Ski resort Dragobrat. Should I go to Dragobrat? Yasin Dragobrat distance

You can get to Dragobrat by several means of transport. If you look below the location of Dragobrat on a map of Ukraine, you can see that it is located in the western part of Ukraine in the Transcarpathian region. Near Dragobrat there are such well-known ski resorts as Bukovel, Yablunitsa, Vorokhta. Dragobrat himself is not a settlement. He is not on the map of villages and in the weather forecast. Dragobrat is a tract, a terrain located on an elevation of about 1400-1700m above sea level. The nearest settlement to Dragobrat is the village of Yasinya, located at its foot. Therefore, at first we will need to get to the village of Yasinya. The closest cities to Yasinya village from which are convenient to reach are Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi.

We are going to Ivano-Frankivsk

1. The easiest and cheapest form of transport is the railway. It is best to go by train to Ivano-Frankivsk, which is most closely located to Dragobrat. If there are no tickets, you can get to Ivano-Frankivsk to Lviv, and from there already go towards Ivano-Frankivsk or Yasini. The main departure stations to Ivano-Frankivsk: Kiev, Moscow, Dnepropetrovsk, Chernivtsi, Odessa, Kovel.

Recently, a direct train Kiev-Rakhiv was launched from Kiev, which passes through Ivano-Frankivsk and the village of Yasinya. Very convenient option with no transfers. If your city is not listed, then you need to get to Kiev, and then go from Kiev to Ivano-Frankivsk. As many as 3 trains run from Kiev to Ivano-Frankivsk.

2 .   It is still possible to get your own transport, especially those who have their own equipment. However, I want to warn you right away that it will be possible to climb the mountain from the village of Yasinya only on cross-country vehicles (UAZs and GAZ-66), which have a high lift, and 4 driving wheels, and chains on wheels. Therefore, it is better not to risk the car and leave it in Yasini in the parking lot, and you will be taken to special vehicles upstairs. Look for the route on which it is better to go in your car on the Internet, especially on the forums. Experienced people who have traveled more than once share their impressions.

3. If you need to quickly get to Ivano-Frankivsk, then a plane will help you. Travel time from half an hour to an hour and a half, depending on the distance. Departure from Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk, Kharkov, Odessa, Moscow.

Road Ivano-Frankivsk - Yasinya

After arriving at the Ivano-Frankivsk train station, you need to decide how you will continue to move towards Yasini. It all depends on your wallet and time. If you need to urgently leave, then we catch a taxi directly to the Yasin at the exit from the station. If you have a car for 16-18 people and the right number of people, you can agree on a normal price.

If this option is expensive, then you can go by shuttle bus. Travel time is about 2.5 hours at a price of 50-55grn. per person. At the exit from the railway station 200 meters from the left side you can see the bus station.

Minibuses and Bogdans depart here. However, there is no direct bus to Yasini. You can go to Yaremche, and there transfer to the bus to Yasinya. If you want, you can take a direct bus to Yasini, but it leaves from the AC-2 bus station (Gorbachevsky St., 14), which is at a decent distance from the railway station and you still need to get there for 30-40 minutes by minibus or Taxi. Departure time of buses from AC-2 station:
  • 07:45 Ivano-Frankivsk - Rakhiv,
  • 09:35 Ivano-Frankivsk - Yasinya,
  • 12:35 Podvolochisk - Rakhov,
  • 14:20 Ivano-Frankivsk - Rakhiv,
  • 14:40 Ivano-Frankivsk - Solotvino,
  • 16:30 Ivano-Frankivsk - Rakhiv,
  • 18:00 Ivano-Frankivsk - Solotvino.
All these buses pass through Yasinya.

There is another option to go by train (diesel) Lviv-Rakhiv in a narrow gauge railway to the station Yasinya. Travel time is certainly longer, but the price is cheaper. The train leaves from Ivano-Frankivsk on 19-07 and arrives in Yasinya at 22-33.

