If only one of the parents is a citizen of Russia, it is necessary to submit to the Federal Migration Service an application established (in 2 copies) with the requirement for recognition of the child's citizenship. Attach to the application:
1. Civil passports of both parents. If at the time one of the parents has died, you must provide the original or a copy of the death certificate.
2. Birth certificate of the child or, if the child has reached the age of 14.
3. A document confirming that the child lives on the territory of the Russian Federation.
4. Consent of a child from 14 to 18 years old to obtain citizenship. The consent must be notarized.
5. Two photographs 3x4 cm.
6. Consent of the second parent, who is a foreign citizen. The consent must be notarized.
7. Receipt for payment of the state fee.
Now, in order to obtain citizenship, a child must present the originals and photocopies of the passports of the parents (or guardians) and the birth certificate.
The parents' passports are stamped with the child's citizenship - and the whole procedure takes a few minutes.
Importantly, previously received citizenship inserts remain valid until the child receives a passport.
