AirTrain Train

The first step is to focus on AirTrain (Airtrain) - station monorail unmanned train. Yes, there is no driver in it: the computer controls the electric train. The train will deliver to any airport terminal, as well as to two metro stations: Jamaica Station and Howard Beach.

Airtrain will be needed if you are changing to another flight. For example, if you fly from New York somewhere else, and the plane leaves from terminal 2, while you flew, say, to terminal 4. Walking from one terminal to another does not work on foot - the airport area is very huge.

Be careful, it’s not enough just to find the platform “E”, you still need to orient in the direction of the train. You need to go in the direction of Manhattan (Manhatten) - everyone knows him, therefore, even if you do not understand yourself, you can ask people. To the other side, the train goes only one station, which is the terminal.

What else is important to know about the New York subway? On the same rails, trains running to completely different places can run here. Simply put, trains from different lines can stop on the same platform. And some do not even stop at all, but pass by.
