To combat terrorism on July 29, 1974, a special unit was created by the Chairman of the KGB of Yury Andropov - the group "A".

And in the 1980-1990th, a new surge of air piracy happened in our country. We even got out of the leaders among the European powers in this form of crime. And every time the flight attendants came across the hijackers. Irina Viktorova is one of them.

"In Aeroflot, Nadi Kurchenko was heard at all, but I could not imagine that something like that could happen to me," Irina tells me, who was at that time the stewardless of the Tbilisi airline. - In November 1983, our Tu-134 followed in Batumi. At the trial of the remaining hijackers asked: "You would have the children of secured parents - would take Turputovka and remained abroad." The answer caused shock: "And we wanted to fly like Brazinskas - with noise and with shooting! Then they would not give us ... "
