Longest flight ever. The longest flights in the world. Longest non-stop scheduled flights

Literally from the first moments after the birth of aviation, a race began that continues to this day for victory in speed, duration, range, flight altitude and carrying capacity. Among the first world record holders for the longest air travel was the famous Louis Blériot, who made a record flight across... the English Channel on July 25, 1909.

First records and record holders

There are dozens of names on this list. Among them are the legendary American Charles Lindbergh, who crossed the Atlantic for the first time in May 1927, and the Soviet pilot Mikhail Gromov, who together with his crew made a non-stop flight from Moscow to San Jacinto (California) on an ANT-25 aircraft. It took place in November 1937. The range record then was almost 10,150 km.

The spirit of aerial competition has not faded into the 21st century. Today, world records in aviation are more of a routine thing, which, as a rule, is carried out by the world's leading air carriers. It is true that it is worth noting that the actual production of “record holders” - long-haul passenger aircraft - is exclusively the domain of several leading industrial powers with modern technologies.

Flying Marathon Club

Its undoubted leader is the Boeing company with its famous 747. Over the years of operation, since February 1969, 1,527 vehicles were produced in four modifications. The maximum flight range belongs to the Boeing 747-8 - more than 14,800 km.

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is rightfully considered its “direct successor”. It began making regular commercial flights 6 years ago. During this time, the company sold 565 aircraft in three versions – 8, 9, 10. The longest “jump” was made by the Boeing 787-9 – 14,140 km.

The main competitor of the “American” is the European concern Airbus, a joint brainchild of France, Spain, Great Britain and Germany. In April 2005, serial production of the largest passenger airliner, the Airbus 380, began, capable of carrying (depending on the version) from 525 to 853 passengers over a range of over 15,000 km. Over 12 years, the company produced 213 cars.

Russia's participation in this prestigious club looks more than modest. The country is represented in the singular by IL-96. Since the start of operation in 1993, the Voronezh Aviation Plant has produced only 30 aircraft in three versions - 96-300, 96M/T and 96/400. The Russian range record belongs to the Il-96/400 - 12,800 km.

Who is further and longer

The main ultra-long-distance civil air routes connect Southeast Asia and North America. On average, their length is over 12 thousand km, and the travel time exceeds 15 hours.

Today, the longest airplane flights in the world take place during regular commercial flights. Thus, on February 6 of this year, a Qatar Airways Boeing 777-200LR covered a distance of 14,535 km along the Doha-Auckland route in 17 hours and 40 minutes.

But this is not the limit. Singapore Airlines is ready to offer a truly record-breaking flight from New York to Singapore on an Airbus A340. Its length will be 15.5 thousand km, which may take about 20 hours. In this case, passengers and crew will become participants in several world records at once. This will be the longest non-stop passenger flight without refueling.

The largest Russian air carriers are not among the world record holders for flight range. Today, the longest flight from Moscow is on the Moscow-Los Angeles route (Aeroflot company). Its length is 10,100 km, and the travel time is more than 12 hours.

Today, passengers traveling from one end of the world to another do not need to waste extra time and effort on transfers: they just need to choose the right flight and a cheap air ticket. Modern aircraft models are capable of flying extremely long distances, and airlines, as if competing, are offering longer and longer flights. Do you want to know which planes can fly 12-15 thousand kilometers, where and from where long-range airliners can fly without transfers, and what should passengers do if they have to spend more than 15 hours on the road? Then read our rating review of the longest flights in the world.

What is a non-stop flight?

Even less experienced travelers are well familiar with the term “direct flight,” when a plane flies directly from the city of departure to the city of arrival without intermediate stops. But there is also another concept - “non-stop flight”. First, let's figure out what a nonstop flight is and how it differs from a direct flight.

A non-stop flight (as well as a direct flight) is a commercial flight in which there are no intermediate stops or transfers of the aircraft - the plane flies from point A to point B directly. But there are two special criteria that set it apart from the rest. The first is the significant distance of the route (at least 12 thousand kilometers); the second is the significant duration of the flight (passengers have to spend more than 15 hours on the plane).

