And in the case of young children, this can cause a lot of inconvenience both on the way to the place of rest, and upon arrival.

In order to exclude such situations, I have compiled for myself the most complete and detailed list of things at sea with a child who I will share with you with pleasure. With him you will definitely not forget anything!

I’m sure that you have heard such stories more than once when someone came to the airport in full readiness, and only there he understood that he had left at home something without which they would not board the plane: passports and tickets.

I think the parents themselves will decide for themselves what exactly and how much they should take from clothes and cosmetics, so here I will not venture to climb with advice.

I’ll only remind you, based on personal experience, that while relaxing on the sea most of the time is still spent on the beach.

Therefore, by analogy with children's things, I usually take more tunics and swimwear, and the rest is based on one outfit for three to four days.

Heels also look rather strange, so you should prefer smart sandals for walking and slippers for the beach. My shoes are limited to that.

What to wear?

An important point: on the beach, it is advisable to dress the child in brightly colored clothes so that the baby is always in front of your eyes. This also applies to headgear and bathing suits.

Footwear for the beach should be fixed on the foot, be comfortable, waterproof, light.

Beach cosmetics for a child

In no case should you forget, without it you should not even go to the beach. The SPF protection factor for children's sunscreens should be at least 40 units. Apply after each bath and after the time indicated on the package. You can also take lip balm and antiseptic, because the baby can be scratched or bumped.

What else to take to the beach?

Of course, do not forget about the bedding and soft towel for the baby, because after swimming it is so nice to wrap yourself in a terry towel!

Be sure to cook light snackso that you don’t have to suddenly buy food at beach cafes or, even worse, from beach vendors selling dubious products. October holiday experience

The beginning of October in Cyprus is the best time to relax! The sun is not mercilessly firing, there are fewer people on the beaches, and more places. Family holiday

In Ayia Napa, both adults and children will find something to do. For the latter, here are the most beautiful beaches: white sand, clear, warm sea, ice cream and playgrounds in almost every hotel. Adults will also be comfortable on such beaches, with cocktails in coconuts and pineapples and entertaining contests at the beach bars.

What to take with you on vacation?

Of course, all beach accessories, including masks for scuba diving, slippers for coral (the banks are bordered by solidified lava), sunblock and after-towels and towels (towels that can be paid for on the beach are charged at the hotel - 5 euros). Comfortable summer clothes, in the evening you can grab a blouse.

Where is better to stay?

All hotels on the first line, directly near the sea, are expensive but beautiful (mainly 5 and 4 stars). We lived in 4 * on the second line. Although the famous beaches of Nissi Beach and Nissi Bay are only 6 minutes away. The only minus is that the sea is not visible from the windows, the view is blocked, just the hotels of the first line.

What to do with yourself at the resort?

Personally, we had a truly beach holiday. Sunbathing and swimming in the afternoon and evening, before sunset. In the middle of the day, sunbathing under the umbrellas by the pool. We played volleyball in the same place, by the pool. We walked around the city, shops. They made beautiful photos of landscapes. In the evenings we went to bars (similar to our discos).

We were only on a sea excursion on the Black Pearl pirate ship. Bought through a tour operator (TUI) and it came out very expensive 17 tr with our money, these are 2 adults and one child 11 years old. They say that if you buy the same excursion directly at the port, bypassing the tour operators, then it will cost half the price (we learned about this later). But the trip was great! The most beautiful places sailed, stopped for a swim in the open sea, ate a delicious lunch, fired blank shots at the sailing boats. An atmosphere of unbridled fun in a pirate style.

Next to us were the most beautiful beaches of Nissi and Nissi Bay Beach. There are always many people, of course. But a very beautiful white sand, a wonderful, transparent sea, with different shades of blackout (due to algae). There are very few fish, they are almost transparent white, even small crabs came across. In the middle of the sea is an island (Nissi), to which a sandbank leads to the sea. Very beautiful! There are beaches nearby, left and right, but they are simpler than everywhere else. There are more parents with children, since all youth are basking in Nissi Beach. Each beach has bars and cafes. The prices are decent. (Burger, for example, 8.5 euros.)

