Museum of stones in the potter village of the Republic of Adygea. Excursion to the potter, or when the dream becomes a reality The village of Adygea potter

In the spring of 1970, the dendrological park named after P. Bukreev began its history. Then, a few kilometers from the estate of the state farm “Giaginsky” (Goncharka village), the recreation center “Birch” was laid. Two years later, tree seedlings were planted on the territory of the Dalnaya recreation zone. And at the end of 1976, the first seedlings appeared on the outskirts of the village of Goncharka. This is currently the core of the arboretum.

The undertakings of the director of the state farm, Pyotr Vasilyevich Bukreev, were skeptical of the villagers. Years passed, seedlings grew, changing the landscape, the interest of the population grew (excursions came).

On January 8, 1986, the executive committee of the Giaginsky District Council declared the above recreation areas as State Natural Monuments, respectively, a conservation regime was established. And on November 16, 1989, at the XII session of the Botanical Gardens of the North Caucasus, recreation areas were given the status of the Giaginsky dendrological park with the subsequent inclusion of S.K.

The arboretum in Goncharka began with the planting of local tree species: spruce, pine, beech, hornbeam, oak. Later, the collection of trees was replenished with exotic plants brought from the Black Sea coast from the Sochi arboretum. Initially, the selection of breeds for the arboretum was spontaneous, but soon it was replaced by a scientifically-based, ordered selection. In the dendrological park to them. Bukreeva P.V. An introduction nursery was created, where seedlings are prepared for planting in a permanent place.

Currently, about 350 species of various woody plants grow in the arboretum. Many of them are unique in their own way, and the fact that some of them grow in a given area does not fit into the classical ideas about the capabilities of these plants. Collection of the dendrological park named after P. Bukreev the largest in the region, its scientific value cannot be underestimated, but it is difficult to overestimate.

Arboretum named after P. Bukreev consists of several sections: Dalniy, Birch and Central, which is available for walks and excursions. The area of the Central section is about 20 hectares, only a third of it is occupied by plantations, in the rest of the territory there is a pond with islands. This pond is a favorite vacation spot for tourists and locals who come to the arboretum to swim, fish, grill kebabs or play badminton, etc.

Recently, newlyweds have often come to the pond of the arboretum in Gonchark to take a walk or take great pictures for a wedding photo album.

The coastal part of the dendrological park. Bukreeva P.V. huge elongated and rounded stones adorn. These stones are ammonites, huge mollusks that lived on the bottom of the ancient ocean.

Another attraction of the dendrological park named after P. Bukreev are stone sculptures. According to legend, these sculptures are of alien origin, although for the most part this is fiction (but the sculptures are indeed miraculous!). Each stone has its own names: Sarmat, Meot, Scythian and Pecheneg.

In October 2000, the dendrological park. Bukreeva P.V. celebrated its 30th anniversary. In this regard, in the village of Goncharka, a scientific conference of botanists, specialists of botanical gardens was held. The conference discussed the problems and tasks of the botanical gardens, a lot was said about the inspirer and creator of such a miracle - Pyotr Vasilyevich Bukreev.

Among the hilly plains of the northwestern Ciscaucasia, black in the winter, green in the spring, withered closer to autumn, the Giaginsky arboretum is an unusual green oasis. All three zones of the arboretum, with the expanse of vast ponds, seem something alien among endless fields. And a completely different sensation arises when you slowly walk among the white-birch birches and the harsh greens of young pines and firs. It’s like walking along the copses of Central Russia. This view is not spoiled even by clearly alien plants, often found among native birches and pines.

The arboretum began on the initiative of the director of the Giaginsky state farm P.V. Bukreev by planting local tree species: pines, spruce, fir, hornbeam, beech trees - brought with lumps of land from the villages of Guzeripl, Ust-Sakhrai, and Hamyshki. Birch and other breeds were acquired in various nurseries of the North Caucasus. Then trips began for rare exotic plants on the Black Sea coast, to the Sochi region, where the undertakings met the understanding of the Sochi arboretum employees and the White Nights young botanical garden. The number of planted plant species grew, especially a lot of them became on the Central site, which increasingly acquired the appearance of a rich arboretum. The delivery of rare plants was streamlined, the spontaneous selection of breeds was replaced by scientifically based, an introduction nursery was organized, where very tiny seedlings are gaining strength before planting in a permanent place.