It is clear that the longest flights are possible between points located in different parts of our planet, for example, between cities in Southeast Asia and North America. This type of flight has its own characteristics. As in shipping, the route of air travel is laid out in a great circle, since this route is the shortest. In this case, most often planes fly over the polar regions.

The longest non-stop routes are possible between cities that are geographical antipodes, that is, located at opposite ends of the globe relative to its center, while the distance between the antipodes at the equator will be 20,038 kilometers. Possible Buenos Aires-Shanghai and Auckland-Madrid routes are 19,602 and 19,628 kilometers in length respectively, while the great circle distance between Taipei and Asuncion is 19,918 kilometers.

How long can a plane fly without refueling?

The very first long non-stop route during the active development of jet commercial aviation is considered to be the Tel Aviv - New York flight. The flight has been operated by El Al since 1961. The distance between points was 9.1 thousand kilometers. Then the Boeing 707 plane covered it in 9.5 hours. With the development of aviation, aircraft have become larger and more powerful, and routes have become much longer. But to this day, not every plane can fly more than 12,000 kilometers with passengers on board. Only a few types of airliners are capable of this.

Thus, the world's first long-range wide-body aircraft Boeing 747 at maximum load it is capable of covering a distance of 14.8 thousand kilometers.

For extra-long flights from Los Angeles to Singapore or from Dallas to Tokyo, they are often used Boeing 777-200LR. It was he who in 2005 set a world record for flight distance, which other commercial airliners could not break, covering 21.6 thousand kilometers in almost 23 hours. True, the airliner was empty: there were only 8 pilots and 27 passengers on board (out of a possible 300). When fully loaded, the Boeing 777-200LR can cover 17.5 thousand kilometers.

Another aircraft in the series capable of flying extremely long distances - Boeing 787-9. Routes up to 14.1 thousand kilometers long are available to him.

Airbus also boasts two long-range models . Airbus A340-500(can fly up to 16.7 thousand kilometers) and the “giant” of civil aviation A380, whose flight range is 15.2 thousand kilometers.

One of the best in domestic aviation IL-96 in the Il-96M/T modification, it is capable of covering up to 12.8 thousand kilometers.

Longest airplane flights in the world

We have compiled the top 10 longest non-stop flights operated by airlines today. It is worth noting that the duration of the route for one-way and return flights differs: weather conditions, air flow directions and wind have an effect.

1. Doha - Auckland, 14,535 km

The leader among non-stop flights today is the flight connecting the capital of the Arab state of Qatar with Auckland, New Zealand. Flights have been operated by Qatar Airways on a Boeing 777-200LR since February 2017.

The length of the route is just over 14.5 thousand kilometers, its duration is 17 hours 40 minutes.

2. Perth - London, 14,498 km

A newcomer among the record holders is the Perth - London flight of Qantas Airways. The first ever non-stop flight from Australia to the UK was made by a Boeing 787-9 in March 2018. The length of the route was almost 14.5 thousand kilometers; 200 passengers and 16 crew members spent more than 17 hours in flight.

Moreover, on the same day the plane took off for the return flight, the journey “home” turned out to be faster - 16 hours 34 minutes.

3. Dubai - Auckland, 14,202 km

The top three is completed by another flight to New Zealand, this time from the Emirates. The flight has been operated by Emirates since 2016. The length of the route is 14.2 thousand kilometers. The Airbus A380-800 covers this distance in 17 hours and 15 minutes.

4. Sydney - Dallas, 13,804 km

Australian carrier Qantas was again in fourth place. His double-decker Airbus A380-800 flies 13.8 thousand kilometers in 15 hours 35 minutes. The first flight took place in September 2014.

5. Singapore - San Francisco, 13,588 km

Singapore Airlines passengers flying from the city-state of Singapore to San Francisco will have to spend about 16.5 hours in the cabin of an Airbus A350-900 airliner. It is interesting that, taking into account time zones, the journey takes less than an hour (a plane departing in the morning arrives in the States with a local time difference of only half an hour), but the return journey “takes” almost two days.

