Freight trains and later commuter trains came to the Airport platform, which is located away from the passenger terminals. It was and remains convenient for workers of factories in the territory of the local industrial zone. 
2. Until 2005, with interruptions, it received trains from the Kievsky railway station. In 2005, the underground platform "Vnukovo Airport" of the Airport station was opened. Now these are tracks 3 and 4 of the same railway station. Trains from Kievskiy railway station began to enter these dead ends, significantly improving the comfort of passengers. 
3. There are only 3 pairs of trains left to the old platform now. focused on the workers of the Vnukovo plant and not only. Aeroexpress at Vnukovo has always been the smallest of all Moscow ones. Perhaps this influenced the builders. It was a miracle to build a new platform in Moscow in those years!

9. The first and main plus is the very existence of such a station. It is more convenient than at Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo. If you are lucky and your plane is not parked away from the terminal, then the route "plane - aviation procedures - transfer to the train - train - Kievsky railway station - metro to the desired station" will pass completely under the roof in comfortable conditions. As good as it gets. 
10. The second plus is learned in comparison. In Sheremetyevo, from the train to any terminal other than E, you still need to look and go ... There is a single building in Domodedovo, but even after the Aeroexpress terminal is built, you need to go and go ... In Vnukovo, you just need to go up or down the escalator. 
11. Third and plus and minus. Trains run to Vnukovo on average once an hour. This is less common than other airports. Yes, I would like to more often. But yes. this would entail an increase in the costs of the aeroexpress, which I would pay out of my own pocket. 
12. The first minus is also debatable, but still for me it is. Our domestic fashion is passenger control. I left the station, walked ten meters, search. Left the terminal, walked 10 meters, security check. Despite the fact that it is a dead end both at the trains and at the underpass. I would like a single zone of control, but this is not in our country. 
13. The second minus is just the dead end of the station. It was built in a size much smaller than the classic suburban platform of the Moscow region. Any train will not enter here, you will not carry out modernization here, you will not send either the MCD or something else like that. If we look at the development of similar destinations in Europe, we will see in most cases an ordinary suburban train with all stops on an equal footing with the express train.