What can i buy?

There are many shops and they are all of the same type. They sell souvenirs, soap, halva, olive oil, Turkish delight and the like. You can also buy food and alcohol: from chips and wine to sausages and cheeses.

The big minus of our hotel (Christofinia 4 *) is that there is absolutely no promenade in the district where you can make an evening promenade. Walk only from beach to beach on the sand. The hotel is located at the entrance to the city. Perhaps in the center of the embankment there is, but you need to go by bus 3-4 stops.

Is it worth it to relax in Ayia Napa?

In Cyprus, generally worth a vacation! Wonderful island with magnificent sea and nice people. It is in Ayia Napa that the young people who like to visit bars and discos at night will rather like it. But because of the excellent beach, it is also worth going here.

Awning or umbrella

I have never regretted that I spent money on it - it is especially cool to have an awning or an umbrella when you go to the sea with small children. There you can put a small inflatable pool so that the kids can play with water in the shade, or just lay blankets and have a picnic. It is important that children can sleep under a canopy without danger of overheating, and we do not need to return home for a day's sleep.

Powder removes sand

One of my favorite secrets: bring baby powder with you. I have no idea why this works, but it works! Rub the powder into the skin and the sand will shake off much easier. It is strange but beautiful.

Cooler bag

Useful for soon spoiling products. In case you take milk, berries and ... chocolates to the beach (anything can happen).

Pre-frozen water

Put the water bottles in the freezer the night before and then keep them in the cooler bag - they will help not to melt your chocolates, and as they thaw, you can drink water.

Hand wash bucket

It is very difficult for children who love to mess in the sand to wash their hands later. Especially when you need to sit down and eat. We take a couple of plastic buckets with us and let the children rinse their hands in them before eating. So they don’t have sand in their mouths. Well, or more precisely - it turns out to be much smaller.

Grab bath toys

There is no need to buy a whole bunch of beach toys that will come in handy only after a year. My children's favorite beach toys are bath toys! Children love everything where you can pour or pour something, and on the beach, toys do not have to be any special.

Bring the toys with you

I stock up on toys before leaving. They are much cheaper than in the resort. And if they are new, they are usually packed very compactly, so it’s convenient to transport. Last time I bought buckets and swimming circles while still at home - the children were thrilled and did not have to spend money on the spot.

Use reusable bags

Instead of plastic bags, leather and cotton bags, it’s best to use durable eco-friendly bags made of synthetic materials for things on the beach. Shake off the sand, dry from the water, and if they get dirty - you can always wash and dry quickly. Now these bags are sold a lot. Most often, they fold into a very convenient and very small case, you can take a few in reserve in case dirty things need to be postponed separately.

Separate packaging for snacks

I do not like small packages, because several small ones are always more expensive than one large one. But it is terrible when someone puts a hand in a bag, and she is in the sand, and the whole bag of food is spoiled. Therefore, I prefer to take a lot of small packages. Still cheaper than buying expensive food on the beach. You can still try and prepare a healthy snack in advance and divide it into containers.

Mesh Bag for Toys

But toys for sand and water are best worn in a mesh bag with holes. Then they dry quickly, do not wet and do not stain other things, and sand spills out through holes on the road much easier than then shaking it out of all things and bags.

Put electronics in sealed bags

They cannot be overestimated. Sealed bags with reliable fasteners are useful for preserving everything from the water and sand - electronics, money and keys. I always stuff more bags in my bag so that they don't end.

Cooling spray

Take a bottle with a spray bottle, make green tea, transfer it there and put it in the cooler bag. When you want to cool off, spray yourself! It is both pleasant and useful and fun. You can splash with ordinary water. It will also refresh for a while.