You can agree in advance with the hotel owners about the transfer and they will be waiting for you at the station by the arrival of the train.

Climb from Yasini to Dragobrat

Arriving in the village of Yasinya, the further path to the mountain will continue on special vehicles Bobik, GAZ-66, tablets. The parking of these cars is located in several places of the village. For those who arrived in their car, right after the turn to Dragobrat (indicated on the map below), having driven a bit towards the ascent, there is a parking lot where you can leave your car, and next to it there are cars that climb the mountain.

The following location is located right next to the bus station in the center of the village. Here you can see cars from different sides of the bus station. If you walk from the bus station not far along the road in the direction of the Laser (from where you arrived), then immediately after the bridge on the left side there will be another collection point for cars. The cost of lifting up in 2015 at UAZ was 300 UAH. from the car (4 people), on the tablet - 350 UAH. from the car (8-9 people), to the GAZ-66 550-600 UAH. (15-18 people). We agree with the driver and hit the road. Travel time 40-60min.

Dragobrat resort is one of the most popular places for skiing in the Carpathians and throughout Ukraine. Its popularity is determined by the heights on which the tracks are equipped. Due to natural conditions and well-created infrastructure, Dragobrat is the country's highest mountain resort (minimum heights start at 1400 meters, the highest - at the top of Stog Mountain, 1707 meters).

Weather conditions determine the presence of persistent snow cover at the resort, and in conjunction with the equipment on the tracks this allows you to extend the season until mid-May - the slopes at the resort are processed by snow groomers. But at the same time Dragobrat is a great place for freeriders - there are many "wild" slopes. The path to the slopes is complicated by the cross-country ability - only SUVs drive here from the village of Yasinya. However, residents of neighboring villages are always ready to provide tourists with transport.

Rest on Dragobrat in the season 2018-2019

In the new winter ski season, Dragobrat is again ready to receive tourists. More than ten equipped tracks of various difficulty levels are waiting for visitors: from green slopes for beginners to black ones for professionals. Each track in the resort is serviced by a ski lift (some operate on several slopes). The slopes of Mount Stog are suitable for supporters of "civilized skiing", the vast majority of all slopes are located here. Freeride runs descend from the top of Bliznitsa (in fact, just unequipped slopes for lovers of free descent).

At the moment, several promotions have been launched at the resort, according to which early booking of hotel rooms and early purchase of ski passes will save a significant amount of money. The earlier visitors rent a room or purchase a ski pass, the greater the discount.

New Year 2019 at Dragobrat

If you want to feel the true spirit of the magic of the New Year, to see a lot of snow and to celebrate a holiday with national color, go to Dragobrat. Here, among centuries-old forests and steep mountain slopes, you can celebrate the New Year and have a great time with family or friends. It is better to prepare for the holidays in advance - for 1.5-2 months, since the available rooms in the hotels melt every day.

Ski school

There is a special school for all visitors in the Dragobrat ski resort. Here, during the express course, for 2-3 days, anyone will be taught the basic skills of skiing or snowboarding. The main focus of the ski school of the resort is on the speed of preparation - local trainers promise to put even a beginner on skis in a short time. Moreover, visitors who are not able to skate are invited here mainly, because it’s better to hone your skills yourself.

Experienced instructors work with school visitors, most of whom are former athletes of the highest category. Professional trainers constantly keep themselves in shape, passing annual certification and verification.

In the ski school, different types of classes are held both individually or in small groups (2-3 people), and with large companies. Among the mastery courses:

  • Traditional skiing skills (for different levels of training).
  • Snowboarding.
  • Free descent (freeride).
  • Carving descent.
  • Sports skiing.

In addition, the school can conduct training with children. The main condition is to reach the age of 3 years - from now on, small students can already be taken to courses. In the format of a game with children, the most experienced instructors are engaged, who instill in visitors not only the ability to ride, but also the love of the mountains.