6. Johannesburg - Atlanta, 13,582 km

Since 2009, Delta Air Lines Boeing 777-200LR has been flying from South Africa to the United States. The airliner covers an air route of 13.6 thousand kilometers in 16 hours and 15 minutes. Interestingly, according to airline statistics, flight passengers eat 200 thousand bags of peanuts and 100 thousand packs of crackers per year, washing it all down with 70 thousand cans of soda.

7. Dubai - Los Angeles, 13,420 km

8. Los Angeles - Bangkok, 13,309 km

Thai Airways International passengers flying from the States to Thailand will have to spend 17.5 hours on the road. This flight is one of the oldest on our list - it has been operated by the company’s aircraft since 2005. The second longest airliner in the world, the Airbus A340-500, covers a distance of 13.3 thousand kilometers.

9. Dubai - Houston, 13,144 km

And again Emirates, this time with a flight to Houston. Flights have been operated on Boeing 777-200LR since 2007. The plane covers a distance of 13.1 thousand kilometers in 16 hours and 20 minutes.

10. Washington - Johannesburg, 13,084 km

The top 10 is completed by the route from the capital of the United States to the largest economic and financial center of South Africa. The flight, lasting just over 15 hours, has been operated by South African Airways since 2009. Flights are carried out on Airbus A340-300.

Russian airlines were not included in the rating. The planes of the largest domestic carrier Aeroflot fly non-stop at a distance of only 10 thousand kilometers. The longest route “Moscow - Los Angeles” is 9,782 km (travel time about 13 hours).

Advantages and disadvantages of nonstop flights

Of course, such super long and super long flights have their pros and cons. Among the advantages, it is worth noting time savings. You won't have to waste hours or even days on transfers or stops to refuel your plane. There is no need to stand in additional lines at the airport or worry about luggage when transferring to another flight. It is enough to check in once at the point of departure - and there is no rush.

Such a flight also has its disadvantages. Not every passenger is able to withstand 15 to 18 hours of flight in the confined space of an airplane, even if it is a giant double-decker airliner. Of course, airlines try to make the time you spend on board as enjoyable as possible. To make passengers comfortable, they are given pillows, blankets, slippers, and some companies even warm socks. A large selection of music and films, drinks and food are mandatory components of such flights.

What to do on a plane when it's a long flight

A long road in the sky without transfers can tire even the most persistent traveler. How can you make your flight as comfortable as possible? We have prepared some tips:

If you can't sleep on a plane, then choose daytime flights and get a good night's sleep beforehand. Still, you may need a sleep mask and earplugs if you decide to take a nap.

When financial capabilities allow, it is better to purchase a business class ticket. The seats here are wider and more comfortable, there is more legroom, and there are fewer passengers. If business class is not an option for you, book your seats in advance. On any plane there are both more and less favorable seats. Just study the interior layout of your aircraft and choose the most suitable seat for yourself.

Wear comfortable and comfortable clothes made from natural materials. And your weekend suit is unlikely to withstand sitting in a chair for a long time. It is best to dress in layers: this way you can quickly adjust to the temperature on the plane. Pack a spare set of laundry to keep you feeling clean and fresh.

During the flight, you should definitely take off your shoes. Usually on long-haul flights, flight attendants hand out slippers. But spare socks will also come in handy.

Bring hygiene items in your hand luggage: toothpaste and brush. It is also worth adding facial lotion and moisturizer: the skin also suffers from dehydration.

To warm up, get up every half hour to an hour, walk down the aisle, and do some simple exercises. Lack of movement can lead to swelling and pain in the legs. Compression socks or stockings can also be useful - they improve blood circulation and reduce swelling.

Drink more fluids. Airplanes have very dry air, so the body needs water to keep all its systems normal. In addition, fluid intake reduces the risk of blood stagnation in the veins due to long periods of sitting still in a chair. On the contrary, you should avoid coffee and alcohol; they only contribute to dehydration of the body.

Don't skip food, but don't overeat during the flight either. Fasting, like extreme stress on the stomach, is an unnecessary test for the body, which is already under stress. It is optimal to eat what is offered to you on board, no more, no less.

Take care of your leisure time. A long flight is a great time to watch a couple of great films. Take an e-book: you will have an alternative if the movie gets boring. Tired of having fun? Prepare a list of things to do in advance that you can deal with during the flight.

Today, many passengers use the services of air transport companies. An airplane is a fairly fast and inexpensive way to get to a certain place at the right time. But there are some flights that seem to last forever and never end. Sometimes the path lies from one point on the globe to another. People cross the equator, seas and oceans. To overcome a huge distance, you need to cross more than one state border. Let's look at the longest flights that travelers take below.

The longest and most awaited direct flight appeared in March of this year.

Singapore Airlines launched the world's longest non-stop flight from Singapore to New York at the start of its winter schedule - 18 hours 45 minutes.

For comparison: a flight from Moscow to New York or a direct flight from Moscow to Singapore lasts on average 10 hours. Now you can find a ticket on these routes for less than 30 thousand rubles. The cost of a direct flight from Singapore to New York exceeds a thousand dollars.

It is designed for wealthy businessmen who do not want to waste time on transfers and waiting on the way from one global business center to another. There are not even economy class seats in the cabin.

The flight is operated on a new type of aircraft, Airbus A350-900ULR. It allows for ultra-long flight. It has 67 business class seats and 94 premium economy class seats. Also on board are 15 crew members and two pilots, each of whom can rest for eight hours during the flight.

The cabin has high ceilings and large windows, which makes long-distance flights comfortable for passengers. Passenger seats in business class transform into beds, meaning you can sleep comfortably.

There is wi-fi, which makes it possible to constantly be connected, and a usb socket. Passengers, as on all long-haul flights, are offered a large film library, with a total of 1,200 hours of audio and video entertainment at their disposal.

The flight is designed for wealthy businessmen who do not want to waste time on transfers and waiting.

A business class ticket includes a multi-course menu with selectable serving times, as well as drinks. On the inaugural flight, business class passengers were treated to steamed lobster dumplings, fish fillets and deep-fried beef.

The plane covered a distance of 16.7 thousand kilometers, crossing 12 time zones. The passengers had two short nights and one short day. The plane flew through the airspace of Cambodia, Laos, China, Mongolia and Russia. The airline will operate this flight three times during the week from October 11 to October 18, and daily flights will begin on this route from October 18. This will happen after another A350-900ULR aircraft enters service. Tickets are already on sale.

The airline plans to launch more direct flights Singapore - Los Angeles on the same type of A350-900ULR aircraft. He can stay in the sky for 20 hours. They promise to announce the start of flights later. Experts highlight the growing demand for long-haul flights.

For Russia, an increase in the volume of transit flights means an increase in revenues - fees for flights by foreign companies in the airspace and an increase in the transit role in international civil aviation.

By the way, it was on October 11 that the Russian State Corporation for Air Traffic Management changed the structure of air traffic routes in the skies over Russia. The length of routes increased by 7 thousand 213 kilometers due to new routes. Within the boundaries of the Arkhangelsk and Murmansk air traffic management centers, within the framework of the proposals of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), an area navigation route in the cross-polar direction with a length of 2,500 kilometers has been organized.

Help "RG"

This is not the first time Singapore Airlines has launched flights on the Singapore - New York route. Several years ago they were already on the airline’s list, but were suspended in 2013 due to expensive maintenance.

Hello, dear flight lovers! As I promised, I will specialize only in business class flights, so I will not write often

On October 20, my husband and I flew to Los Angeles to celebrate our third wedding anniversary somewhere warm and earn more qualifying miles. Tickets were purchased back in June, for approximately 55,000 rubles each. There is the “comfort” class (for which at the time of purchase Aeroflot promised 200% of miles and in a sneaky way changed the accruals for this fare from October 15, regardless of the date of purchase by 150%), back to the optimal economy so that there is an opportunity to upgrade at the counter miles to business class.

So, Moscow (Sheremetyevo) - Los Angeles (TBIT), October 20, 2015, flight SU 106, departure at 12.55, scheduled arrival at 15.20, in fact we flew for a little more than 11 hours. The Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft is named after Bulgakov, tail number VQ-BUB, the aircraft is six months old, first flight on April 2, 2015, three-class layout with 30 business seats, 48 comfort economy seats and 324 economy seats. 402 places! This is just a huge barn compared to even the Airbus 330! The PIC did not introduce himself and made contact only before the flight and already in the aircraft.

As usual, I attach more importance to comfort and food in flight than to airports and spotting, so please do not point this out to me, but go straight ahead to enjoy the airplanes and clouds in other reviews. But I will try to compensate for the lack of photos with words. And I shoot on a tablet, so there won’t be any bright photos, offers to buy at least a point-and-shoot camera for the sake of reviews are not accepted, we don’t need it, especially for the sake of reviews. But I apologize in advance once again for the “graininess” of the photos on the tablet, they are informative, but lacking any artistic value.

So, we take the Aeroexpress to Sheremetyevo Airport.

Then we walk for a long time along the corridors from E to D, to the Sky priority counters

Where is the airplane waiting for us?

and a new lottery from Aeroflot. Now an upgrade for miles can be done at the counter, but you will only know the success of this action at the gate. That is, you say that you want an upgrade, they write off your miles (our upgrade from comfort to business required 17,500 miles from the nose) and prints boarding passes “according to the tickets purchased,” promising that at the gate they will issue a boarding pass to business, or maybe they won’t. .. As I understand it, upgrade priority is given according to card priority: first platinum, then gold, etc., and maybe based on some other criteria. Therefore, for now, in ignorance, we go to passport control and pre-flight inspection, where there are no special queues, and then to the Blues business lounge (upgrading at the counter does not give access to the BZ, but I have an Aeroflot gold card, so we can still ).

The hall is quiet and slightly deserted

Strong drinks make you sad alone in the morning

A lot of press, I took the magazine “Money”, my husband said that he was not interested in money and power

In the morning the assortment of food is not very rich, there are sandwiches, yoghurts, pies and cakes, fruit salads in glass glasses, tea, coffee, juices, sodas.

40 minutes before departure we go to the boarding gate, there is a huge crowd there, because the plane was full. The counters and the gate itself are not visible in the sea of people, but shouts of “Business class passengers, card holders, pass on the right” are sometimes heard from there. We push through to the right, hand over our boarding tickets, they squeak suspiciously, and we are given boarding tickets for the business. The lottery turned out to be a win for us today.

Next we are greeted by the B777 business class cabin, where I have long wanted to visit, and they put me on an A330 three times... We are greeted by friendly flight attendants, I especially liked Alexandra. She answered my non-trivial questions that the chatter would continue for another half hour and that business class was loaded with 150 cups for tea and coffee, that is, 5 per nose if the load was full, and that’s only for tea! And there’s also wine and juice, and I asked her after watching one passenger who was brought his 4th cup of tea with chocolate. So I thought, how many dishes should there be? After all, they load it all clean, and then unload it dirty. I thought that this is also why business class tickets are expensive, how many kilograms of dishes are carried per passenger! Okay, I digress.

The cocoon chairs in B777 are not in rows, but slightly at an angle. On each chair there is a pillow in a pillowcase and a blanket with a white sheet in a bag.

Behind the head there is a convenient shelf on which a cosmetic bag and headphones are already in the package. You can put a lot of things there, but a reasonable question arises: will it all hit you on the crown during takeoff, or will it fall on you during sudden turbulence when you sleep on an unfolded seat... Although the place is very comfortable, you don’t have to stretch anywhere.

Welcome drinks are provided: orange juice, water or sparkling wine of your choice.

We study the control panel of the chair, there are buttons for adjusting the backrest and footrest, and separate buttons for “bed” and “sitting”, we can also see the remote control for the multimedia system and there was also a compartment for magazines under the armrest.

The multimedia screen of the system is large and touch-sensitive, although it is very far to reach it when fastened and sitting. Next to it there are USB chargers, under the screen there is a shelf for things, and even lower there is another shelf - space for the legs when the chair is folded into a bed.

A block of still empty seats near the window (we got the middle row, all the seats by the windows were occupied)

I’m examining a cosmetic bag that disappoints with its appearance and contents:

Firstly, this is the type and size of a cosmetic bag for nearby businesses (for distant ones it is larger and of a different style), and secondly, it has completely pared-down contents: slippers (and economy slippers, thin and “paper”), a mask, a spoon for shoes, pen and comb. No earplugs, no toothbrush with toothpaste, no creams like before...

Boarding is complete, safety rules are shown on the screens

And before takeoff, the flight attendants hand out the menu and wine list. The menu has wine recommendations for almost every dish.

After takeoff, I inspect the multimedia control panel and, horror of horrors, it is broken, despite the fact that the plane is only six months old, it already looks like someone has landed on it...

The flight map is on the screen, while there is a blanket on the footrest:

Behind the back row on the wall is a board indicating the occupancy of the second toilet (there are two of them in the business; there is a similar board on the front wall):

The most delicious action called lunch of 7 changes immediately begins. First, hot wet towels:

The Aeroflot cocktail (apple juice, Sprite, white wine) is very light and pleasant and an aperitif appetizer - bresaola with prunes and Feta cheese:

Then a white cloth tablecloth appears on the table (by the way, the table is more comfortable than in the A330, it moves back and forth)

Then I remember that I need to show the contents of the pocket and take out all the wealth: Aeroflot Cinema magazine and Aeroflot Style (neither the Aeroflot Premium magazine (for business class) nor the usual in-flight magazine was observed, it generally seemed to me that this press pocket was thinner and you can’t fit the usual assortment there)

As usual on long-distance flights from Moscow, “a flower to decorate your table, Kira.” The rose was alive in a special container and lived almost until the end of the flight; they were collected before landing.

And in the aisle rides a cart with wines, champagne, cutlery, salt and pepper shakers and bowls of butter, napkins for passengers and snacks. Apart from this cart, all other dishes and cutlery changes are brought manually to each passenger, each dish.

The table is set and an appetizer appears: “Gravalax, cream cheese with dill, cucumber tartar with spinach (from chef Vladimir Mukhin, White Rabbit restaurant).” The fish is tasty, tender and not over-salted, while some flight attendants are serving an appetizer, another comes with a basket of hot buns (white, with grain additives, pretzel and just rye bread). It was unnecessary to take a bun for 7 recess, but it smelled so good!

Next is the salad: “Duck baked with Hoisin sauce, on corn lettuce leaves with celery and apple, served with olive oil, lemon and sesame seeds” (everything tastes good, and luckily for me, the sesame seeds are in a separate black pile and you don’t have to eat them)

“Baked tomato soup” (from chef Paolo Sari, restaurant Monte-Carlo Beach Hotel). Despite the name, the soup turns out to be so tasty that it is eaten instantly, although at first my husband and I were grimacing that it was borscht from Vladivostok, yes, but this one was made from tomatoes! (it seems like light soups on the flight, at least to LA, are a tradition; on the way back there was a very light green pea puree soup, which was also magical).

Main courses: "Lamb, Pau Neuf potatoes, celery puree with asparagus, served with thyme and star anise sauce" (by chef Paolo Sari, Monte-Carlo Beach Hotel restaurant). My husband ate lamb and other things and was pleased.

