However, if you are not a fan of walking or just very tired, you can use an electric car for a fee. In my opinion, the big disadvantage of Dagomys is that, due to its shape, the sound goes up, which is why it is very noisy when the windows are open in the rooms. In addition, not everyone will like such a large crowd of people in one place.

Public transport and taxi in Dagomys

The Batumi highway passes through Dagomys, along which public transport runs. However, he does not go closer to the sea. The only means of transportation here is personal vehicles or taxis. However, if there is no parking near your hotel, then some problems may arise: the streets in many parts of the village are narrow, and it can be difficult to find a place to park your car.

When is the best time to go to Dagomys?

Summer in Dagomys is very hot. In addition, when the water in the sea warms up above +25 degrees, there is a danger of catching a rotavirus infection. Children are especially susceptible to it, who endure it hard.

With the onset of September, the nights become colder, daytime temperatures are also lower. In my opinion, it is best to go during the “velvet season”, which starts around September 10 and lasts until the end of the month (of course, it doesn’t happen year after year).

In general, if your goal is only to sunbathe and swim in the sea, then it is better to go in the summer, but if you want to not only swim, but also see the sights, choose September.