False School for Children

At the box office, which operates at the complex, tourists will always be helped to choose the right equipment. The price of an hour of skiing or snowboarding is 300 hryvnia per person.

Rental

In the resort of Dragobrat there is an equipment rental point, where everyone can rent a set of skiing, snowboarding, sledding, as well as clothes and accessories. At the box office there is equipment for visitors from 2 years. Kits are constantly tested and updated if necessary. For adult equipment you will have to pay 70-120 hryvnia per day. For children under 10 years old, the sets will cost 60 hryvnias. Equipment for freeriding - 300 UAH. The newest equipment will cost a little more.

Trails

The total length of equipped tracks on Dragobrat is almost 10 kilometers. The longest descent stretched 1.3 kilometers, with a vertical drop of 400 meters. All tracks are on the slopes of Mount Stog, and freeride slopes are on the slopes of Mount Bliznitsa. The approximate free slope is 3 kilometers.

The main slope of Dragobrat

In the photo below you can see the main slope of the resort, located between two towing rises. On the right side of the image you can see the highest point of the equipped trails - Mount Stog. Between the chair lift leading there and the adjacent yoke there are tracks under the names of “Circus” and “Pipe”.

In general, Dragobrat tracks are suitable for both beginners and experienced skiers. But they will be more interesting to visitors with an average level of training, as well as extreme freeriders.

Lifts

The ski complex does not have a single ski pass due to the fact that different lifts belong to different operators. On the slopes of Mount Stog, two main drag lifts of the Dragobrat company (about 1 kilometer each) were laid. The third yoke and the adjacent chairlift belong to the Carpathian Summit operator, with only the chairlift leading to the very top of the mountain. And another chairlift belonging to the Carpathian Seagull company is laid to the left of Stog Mountain.

Rise prices also depend on the operators. On average, a one-time rise costs 20-40 hryvnia. Only the Carpathian Seagull company has subscriptions (1 day - 400 hryvnias). For other operators, the maximum “package” includes 20 lifts (400-450 hryvnia) or 50 lifts (850-1000 hryvnia).

How to get there

  • By plane. The nearest airport to the resort is located in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk, at a distance of 125 kilometers. There is also a small airfield in Kolomyia (90 kilometers), but only charter flights run there.
  • By train. There are two options for traveling by rail. The first is travel to Ivano-Frankivsk (in particular, there are three trains from Kiev), and from there - by bus or train to the village of Yasinya. The second option - travel directly to Yasin by train Kiev-Rakhiv.
  • By bus. Minibuses regularly go from Ivano-Frankivsk to Yasinya. And from the village itself to Dragobrat will have to go by local taxi-SUV (otherwise there is no way to get there).

The Dragobrat tract is located in a unique area at the junction of coniferous forests and alpine meadows, here you can see a lot of natural panoramas of indescribable beauty, including mountain lakes and even waterfalls.

Thanks to such an amazing location and wide opportunities for recreation, tourism in Ukraine at the Dragobrat resort thrives year-round. Several ecological trails have been laid from the recreation center leading to the tops of the mountains through picturesque places, and lovers of quiet hunting come here in summer and autumn - the mountainsides abound with mushrooms and berries (lingonberries, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries).

How to get there:

from Uzhgorod or Ivano-Frankivsk by train or by shuttle bus (Uzhgorod - Ivano-Frankivsk) to the village. Yasin. If using your own transport, then you need to go along the international highway M-06 Chop-Kiev to Mukachevo and, turning southeast, drive 190 km along the national highway N-09 Mukachevo-Rakhov-Ivano-Frankivsk-Rogatin Lviv "through the city of Khust, Tyachiv and Rakhiv to the village. Yasin. From p. Yasinya by special transport, which carries from the center of the village (Ilona store) to the resort Dragobrat.

Provides consistently high demand for stably inexpensive and reasonably comfortable housing. In addition, there are places for skiing in Yasin! True, the length of the slopes and a slight difference in altitude will satisfy only beginners - lovers of skis and boards on the tracks of Yasini will probably be bored.

