they immediately contacted an insurance company, which, an hour and a half after our call, sent us a perfectly speaking English doctor. In principle, our guide Boris, too, was ready to call a doctor, for which many thanks to him, but he advised me to act through the insurance, they say they are very offended when they call doctors behind them. The doctor was from Kardamena, he said that they have a clinic in Kardamena and a hospital in the capital. He and his colleague are on duty in Kardamena every other day and serve, including Kefalos and nearby hotels. Conclusion - I’m calm for medicine on the Spit, they come quickly, check carefully.
Summary. Holidays on this island in this hotel can be rated at a solid five. Lovely polite hotel staff, great country, have never felt left out or pumped up (refueling does not count). I can recommend the Blue Lagoon Village to everyone as a holiday hotel.

We rested with family and friends (2nd family) in the hotel from May 18 to May 28. We ordered a standard room with a pool, and friends are two standards. We have been at this hotel for the 7th time. In previous visits, there was mostly complete delight, this time a little dull upset. :( Initially, when they were planning to contact the administration, they asked earlier to check in, maybe they arrived early enough. In the place it turned out that there were no free rooms and check-in after 14. They again contacted the administration, they helped to start the process faster. As a result, we were given one number at 11 for all, two were given at 13. And we upgraded two standards to standards with a pool, placing my friends and I in one block of rooms with a shared pool. We can say that the hotel corrected a flaw when checking in by upgrading the rooms. The following story was about booking a restaurant and a birthday cake. Initially, I ordered a cake and congratulations through the administration, etc. Well, I booked the Golden Dragon restaurant for the whole company (then I realized that I made a big mistake). They came, sat down. Started to order. But it turns out they do not have a bar and they cannot bring drinks from the main bar. I had to break down and run myself to the bar, order there and carry to the restaurant. The food was delicious, sat. Well, in the end I was waiting for a congratulation and a cake, I asked. The boy that served us said he would find out. He left and met. While he found out the guests gathered. Well, to hell with him ... In the evening, at 10 pm, the restaurant administrator comes and brings the cake :) I apologized sincerely and for a long time. But you understand that the cake was already past the box office. Of the advantages, it should be noted that they did not take money for the cake. Another point. The restaurant has a lot of decent desserts for dinner. But tea or coffee cannot be taken for desserts. Prior to this, they did not pay particular attention to this rule, but now it’s directly cut. Why tea cannot be served for dinner is not at all clear. A separate story cocktails included in all. Previously, these were exactly the same cocktails as ala kart. Now some simplified options. If you can still drink the same cube of libre, then pin chocolate or bloody Mary are no good at all. Shuttle to the beach "Spiaggia Bianca" (09/01/30/09.): Adult \u003d 10 euro / week, child under 11 years old \u003d free of charge.

Baby cot \u003d 8 euro / day.

Small pets \u003d 20 euro / day.

Tourist tax payable locally \u003d 3 Euro / person / day. The tax is levied for a maximum of 7 days in the period from June 16 to September 15. Children under 12 years old are not taxed.

Note:  Attention! When booking, check whether the rental of beach equipment is included in the price or is paid extra on the spot! In the event that beach equipment is included in the price, it is provided to hotel guests in the amount of 1 umbrella and 2 loungers for Double room, for Single or DUS room 1 umbrella and 1 lounger are provided. The completeness of the equipment does not change depending on whether its rental is included in the price or is paid additionally, as well as on the number of people living in the room. Extra umbrellas and sunbeds can be booked at an additional cost if available on the beach.

The price includes: sunbeds by the pool (swimming caps are required), day and evening animation (from 14/06 - 13/09), a mini club for children 4-11 years old (from 14/06 - 13/09 )

For guests of the Suite Sea Side room category, from 14.06 to 13.09, for stays of 7 nights or more, the Gold Package service is provided: use of the VIP lounge with a buffet of snacks and desserts. Bottled drinks: mineral water and wine, equipment on the Laconia beach, beach towel, welcome fruit basket in the room, Wi-Fi in the room.

Failure Hold:  In case of refusal (cancellation) of the services in full or in part of the services, actually incurred expenses are withheld. The conditions for canceling a reservation or service should be clarified with the Tour Operator.

Tourist tax:
