I am writing a review in hot pursuit.
We rested as a couple from 10 to 20 February 2018.
We are not picky tourists, we have been to different hotels and inns, we have seen a lot of horrors, so the negative reviews about the hotel did not bother us. The choice fell on him, because this is the first trip to Thailand, and sitting at the computer is hard to have a complete idea of ​​the country. But after reading the comments and reviews, surfing Instagram inside and out, we chose Garden Sea View.
What I can say about the result of the rest is that the reviews are all as one true, but you need to sort them for yourself. I will try to describe my opinion being loyal.

Check-in.
As elsewhere at 14 o'clock. We arrived in the dark, so we didn't wait. A deposit of 2000 baht is taken immediately and only in this currency. There is an exchange office nearby (the dollar varied from 30.70 to 30.00 during our stay. For comparison with the street - from 31.40 to 31. Euros, rubles, etc. are also changed. The ATM in the lobby was not used, as in principle anywhere did not use). When checking out (at 12:00) it is returned, but we used it to zero (ate in the hotel cafe). The luggage room is a corner in the staff office.

Room.
We took the Deluxe Sea View during the early booking period - and settled in it. 4804 - a large building to the right of the main one, if you stand facing the main entrance. Quite spacious room on the 8th floor with 1 large bed and 1 small bed. There is a table and chairs - you can take it out to a modest balcony. Opposite the bed is a desk with a non-flat TV with a bunch of Thai and Chinese channels. We watched channel from Pegas and Russia 1 (poor image quality) in Russian, and there is also channel 49 - popular films in English without ads. Also in the room there is a mini-fridge with bottles of drinking water (volume 0.5, the number depends on the number of residents), which are updated every day for free (if you leave for the whole day and leave them intact - do not wait for additional ones, so we always carried them away even to the beach) and a very creaky wardrobe with bathrobes, slippers and umbrellas. (Regarding this product - do not even think about using it, these things are closely monitored, so if you take them out of the room, spoil them, God forbid you want to take them away as a souvenir - they will be fined. Moreover, these are not disposable things, and they are washed or no - I definitely won't volunteer to speak.) Also, there is a pretty good safe in the closet (if you don't have one in your room, welcome to the safe at the reception). The room has a kettle with cups / spoons, next to it are tea / coffee / sugar / dry cream bags. It's all free and replenished.
The bathroom with toilet is also spacious, with a large mirror. There is a hairdryer, shower kits (shampoos, soaps, hats, etc.). The bathroom itself is not the first freshness, but not critical. What was more surprised is that if you use a shower, it is not removable and not adjustable, my young man, to put it mildly, experienced difficulties, since he was very tall, I had to bend down all the time.
There are a bunch of lights in the room, but I never found out where most of them turn on (most likely half are broken).
Air conditioning. Really noisy, but not as scary as some of the reviews of tourists. The next day you get used to it and do not hear it until the end of the rest. But it is very functional. You can cool the room down to 10 degrees in 2-3 minutes, very convenient!
Soundproofing has been worse. In the room itself, the neighbors were not heard, in the bathroom there is a little water and flush. But what really made noise was some kind of mechanism from the 1st or auxiliary floor on the 5th day of rest. Suddenly you hear the sound of switching on, as if the mechanism came into action, after a couple of seconds the final sound - the owners of not silent washing machines will understand - as if things fall when the drum is scrolling. And at night it greatly bothered me, I woke up. What it is, they did not find out, not the receptionist speaks exclusively in Thai, they decided not to waste time and effort.

Cleaning
She's gone. Towels are changed every couple of days, every day they are folded neatly and the bed is made, garbage is taken out, hygiene items are added. Bed linen was changed 2 times in 10 days. (According to our tourists living in the main building on the 2nd floor - they changed every day). Get ready for the fact that there will always be dust in the room - this is the norm for Thais. Theft was not found. But they decided not to tip. Once they left them, the cleaning lady took them, and did her job worse than usual.

Food
They cook more for tourists, once the spicy meat for the whole rest was caught in the hotel.
Buffet breakfasts. Every day scrambled eggs, vegetables, fruits, pastries, tea, coffee, rice, 2 types of sausages and tasteless ham, as well as two types of soup. Hot change (noodles, meat, vegetables). Sometimes they cook something extra, but not every day (scrambled eggs, Thai soup, etc.). There are also decent juices, water, cold / hot milk.
You can have lunch / dinner in the restaurant in the lobby or 2 cafes by the pool (the menu is the same, you can use a deposit).
Sweet pancakes are also made by the pool.
Prices are higher than on the street by about 15%, they cook about the same.

Territory
Big, green, lively. It’s alive! There are many birds that cry / sing / chirp from morning until 3-4 o'clock. Sometimes it's nice, sometimes it's annoying. According to the mood of the singers) Roosters and cats are running, dogs are running along the beach. A squirrel was seen in the palm zone. Lizards mostly appear in the evening and crawl in the hotel corridors. You can take a lot of photos without leaving the hotel.

Beach.
Pretty big. The water is surrounded by a floating fence, so there is almost no debris. Sand, shells, stones. You can play volleyball and beach soccer. Sunbeds around the beach under palm trees, but they can't stand on the sand itself. The Temple of Truth is visible from almost all points of the beach. What surprised me was the lack of lifeguards! So be careful. Fish, sometimes biting plankton, swim in the water.

Wi-fi
This is a big mystery. There are a lot of distribution points, only one lobby works normally, and as all tourists write - in the lobby. But to be honest, it doesn't have to be day after day. Sometimes it was possible to catch by the pool, sometimes even at breakfast, and sometimes in the lobby it did not work. You constantly have to re-enter. Very uncomfortable. But at the same time, the signal reached the beach for several days.

Service
He's not here. So if you want something, I don’t envy. More precisely, you will either be poorly understood or not understood at all. During my vacation, I had a birthday. I didn't get the bonus from the hotel. And they ordered a gift from Russia (flowers), so they were thrown under the door of the room. What is the problem to put in the number itself, I do not understand. It was very unpleasant. We didn’t go for a massage, they didn’t buy anything in the shops at the hotel, the gym was the last century. There are no huge signs "Toilet" or "Shower", so search and you will find. Beach towels are ok but ancient.

Flight
Azurami flew. There, on a large plane, in which there was almost no room (heavy), the food was mediocre. Thank you for giving a sleeping kit (pillow, mask, earplugs) free of charge. Back - on a small one, but at least there was a place, the food is much better. Keep in mind, if you fly the same way - 100% charter, get ready to change the time and date of departure, to refuel in India on the way back. (And then 9 hours of flight changes to 11).

Tour operator
Anex. They greeted us well, gave us water and tourist sim cards (for calling a guide or urgently somewhere, a day of free messengers opens up, there is an opportunity not to sit in the Lobby and not get nervous, but to go to the local supermarket "7/11" and for 89 baht you they will connect the Internet for a week, however, we did not use it). The guide on the way told a lot and completely. The return trip to Russia was terrible. It's just some kind of test. Picked up 6 hours before departure (perhaps we were just unlucky) and froze on the bus.
Hotel guide. THIS IS A SEPARATE TOPIC. I haven’t met such a boor for a long time. The name is Orhan. Do not even think about going to a meeting with him, if you do not plan to go on excursions with Anex. I still remember him with horror. For 2 hours at a meeting, he talked about his past, some friends and friends, and he was reluctant to answer all our questions. If asked, he betrayed aggression. He pushed 5 excursions about which he himself considered it necessary to tell. And he discouraged all the desire to go anywhere at all. He answered questions about other excursions that were interesting to us in such a way that he made it clear "You won't go there and that's it." You know, this is not a guide, but some kind of huckster, whose key argument is "You won't find cheaper", which, of course, is not true. Persuaded us to go on a free sightseeing tour. I read in the reviews that this is a waste of time that they carry around the shops. But I didn't think ALL DAY. ABSOLUTELY ALL DAY STORE TO STORE. And here is a huge deuce to both Aneks and Orhan. They just stole the whole day. But if you love shopping, go ahead. Of course, it's not all bad. Between the shops, the guide told quite interesting information (I remind you, this is our first trip to Thailand, maybe that's why it was interesting) We visited: an orchard (tasted fruits, walked, tasted exotic teas), a snake farm (looked at a snake, a snake show (pretty funny , you will not regret it), there was an opportunity for an additional fee to try a snake, tasted a snake tincture), Big Buddha Hill (but since we were brought there at the end and at dusk, it was not possible to fully enjoy it). And ending with the topic of the hotel guide. He gave false information on the flight. On our call with questions, they received a bunch of "Dear" (this is his favorite word) and rudeness, sent us to the Anex hotline to sort it out ourselves. In general, they called Anex, Azur air, looked on the Internet, in short - they found out everything themselves, they also wrote for the rest of the guests at the information stand, and Orkhan never showed up at the hotel. My advice is not to mess with, so as not to spoil your mood.

Infrastructure around.
I advise you to study the reviews of the hotel with google maps in front of your eyes. I did just that, so I knew about everything about the area. The hotel is located in the Naklua area and there is one road from it, which is where all the shops and cafes are located, there are excursion offices. This is a tourist area, therefore, as everyone said, it is more expensive than in the city. But in principle, the prices are reasonable. You can take a Pattaya card from the first Family Mart for free. Two main tips - many goods are cheaper in the pharmacy (located at the bend of the main road) than in the supermarket, there is also a yellow exchanger - it is more profitable than the first one, which is closer to the hotel. We ate (mostly) at the Coconaut Cafe (from the tourist reviews below). At the entrance there is a specific smell that you get used to, super wi-fi, good-natured hosts, sports broadcasts and a large selection at very reasonable prices!
The location of the hotel is really remote from the city center, you will have to take 2 tuk-tukes or taxis.
For children, the hotel has nothing but a swimming pool.