"Scallops, rice, fried with egg, asparagus, cherry tomato, served with sorghum cream sauce (who are all these people?) I ate the scallops, they were very tender, not rubbery at all. But the asparagus turned out to be absolutely not my vegetable, probably the first vegetable in my life that I barely managed to swallow...)

Desserts: Galant cake with White chocolate sauce. I can’t judge the taste; chocolate cakes with glimpses of nuts are not my thing at all. But it looks beautiful.

Vanilla ice cream with apple sauce. Decent taste. Next to my cup of tea I have a packet of sweetener and a packet of cane sugar. When Alexandra brought me a bowl of sugar for the first time (there was also regular white sugar), I didn’t immediately decide what I wanted and took two. Subsequently, she brought such a strange set herself to every cup of tea she served me! Service in detail! Although I was uncomfortable, because I didn’t need both products with a sweet taste, I hoped that she would forget, but no, I think that the preferences of the other passengers were also not forgotten throughout the flight.

After cleaning the dishes and napkins, it’s time for the multimedia system, where many films, games, etc. are presented. Moreover, for some reason there were much more films on the B777 when flying there than on the flight back on the A330. This concerned mainly new products; along the way we managed to watch the films Spy, Terminator: Genisy and San Andre Fracture. Large headphones to help the movie buff:

Well, or you can finally turn the bed completely flat, cover it with a blanket and go to bed:

not forgetting to fasten yourself over the blanket in case of turbulence (and at some point it was strong, the senior flight attendant said herself “we have entered an area of strong turbulence, please fasten your seat belts...”, and did not include the usual entry “our plane is in an area turbulence)

All the window shades are closed, the lights are off, the cabin is asleep.

Business class occupancy was 22 seats out of 30, that is, more than 70%, went to other cabins for reconnaissance. In comfort there are at most 15 people in 48 seats, but the economy one is packed, 100% occupied, it was even inconvenient to go there for a walk, after all, the economy on the B777 is cramped 3+4+3...

Let's go to the toilet, it's bright and clean. There is hand cream and a refreshing facial spray, small towels, but unlike my last flight there are no razors and foam (maybe this is considered a day flight? No one will need to shave, but last year the flight was a day flight too..)

As soon as you wake up and sit down in your seat, a flight attendant is right there offering you something to eat, drink, or drink. Crackers, nuts, water:

The plane hums steadily, but somehow I can’t sleep, then we’ll try the cheese plate: assorted Brie, Suluguni and Grant cheeses, served with crackers and fig mostarda. This last thing is like jam, but it’s very good to dip any of the cheeses into it, they immediately play with new flavors! There was also a fruit plate (grapes, apple, pear), but I forgot to take a photo of it.

Three hours before landing, the flight attendants begin serving either breakfast (since everyone has slept) or dinner, since there was lunch before. First, wet wipes, then juices, then, as the menu calls it, “light snacks” - turkey glazed with honey with lingonberry sauce, quiche Laurent with cheese and Black Forest cake, for main course, chicken julienne with mushrooms and Basmati rice and Grant cheese. A little bit of everything and it fits on one plate:

At some point, the neighbors at the window leave to freshen up and I get to the window, and there, together with clouds, are mountains:

Just before boarding, I remove the top panels, there are only light bulbs on them, and they shine obliquely, for the right passenger the left light bulb:

The luggage racks in the B777 are angled and lower when opened, but due to their design there is more room and space in the cabin.

Cabin before boarding, flight attendant checks passengers:

The landing was soft, they unloaded quickly enough, docking at the jet bridge. There were already about ten people waiting there to accompany passengers with limited mobility and people with disabilities. We went through the crossings to control, and we were greeted by the inscription:

Since business class passengers go first, passport control didn’t take much time, but the wait for luggage was long, and they didn’t even put a Sky Priority tag on our bag at Sheremetyevo. Then again there is a line to the exit, where an important dog walks along people and looks for food (or drugs?), then take the shuttle to Hertz and hello, city of Angels and the ocean for which we flew for so long!

That's all, again the review looks like a food review, don't get rid of the restaurant critic out of me