Today, the territory of the Giaginsky arboretum is 150 hectares, of which 70 are under plantations, 80 hectares are occupied by artificial reservoirs. About 350 species, varieties and garden forms of woody plants belonging to 124 genera and 101 botanical families grow in the arboretum. Many plants are unique in their own way, and the fact that some of them grow here does not fit into the classical ideas about the potential of these plants. This is the largest dendrological collection in the region, the scientific value of which is difficult to overestimate. The most visited zone by tourists is the “Central” one, it is here that the whole diversity of the world flora is concentrated. This part of the arboretum is small - only 20 hectares, and 8 of them occupy a mirror of the water surface of the pond with two islands, picturesque with their willows. This is a landscape park. On the banks of the pond rises man-made mound, similar to those that are not uncommon in our region. In 1989, the miraculous stone sculptures decorated the coastal part of the park. Unleash your imagination and imagination, and in the monolithic stone blocks you will see the silhouettes of Scythian, Sarmatian, Pecheneg, Greek wine merchant. In some lumps, inclusions of petrified shells of cephalopods are visible: ammonites and belemnites, the latter are popularly called “bloody fingers” or “thunder arrows”. These amazing creatures lived, having the largest shells in the history of the Earth, hundreds of millions of years ago, when the whole Kuban and Adygea were the bottom of the Ancient Sarmatian Sea, formed after the retreat of the Tethys Ocean.

The main tone of the arboretum vegetation is set by white-birch birches. There are most of them here: single, two or three together, but more often in large and small groups. There are many birches on the planet and the “country of birch chintz” is not only Russia - there are plenty of them in Finland and Poland, Germany and Canada, in some areas of China and Japan. But only in Russia, perhaps, a birch is surrounded by universal love and poetic tenderness. Only one species grows in the arboretum - drooping birch or weeping. They are especially good in March, when their crowns pink from the swollen kidneys cut into the blue sky with clear contours. Pines of various species, domestic and natives of distant countries, in the arboretum a lot. Common pine is more common than others, it is common in the European part of the country, and black pine (originally from southern Europe). Both pines interspersed form an alley going from the Monument to the Fallen Soldiers to the pond. The most diverse, very familiar and extremely rare, spruce and fir, junipers and arborvitae, yews and cypresses are scattered throughout the Central zone. The pride of the collection - a living fossil - is a metasequa glipostrobus-like, listed in the Red Book of the World. Another representative of the Red Book of the World is found in many places in the arboretum. This is a kingco bilobate, relict plant, which is found in Japan and eastern China. Because of its fan-like leaves, this plant cannot be confused with any other; its name in Japanese means “silver apricot”.

In October 2000, the arboretum celebrated its 30th anniversary. On this occasion, botanists from the south of Russia, leading experts of the botanical gardens of the North Caucasus, gathered in the village of Goncharka. Here is how the activity of P.V. Bukreev and all the potters was assessed by the chairman of the Regional Council of Botanical Gardens of the North Caucasus D.S. collected from all over the world, a monument in the steppe that has no analogues.

In the small village of Goncharka, there is a unique complex well-known far beyond the borders of the republic, which includes a dendrological park and a museum of stones connected together. This miracle appeared thanks to Peter Vasilievich Bukreev, who at that time was the director of the state farm of the village of Goncharka. His enthusiasm and his efforts contributed to the emergence of the only unique arboretum in Adygea.

Over three hundred species of various trees, shrubs and flowering plants grow here. Some of them are rare species brought here from different countries. And the stone museum located in the open air harmoniously fits into this unique picturesque plant kingdom. Museum exhibits are masterpieces of the work of Nature itself.

Also, in the middle of the complex is a huge lake with two islets, which serves as a decoration for the entire arboretum.

Botanical Garden

Dendrological park was founded back in 1970. Then at its future location a Birch Grove was planted, which was originally intended as a recreation area for the villagers. A few years later, a zone called "Far" was founded. Representatives of the plant world from different countries of the world were brought and landed here. On the territory of "Far" you can find, for example, the North American Jetsugu.

However, the Central zone, located directly on the outskirts of Goncharka, became the core of the botanical garden. P.V. Bukreev put a lot of effort into the development of this recreation area, and then its further transformation into a unique arboretum and museum of stones. The villagers did not support their director, considering his ventures an eccentricity. However, despite their skepticism, the park was growing. Along with the usual firs and pines, exotic species appeared here, which were brought from the Sochi botanical garden.

Currently, the territory of the dendrological park and stone museum is about 150 hectares of land. Approximately half of this area is given for green spaces, and the other half - for man-made ponds.

Many plants are unique to the area. They do not fit into the general concept of adaptation of such species in the North Caucasus. The collection of flora representatives represented here is of great scientific importance.

From the side of the entrance, the entire splendor of the botanical garden is hidden by the administrative building. On the right side of the gate there are flower beds with decorative flowers, and on the left in the lush greenery of the trees there is a small monument dedicated to V.I. To Lenin. All this is only a modest beginning of the incredible beauty that you have to see.

Wide paths smoothly go around the main administrative building and lead vacationers in the heart of the dendrological park - the “Central” zone. This part of the garden is most visited by tourists. It is sustained in landscape style. Here you will see an attractive green alley. Its edges are framed by large boulders of different rocks.

The dendrological garden in Goncharka is made in the English style, that is, various types of plants are planted in a chaotic mess. It seems that this is not a garden, but wild-growing forbs. And in the midst of all this green splendor, stone works of art of Mother Nature harmoniously settled down.

Museum of stones

The "Stone" Museum was founded in the arboretum in the mid-80s of the last century. Its occurrence is associated with the laying of a road through the mountains to the Black Sea coast. This road was supposed to capture the territory of the Caucasian reserve, which was condemned by environmentalists. However, despite their efforts, a lot of blasting was carried out. As a result, a lot of stone material of various bizarre shapes was formed, which became the first exhibits of the stone museum.

On most of the stone sculptures, one can find the remains of shells of representatives of marine fauna of ancient times. Petrified shells of ammonites and other mollusks confirm that the territory of the Caucasus was once the bottom of the Ancient Sarmatian Sea.

There are huge boulders in the museum of stones and man-made huge boulders. They resemble menhirs - megaliths of ancient times. Of course, they do not carry any archaeological significance, but they attract tourists with their aesthetic appearance.

Plant diversity

In the heart of the dendrological botanical garden there are many different representatives of the flora. there are usual pines, spruces, fir trees, cypresses, arborvitae, etc. However, the pride of the collection of the entire park is considered to be a glipostrobus metasequoia, which is listed in the Red Book. Another rare representative of the plant kingdom found in the park is the ginkgo bilobate. This is a relic that can be found in Japan and China.

A little less than ten years ago, as a young geography teacher and working at school for a very, very short time, together with the class, we went to the village of Goncharka to see the Rock Garden. The tour left an indelible impression, but ... but there wasn’t a single photograph left for memory, and there wasn’t time to look at something –– all thoughts were only about children, how they behave, what they do ... And they they wanted to run, swim in the lake, scream, but did not want to eat and obey ...))))))
Since then, I dreamed of returning there and taking my time and looking around to see everything, really having been on excursions.
Well, dreams for that and dreams to come true someday! Even after 10 years!

Here are the photos of the guys that I and Irina Valerievna Kunichkina made during the trip, which served as the basis for writing a trip report on the class blog:

Alexey Vitalievich Kurlykin is our old friend. He is a guide with a capital letter, because he does not let the children get bored on the bus, telling the history and geography of the places that we drive through. So this time. He drew the children’s attention to rice checks (fields flooded with water on which Kuban rice is grown) ...

Mining and construction enterprises where these materials were used ...

Sugar beet crops, which the Republic of Adygea is famous for, on the territory of which we passed ...

And I paid attention to the sky. The clouds were beautiful, but they feared that rain could ruin the trip. But inside there was a hope that this would not happen, because the weather loved me all the years, always favored!

And this is a dump. It was here that all the garbage that remained from the preparation of Sochi for the Olympics was taken out. Local residents organized a lot of pickets, until we all heard the words of the Governor of our region that the landfill will be closed and also rehabilitated.

By the way, another secret was revealed along the way - why are there so many trucks on this stretch.

The secret is simple - the road is being renovated.
And now, after two hours of flight, flying almost imperceptibly, we are in Gonchark! The arboretum is located on an inclined foothill plain, in the forest-steppe zone. Average altitude = 200 m.

We were not even surprised who met us immediately at the entrance!))))

I bought a small guide to the arboretum, which will help to talk about the park.
Yu.N. Karpun. Goncharsky Arboretum named after P.V. Bukreev. Guide. Belorechensk, 2009

Goncharsky Dendrological Park named after P.V. Bukreeva includes more than 300 species, varieties and garden forms of woody plants alone.

This is the largest dendrocollection in Adygea, the practical and scientific significance of which can hardly be overestimated. Many plants are unique in their own way. The most powerful chernozems lie here, in places over two meters. During the occupation of the village of Goncharka (1942 - 1943), the Nazis took it by car to Germany.

The possibilities of cultivating woody plants in the arboretum have no analogues in Russia. This is a kind of introductory center of the country. Only here it is equally possible to cultivate species from the arid Mediterranean and more than wet Japan, from the deserts of Central Asia and from the Himalayan mountains, and Siberian trees can grow next to trees from sunny Florida.
The main background of the arboretum vegetation is created by white-birch birches. There are most of them. The leaves of the birch give off so many volatile phytoncides that the very stay in the birch grove is healing. There are a lot of pines of various types in the arboretum, domestic and foreign; in the summer they are not very noticeable, but in the winter they make the arboretum green and elegant. There is Virginian juniper from the USA, yew berry, thuja folded from North America, pea-bearing cypress growing in Japan, metasequa glipostrobus and Ginkgo bilobate, World Red Listed trees, plane trees, sowing chestnuts, red oak from the North American continent, Tserets lilac Chinese, mountain ash, boxwood evergreen. This list goes on and on ...

But still, most tourists go to the arboretum to see the ammonites.
Gigantic miraculous sculptures adorn the coastal part of the arboretum - anthropogenic (humanoid) sandstone nodules of the Jurassic.
The British are proud that in the center of London there is a place to relax - the famous Hyde Park. But it looks much more modest than the Goncharsky arboretum. In London's arboretum there is no such landscape diversity, miraculous sculptures, which residents and guests of the village of Goncharka are proud of.
Since 1989, the coastal part of the park has been decorated with giant miraculous sculptures.
The story of their appearance is as follows. During the construction of the road to the mountainous regions of Adygea, stones of a unique shape remained. The rich imagination of Peter Bukreev helped to see in these many-toned blocks images of peoples whose history is connected with the history of ancient Adygea: Scythian, Sarmatian, Pecheneg, Meot and others.
This is the only park in the world with such an unusual decoration. In 1991, in the center of Sosnovaya Polyana, a giant “Stone Flower” was erected from large multi-colored river boulders, a favorite place for visitors to the arboretum.

And on both sides of the road to the pond large samples of rocks were laid that make up this part of the Caucasus Mountains - a kind of open-air museum.

Huge stone sculptures, authored by nature itself, are massive remains of sand lenses. Ammonites, belemnites as well as fossilized shells of cephalopods can be seen on most of them.
Amazing marine animals lived many millions of years ago, at a time when the entire Caucasus was the bottom of the Ancient Sarmatian Sea, formed as a result of the retreat of the Tethys Ocean.

There are pointed pebbles in the arboretum with traces of processing that are very reminiscent of menhirs - ancient megaliths.

Of course, they are not ancient artifacts and do not have great archaeological value, but they have great aesthetic appeal.

And here is the most “famous” ammonite, which was somehow stolen (they thought it was the shell of an ancient turtle), but then it was recognized by the prospective buyer and returned to the park.

While we were in the park, the workers did their best to improve the park — dry trees were felled. But they were not just chopped up, filed and carried away, no! In front of our eyes from the trunk turned out "stools" and a table. And this, apparently, is the creation of children's hands!

And what an unusual pond we saw ...

The lotuses were so beautiful that they could hardly believe in their natural origin ... Checked - real!)))))

Stones and fossils were scattered throughout the park.

The small structure is similar to a well. At first I did not understand its purpose, and then I thought that it was ... for beauty (their dead wood).

And what about being in the park and not taking pictures!))))
Meet Natalya Ivanovna Plukchi, history and social science teacher at gymnasium No. 18, my friend and colleague, a regular participant in excursions. And our classes are friends - if possible, we try to ride with the guys for a vacation!

And I, of course, didn’t stand aside ...

Bearing in mind that there were no photos left from the last visit to the park, I decided that from this trip a few pieces would definitely be preserved!

It was very difficult to pose: an uneven surface, a rocky cliff and a lake at the back and ... heels ...

Photos, frankly, cost a lot - my neck and hands were burned, because the sun loves me very much. When I am in the summer range of his reach, it’s as if there are no other people around ... all the scorching rays are just for me)))))

And this photo was taken on the outskirts of a birch grove, in which we set up our temporary camp. I want to express my deep gratitude to Denis Pavlovich Shevchenko, a physical education teacher at my kids, who constantly played different sports with them, took sports equipment ... After all, then it would not have been possible to leave the guys for a minute ...