Excursions
I studied this issue in advance, so we went from Russian guys: Discovery 7in1 (entertainment, almost everyone offers a similar one in Pattaya in different variations. Here you can find zoos, plantations, farms, and temples. You can go. This is one of the cleanest bathing hotels in Pattaya, everyone is talking about it. There will be no frenzied parties and some kind of hell, so for a relaxing holiday, if you want not to be touched, it is ideal. I think everyone will find their pros and cons here, and different things will happen to everyone, everything will depend on a dozen factors. We have not been on a beach vacation for a long time, so we had a great rest, and closed our eyes to all the little things. In general, it all depends on your personal plans and desires from the rest, but personally, I could easily come here again =)))

Although, the hotel restaurant is much more expensive than the city and Thai markets, but sometimes too lazy to go somewhere and eat at the hotel. They cook well, delicious.

The hotel is aimed at the Russian contingent (in the bulk), there are many signs and announcements in Russian, the staff understands Russian a little (reception), but if there is any problem, they suddenly cease to understand. There are fines for everything here - God forbid losing the key to the safe, breaking or staining something!

This is the only hotel in the area located on the first line, so all guests from neighboring hotels come here (many hotels are of the same owner), so there may be a problem with sun loungers. Well, as it is, we specially chose a hotel on the first line and on you, we can not find a free sunbed, it was occupied by those who bought a tour in three on the 3rd line and came here (because the hotels have an agreement between themselves). Also, the same guests do not hesitate to swim in "our" pool.

The pool is not bad, but when relaxing with children on the pool, keep in mind that there are very deep zones here (1, 8 m), so that the eyes and eyes so that the child does not flop there.

There is a beautiful area around the pool, many flowering and fragrant trees. The beach is not bad, the views are simply stunning - the temple of Truth.

But part of the territory to the right of the sea is simply stupid, some kind of forest with trees and not a single shop. It is worth somehow ennobling it or something, organizing recreation areas, in vain it is empty. The trees grow there interesting with aerial roots.

The hotel room we had with a sea view in the main building. I advise everyone to book rooms with a sea view, since you are checking into a hotel on the beach. The furniture in the room is from the past, but the equipment is not bad. Everything you need is there: a tea set, baths, a bathrobe and slippers, even an umbrella. Internet only at the reception (as a result, they connected the package to a local SIM card and were everywhere with the Internet).

There is one path from the hotel, along which there are several cafes, fruit shops and shops, on the same side and an exchange office. Along the lanes you can reach the highway (Naklua) - the road to the city (by tuk-tuk for 10 baht). Almost near the Orthodox church, we found a Thai market.

The location of the hotel allows access to the fish market. I advise everyone to visit - everything is splashing in troughs, they will immediately cook you for 30 baht on the grill, in the park next to you you can sit to eat.

For the rest of the entertainment, you need to go to the center - this is Walking Street and shopping centers. And, of course, there are certainly excursions, there are so many of them in Pattaya, it's difficult to decide right away. I would like to go everywhere.

At home, I still started looking for trips, and of all the local companies, I was more inclined to Nika Travel. Upon arrival at the hotel, we contacted the manager, he came to our hotel, we made an advance payment, the rest was paid when boarding the bus. Took a guided tour of the action and got a free trip to the Lagoon (how great it is!).

All liked it! I will not describe for a long time. At the hotel they did not take the guide from the guide, it is not profitable at all (although they say our prices are lower than on the "street" and "promotions", but there is no benefit in the compartment), we never take excursions from a tour operator, from local firms always have better quality and price.

Rest in Pattaya is interesting - we liked it, there is a desire to return, maybe even to this hotel, although its policy makes it a little strained on vacation (deposit, lack of internet in the room, safe at the reception).

For a long time we chose a hotel on KoChang. We opted for Sea View and made the right decision. An excellent hotel for the price-performance ratio. Large rooms, in my opinion, all have a sea view, as they look to one side. We stayed in the superior, which is in the main building, there were two exits from the room - to the building and to the beach. The location is peculiar - between large beaches, which creates a certain tranquility, but at the same time, a variety of the same fruits offered by the hotel on the beach is clearly inferior to beaches with more free access. From the beach there is a beautiful view of the sea and rocks - here the hotel lives up to its name. A gorgeous view also from the restaurant plus several places are organized around the territory where you can also enjoy the sea view. The hotel is ancient, elevation changes, electric cars and a cable car are a very pleasant solution, one of the advantages of this hotel.
