Children's Island is good in that parents can watch the children sitting on benches located along the playgrounds. And it’s also important that the carriageway is at a decent distance from the playing area, but boats, whose passengers love to wave their hands, constantly pass by.
Children's Island is open from April to October from 9 to 20 hours, from November to March from 10 to 18 hours.

Sacre Coeur is a children's playground with various attractions for children of different ages. It is divided into three parts, surrounded by trees and shrubs, protected from car exhaust, dogs are forbidden to walk here, and parents will appreciate the fact that you can sit on one of the many shops and always see their child, wherever he moves.
At the Sacre Coeur playgrounds, there is a cable car and bridge, a skateboard, swings and other attractions. Children adore a long metal slide with high edges that stretches from top to bottom along the hill. The slide is safe, but pay attention to the fact that it has bends.
In the lower part of the territory there is a playground for the smallest with various entertainment devices. Folimanka, Prague 2 (Folimanka)
Prague Folimanka Park has existed since 1353. Once upon a time, apricot trees grew in abundance, but even now the park has a lot of vegetation, in particular, maples and ash. There is a playground on the territory of the park where you can not only walk and play, but also enjoy coffee and a bite to eat.
Folimanka playground is divided into two local territories. The part with sandboxes and swings is intended for kids, and on the site for older children there is a large game complex, a game pool and a field for playing ball. The park is separated from the road, so the children are safe.
Of particular interest to children of all ages is the fountain, which you really want to climb into. But parents should be aware that the water in the fountain is chemically treated, and the spray jet inside the structure can injure the child.

Since the 20th century, the famous hockey stadium has been located here, exactly the one where the Czechoslovak hockey team became the world champion. Today, a skateboard park, tennis courts and other sports facilities are organized here.
Children's Island History
Previously, the island, which today is called Detskiy, very often changed its name, until the XVII century it was called Maltese, as it belonged to the island of the Maltese monastery. Later he was called Gukusov, by the name of the owner. In the XVIII century, the island was bought by a Jewish entrepreneur Funkovsky, it was then that several names Zhidovsky or Jewish, as well as Funkovsky, took root at once.
The modern name is Detsky, the island received thanks to a playground and a garden for children arranged here in the 60s of the twentieth century.
One of the attractions of the Children's Island is the Vltava sculpture installed here in 1916; it is a kind of monument to all those who drowned in the waters of the river. The female figure symbolizing the Vltava is surrounded by four more girls in the corners, who depict four tributaries of the river - Otava, Luzhnitsa, Sazava, Berounka. The author of the monument is a Czech sculptor - Joseph Pekarek.

How to get to Children's Island

A bit of history
The history of Štvanice - the smallest of its brothers, is as old as the history of Prague itself. In the XIV century. magnificent gardens were laid out on its territory. Two centuries later, in the XVIII century. it was bought by businessman-Jew Funkovsky, and the island again changed its name to Hebrew (Zhidovsky, Funkovsky).
In the XVIII-XIX centuries. open theater stages, restaurants, and gymnasium areas were installed here. At the beginning of the last century, a hockey stadium was built here - it was the Czechoslovak team that won the World Champion title. In the 60s there were equipped rides for children and a garden. Štvanice became Children's.

In the warm season, you can get here by ferry route P4; them runs on the river 6. They depart from the National Theater Gollar. Since the ferry is considered public, a ticket for it can be purchased in the same way as a tram or bus. Price - 26 kroons (a little more than 1 euro); children under ten years old - free of charge.
You can get here by other means of transport, for example - (get off at Anděl station) or by trams No. 9, 12, 15 and 20 (stop Arbesovo náměstí).

Once upon a time there were Maltese knights on this island, there was a monastery, but now several sports playgrounds are equipped on the island, based on the interests of children of different ages. There is a football field, a basketball and volleyball courts, tennis courts are equipped. And in the summer, in the heat, there are fountains and water attractions, including a pool with a sensory shower, which has the shape of a mushroom that wakes up when approaching it.
Young children also have something to do on Children's Island. At their disposal are colorful slides, swings, ladders, sandboxes and other things necessary for kids. There are also houses made of wood and boats with nets for play, and children are often so addicted to the game that it is very difficult to take them home.
In short, you can come here with children or grandchildren if you are in the Old Town or Smikhov area. Just don’t take the dog, because the presence of dogs is unacceptable on Children's Island.
The section of the Janáčkovo Nábřeží embankment, between two bridges, is located just opposite Detsky Island, which got its current name in 1960, when several structures and playgrounds for children were first built on it.