Trails

You can ride from Mount Kostyrivka (located in the center of the village) - the length of the local route is 400 meters, the vertical drop is 70 meters, the width of the route is 200 meters.

The second route is 2.5 km away from the center: it is located in the Mlaki tract, has a length of 800 meters, and a vertical drop of 150 meters.

Treadmill lifts operate on both routes: 400 and 800 meters, respectively.

Usually there are no queues for the lifts. In high season, you will have to wait no more than 10 minutes.

There is no night skiing.

Ski holidays in Dragobrat

Due to its good location, snow in Dragobrat can lie until mid-May! The ski resort is located at an altitude of 1400 meters near the mountains of Stig and Gemini, on the Svidovets ridge. It has 5 steep black tracks, and you can climb higher for snow skiing for freeriding (the longest descent is 3 km of happiness, free from beginners on the tracks!).

If you plan to live in Yasin, and ride in Dragobrat, consider that from the village. to the resort - 12 kilometers of mountain road, which can be overcome only by a 4x4 car with a clearance of at least 20 cm. The road from the road to the hot road is a soil serpentine, which is often covered with snow, in places it is covered with ice, and in some places it is covered with UAZ cars to state of impassable dirt. This is not intimidation, so that you leave cars in paid parking lots below and transfer to a taxi or the same UAZ. This is a warning: there really is no place for urban cars. And also - not a place for drivers who will overcome such slopes for the first time in their lives. Your safety and the safety of your passengers - above all!

The road to the resort Dragobrat, authorVasily Oniskiv

In Yasin there are enough ski equipment rental points that meet all the requirements: whether it is quality or budget. There are first-aid posts, grocery stores - in general, everything that can satisfy any fad: billiards, saunas, baths and even Hutsul vats (a unique, by the way, water treatment).

Vats are in the open air, heated from below, and can accommodate from 2 to 6 people, depending on the size of both the vat itself and the "size" of its visitors. They offer swimming in pure spring water, heated enough to take baths in the winter under the open sky.

Before ordering such a procedure, we recommend that you carefully read the conditions that the vat owners can offer, learn more about the effect that such a hot bath can have on the body. We warn you right away: not everyone can like it.

In order not to waste your time or the time of the owners, it is better to play it safe.

By the way, it takes at least 2.5 hours to prepare one such vat — to kindle a fire for heating water, which consumes up to 1200 liters at a time. The working depth of the vats, as a rule, is 70 cm. Sitting on the chest in the water is quite comfortable - the shoulders and head in the cold do not freeze.

Hutsul vat is not just entertainment. It has a healing effect: strengthens the immune system, improves the functioning of the musculoskeletal system and the cardiovascular system, stimulates the thyroid gland functions, restores skin elasticity.

Strukovskaya Church (Church of the Ascension)

Strukovskaya Church stands in the same place where, according to legend, it was founded by the founder of Yasin, Ivan Struk. The quick arrival of winter made him leave the sheep on this side of the river: he could not drive the flock home due to weather conditions and, in order to save himself, he decided to build a sheepfold from ash.

Returning in the spring, Struck was surprised: the sheep not only survived the winter, but also gave offspring! In gratitude to God, Ivan erected a wooden church here, named after his last name - Strukovskaya.

On the coat of arms of Yasini we see the ash from which the shepherd, the shepherd Struk and his herd were built.

The Strukovskaya Church is considered one of the best wooden churches in Western Ukraine - it is a perfect example of the Hutsul tradition of building from wood. Included, by the way, in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Waterfall Trufanets

On the highway from Yasinya to Kvas you can get to the Trufanets waterfall in a few minutes - a 5-cascade handsome man 36 meters high rumbles right on the road. There is a gazebo built over the stream - there is where to relax in the shade and enjoy the falling water. But there is no place to leave the car - the car will have to be "parked" on the road by turning on the emergency lights.

Visiting the waterfall is free.

How to get there
Theory.

Dragobrat ski resort is unique in that an ordinary passenger car will not go there. On such a property of the ski resort, local residents decided to earn extra money. And in their UAZs they carry skiers upstairs. This pleasure is worth a lot - a 4-seater will cost you 200 UAH (2012 price). There is an UAZ Loaf - up to 8 people are probably placed there - though the car will be more expensive.
And so, first you need to get to the village of Yasinya (either by car or by train to Ivano-Frankivsk, and then by minibus to Yasinya). In the village of Yasinya, finding an UAZ is not a problem.
On practice.
It was in mid-March. We decided to go to Dragobrat to form our opinion about the highest ski resort in Ukraine. For reference - Mount Stog at the foot of which Dragobrat is located and onto which a chair lift carries - 1707 meters high.
By car, we drove to Yasinoy. The town seemed small in appearance. There are only two rental points - which was a little embarrassing - we thought there would be a lot of them and we would choose boards.
We reached this place 48.230082 °, 24.321213 ° - from here the road to Dragobrat begins. There were no UAZs, except for one guy who was pacing near his "loaf" (a large UAZ). He said that the season on Dragobrat is already over, the hotels are empty there, there are practically no people and we will not find travel companions for ourselves. From all this it followed that for the car in one direction we would have to pay as much as 200 UAH. After a thought, they thought that Bukovel would be much cheaper - they decided to change plans. But the boy turned out to be "not indifferent" to Dragobrat. He offered to bring up for a hundred, campaigned with the wildlife of Dragobrat. He warned that the machine is a little junk. We agreed. They left the car in the parking lot right there (it is fenced and costs 15 UAH per day).

Road to Dragobrat
The road to Dragobrat is really a kapets. If at first, for the first few minutes it still seems that you could try to drive here in your car. You soon realize that this is from the realm of fiction (I mean ordinary cars). UAZ could hardly cope on some sections of the road. A couple of times we got out of the car, and the driver alone tried to cope with another steep climb. On one of the especially steep climbs we stalled. It turned out that the driver was tempted to buy a sufficient amount of gasoline and it did not enter the engine due to the tilt of the glass to the bottom of the tank. A traffic jam has formed - another loaf was driving behind us, towards us was a small UAZ such as a bobik. Skiers came out of the bobik. While we were waiting for the end of the epic with our “loaf”, the skiers told that it was unrealistic to ride Dragobrat and they were leaving for Bukovel. Alert. After about 10 minutes, we set off again. Soon we were near the hotel.

Hotels in Dragobrat.
All hotels in Dragobrat promise to feed you in the morning and evening. True, and the price becomes from 200 UAH per person. In almost all hotels. We managed to find a hotel for 150 UAH per person, that is, a double room with meals cost 300 UAH per day. The hotel is called Roberta. Located 50 meters from the left chair lift. To the right, what is lucky on the Stog - to walk about 500 meters - it feels very tiring. The hotel is new, beautiful. The rooms are spacious, the furniture is new. There were no problems with hot water. Fed so-so - not tasty. It was felt that food was included in the price - they saved and did not try.
Arriving at the hotel, had a snack, rented boards and went for a drive.

Hire on Dragobrat.
There are few rentals on Dragobrat. Better rent it below - it will be cheaper and much better. They gave me a board on which I could not ride - the mount was unfastened. In addition, a board for a day costs 80 UAH (for information on the way to Bukovel you can find equipment from 50 UAH).
On the second day, we rented skis. They have better skiing here. The choice is more, the price is normal (50UAH / day). Skis are good. Ski rented at your hotel.

Dragobrat. The first day.
And so, after passing 50 meters, we get to the left chair lift of Dragobrat.

Lifts of Dragobrat.
There are 5 lifts in Dragobrat. 2 chairlifts, 2 towbars, 1 drag training (very short). They are all located very remotely from each other. Each lift is someone's property, so each of them has its own travel ticket (language doesn’t dare to call it a sky-pass). For 2012, a chair lift cost 20UAH / lift. 10 yards and 15 yokes.