It was here, on a trip, I wanted to take stock of the competition that took place on the class blog not so long ago. Today’s trip for his winner - Vani Kunichkina - was completely free, because he became the winner competition for the best article of our class blog and received a trip as a prize. Well done!!!

Nastya article took 2nd place. She will get two movie tickets!

And Sasha’s article became the third, which means he has a sweet prize and a diploma of a prize-winner!

Are we tired? A little bit, but it was pleasant fatigue, because so much new was learned, so much tasty food was eaten, so many conversations were spoken and songs were listened to)))))
And Krasnodar met us with a slightly cloudy sky.

But!!! While we were resting, not a single drop of rain fell, although in Goryachiy Klyuch, where the parallel class went, it was raining ...

I think that the guys will have enough impressions for a long time!
The academic year 2013-2014 is over!
 Urrrra, vacation!

How did your school year end? Where were you seen?

P.S. And what would you call the sculptures signed on the photo with the numbers 1 - 4?Let's exchange impressions ?!

Everyone did not get their hands to write about it. Almost a year has passed. But better late than never.
And so, the Potter is a unique little-known place in Adygea that deserves attention. Full name - Goncharsky Dendrological Park named after Bukreev Pyotr Vasilyevich. Brief information from the Internet:

“The dendrological park named after P.V. Bukreev was created with the aim of preserving and enhancing the collection of plants and the site of the park landscape. Initially, it was five separate recreation areas that belonged to the category of natural monuments of local importance. During its existence, it has become an extensive arboretum, the collection fund of which contains about 300 species and cultivars of woody and herbaceous plants - introducers, most of which were successfully acclimatized for the first time in the Goncharsky arboretum. Collection dendrological park them. V.P. Bukreeva is the most significant in the Northwest Caucasus.
The arboretum represents a rich base for mass reproduction and introduction of valuable plant species into the green building of the region. Unique in its architecture and landscape-aesthetic value, it has been successfully used for many years in educational, environmental and educational purposes, and is a landmark of the republic.
The arboretum is located on an inclined foothill plain, in the forest-steppe zone. The average height above sea level is 200 m.
The soil cover is represented by leached merged chernozems.
The hydro network is formed by small streams and beams, on which ponds are arranged. The total area occupied by water bodies here exceeds that under the ground. The arboretum includes 5 ponds and land adjacent to them, on which the arboretum is divided. The core of the park is the territory of the former Central Monument Nature Preserve, where plant collections are concentrated and an original park landscape decorated with fossils is created.

Pyotr Vasilievich Bukreev was the chairman of the state farm of medicinal herbs and the main inspirer of the creation of this park. In Goncharka, a very strange-looking mysterious ancient boulders are collected. During the construction of roads around the village of Abadzekhskaya, these stones accidentally came across here and there, and Pyotr Bukreev brought them to the park to create stunning peculiar compositions. These amazing stones and organic fossils have bizarre shapes; they are interesting to examine and guess in them either the figures of people, then unknown animals, or phallic symbols. They do not seem to be simple stones, but the creation of unearthly authors. These are riddle stones. There is a sense of the presence of something supernatural. As if these stones and compositions from them were created by aliens from other worlds, encrypting in them hidden messages that need to be solved.
There are many different types of trees planted in the park, including rare and exotic ones. Botanists have something to look at. I did not try to remember the names of all the plants that the guide told us about, but she spoke very enthusiastically and with love for her work. It is worth coming there, of course, in the warm season, starting in April. The park is allowed to hold meetings, picnics and various events. Naturally, you need to be clean and not leave trash behind.

It is just a wonderful place to stay. Unfortunately, the photos do not convey the amazing energy of this park, which can be called a place of power. There you can simply admire nature, breathe the purest air and meditate in silence. This place really gives strength. The more you are there, the better you feel. The group and I spent almost the whole day there, and I did not feel either fatigue or hunger. The air itself is such that you want to preserve it in a jar and take it away with you as a souvenir.
People like to compose fairy tales and believe in them, so this place has already gained legends. Some boulders have been credited with mystic power, especially the large "phalluses." They say that these “phalluses” bring good luck in love and healing from diseases. Therefore, women try to hug with them and make a wish.
I recommend everyone to provide financial support to the keepers of this park so that they continue to take care of this beautiful island of nature. Everything rests on the pure enthusiasm of caring people.
If you do not have enough sun now, I advise you to see all the pictures, it will become warmer)))
More than 40 photos taken in the park in May 2012, look at