A slight digression in favor of Bukovel: I do not promote Bukovel. Everyone rides where he likes. It’s just a strange misconception that Dragobrat is supposedly cheaper. This year, with the offer available to everyone, we bought sky-passes for ski lifts in Bukovel - 100 lifts - 1000 UAH. In recalculation, one lift on Bukovel costs 10 UAH, on Dragobrat 20 ... The quality of the lifts at the same time just makes no sense to compare. Old, slow, uncomfortable lifts on Dragobrat and fast, comfortable lifts on Bukovel.

The first day we bought one lift to the left armchair. Have risen. The view is of course very beautiful. Then Bukovel definitely loses. We decided to go down. They were tormented, they were tormented - on the slope there was continuous ice. And the slope is not flat. With our possession the board to go down seemed from a realm of fiction. Half a slope tormented, half surrendered - took the boards in hand and went on foot. True, on the same day they saw one bordist-girl who went down the same slope without any problems, though she also skates far better than us.
Frustrated by this state of affairs, they thought they would leave from Dragobrat tomorrow, but the hotel was paid for two nights. They did not want to return the money for the second night - so we decided to stay another day.

Dragobrat. Second day.
We decided to go for a drive on Mount Stog. The chair lift on which was located quite far from our hotel. We bought 10 lifts (when buying 10 lifts, the rise costs 15 UAH instead of 20). The lift is very slow. It takes about 15 minutes at least to the mountain. Stunning snow-capped mountains open again from the mountain. This time we took the skis. They felt confident in them. We rode among the Christmas trees, it was very cool. I also really liked the natural “half pipe”. We got a lot of fun skiing - we traveled along the slope, each time choosing new paths between the Christmas trees. In the end, we moved from Stog to the left, where the left chair lift is located.
In this regard, skiing is very different from Bukovelsky. Here you ride wherever you want - your whole slope. This is much more fun than the beaten track on Bukovel. True, there is only one slope, but there are many tracks on Bukovel. So it is not known that they will get tired faster.

conclusions
In attempts to compare Bukovel and Dragobrat, you come to the fact that people come to Dragobrat either out of habit or in search of new sensations.

Lifts.   Dragobrat vs Bukovel.Thinking a little and buying season tickets to Bukovel in advance - you can ride cheaper. For 2012, 10 UAH / rise on Bukovel against 20 UAH / rise on Dragobrat. In addition, the quality of the lifts is without a doubt just hard to compare.

Hotels. Dragobrat vs Bukovel.   In Bukovel, we usually lived in the range of 200-250 UAH. It was without power and not under a lift like on Dragobrat. However, the quality of food on Dragobrat I question. And the proximity to the lifts sometimes, too. True, I liked the hotel in which we lived, “At Robert” - I admit that it is the best of all that we have ever stayed in when we went to Bukovel.

Trails. Dragobrat vs Bukovel.Skating in Bukovel and Dragobrat is very different. As I wrote above, there are a lot of tracks on Bukovel, they are being watched, guns work here in winter. Frank ice on Bukovel was only once for all the time, and we go there quite a few - three years at least. Dragobrat has a very beautiful nature. There are no such landscapes on Bukovel. And you can ride here all over the slope. Only here we were a little unlucky with ice. And another important point - learning to ride Dragobrat will be very difficult. All tracks are quite steep. The slope intended for skiing is also not large - I would be bored there in a couple of days. I want a variety.

Availability. Dragobrat vs Bukovel.   Is it possible to get to Dragobrat by my car? Can. We saw a couple of jeeps upstairs. One of them was Kia Sorento, which I was very surprised. Jeeps, those that are bolder, climb the mountain themselves. Other cars and people without cars have to pay for getting a little money onto the mountain. It turns out such a ski resort cut off from the world.
