There is artificial lighting and snowing of the tracks, so with snow there everything is usually normal, although the resort is located quite low.
The complex is open from 9 to 17 hours. on weekdays and until 11 p.m. on Friday, weekends and holidays. There are 14 cable cars: gondolas, chairlifts and drag lines. Special bursts were not seen here.
Now 15 tracks of varying difficulty, but will still open. There are beautiful, gentle slopes for beginners, there are excellent "black", but they are open only with a confident snow cover.
It is very good to study on the "green" Gazprom routes, all our budding friends and especially the children got up on skis there. In general, everything is focused on family vacations: wide slopes, non-skiing activities such as snow tubing, go-karting, a large entertainment center "Galaxy" (cinema, ice rink, mini-water park, club, etc.). Prices, I note, are not low, especially for restaurants, etc.
"Mountain carousel"
The most beautiful places here, although the resort itself is not so hyped and fashionable, and the infrastructure is not as rich as in the "Rose" and "Gazprom". But this is a more calm, democratic place. But, most likely, everything will change soon, the development here is proceeding at a rapid pace, because Mountain Carousel is included in the grandiose Gorky-City project: modern hotels, shopping centers, a water park, etc.
Recently in the "Carousel" did evening skating, and before the tracks worked only until 17 o’clock. There are guns too. There are still few routes, only 25 km from the “green” ones (training ones are very good), to the “black ones”. The freeride complex is very popular, i.e. off-piste skiing, which, by the way, is prohibited. Only 13 lifts, gondola and chairlifts.
The atmosphere here is, so far, quite democratic, you can easily find an inexpensive and tasty snack, for example, what else to look for at Gazprom and Rose.
"Rosa Khutor"
The most fashionable resort where you can ski, mostly youth, quite modern and developing. True, here too they came across a rude service, but it is clear that the level is growing. Rosa, in fact, has already gone beyond the scope of the ski complex, it exists on its own, without geographic reference to any locality, and as it were, it has become such a locality, because there is absolutely all infrastructure, including children's family entertainment, and you can easily spend there up to a week without going anywhere at all.
There are guns, so everything is in order with snow, there was no lighting, but we had already done evening skating. 18 lifts of all types: gondola, chairlift, drag, conveyor, small queues occur on them.
The ski area here is huge, about 30 tracks from green to red and black, but some are closed. Here is the Olympia ski lift, the most spectacular in Polyana, which passes over the abyss, and the highest skiing point is 2320 m.

Infrastructure "Roses": shops, fashion boutiques, cafes, restaurants of any cuisine, hairdressers, ice rink, karaoke. Accommodation: from apartments to luxurious Radisson. Everything is expensive.

Gazprom Alpika
This is one of the first ski resorts in Sochi. It was subjected to reconstruction, the beginning of which was in 2010. Recently, this is again one of the places where skiing in Sochi.

Dombay is one of the most popular ski centers in the Caucasus. The resort is located in a very beautiful place: in the reserve near the confluence of several rivers. In Dombay, both beginners and pros will like it. The main slope is Mussa-Achitara, you can go down from it for a dozen different routes with a total length of 20 km. "Elbrus region"
This is one of the largest and most popular ski resorts in Russia. At the same time, there are not only high-quality tracks, but also very reasonable prices, especially in comparison with Europe. Cheget is a place for extreme people and professionals. There are 15 official tracks, but again this is more likely one slope. The long and steep track is considered one of the most difficult in the world, the slopes run through a pine forest, so it is better for beginners not to meddle here. But the opportunities for freeride and backcountry are the sea. On the northern slope there are Cheget mounds - natural formations, skiing on which helps to develop balance and improve ski control. Snowboarders are recommended to ride on the southern slope of Cheget, where the slopes are wider, but no less steep.

"Big Woodyavr" is the highest mountain complex in the North-West of Russia. There are 8 ski slopes of varying difficulty, and 5 of them are suitable for beginners. The quality of the tracks at the European level, several have FIS certificates. In total, more than 45 kilometers of skiing awaits skiers and snowboarders, 18 of which have artificial lighting - an important detail, given that the daylight hours in the north are short.
The total elevation is 550 meters. For beginners, there is a training slope with a belt lift, for professionals there are wide tracks for fan carvings with a slope of up to 40%, a snow park and three virgin corridors. In general, no one will be bored.

Sheregesh
Sheregesh is one of the most equipped resorts in Western Siberia. The tracks here are considered the best in the region. The resort is located in the south of the Kemerovo region, in the mountain Shoria massif. This is an amazing place the size of a small European country, almost the entire territory of which is covered by impenetrable taiga. Snow is guaranteed here in season, skiing is interesting, there are tracks for both beginners and professionals - they are waiting for virgin soil in the forest.
Two tracks in Sheregesh are FIS certified, one of the stages of the Russian Alpine Skiing Championship is taking place on them. In total, the resort has six ski areas, in which there are 15 tracks with a total length of about 36 kilometers. The elevation differences here are from 640 meters on gently sloping long tracks to 1270 meters on the slopes for extreme sports.
Sheregesh stands out among the ski resorts for an unusually long season - the climate allows you to ride here from November to May. Moreover, thanks to a unique combination of humidity and temperature, already in November, beautiful snow falls, forming a soft “puffer”, which freeriders love so much.

"Zavyalikha"
This relatively young, but already quite popular ski resort is located 200 kilometers from Ufa and Chelyabinsk. Skiers and snowboarders love Zavyalikha for its excellent snow, good service and affordable prices.
The national snowboard team is training in Zavyalikha, the Russian Cup competitions are taking place here - all this testifies to the quality of the tracks. They are called here romantically, by the names of gems: Malachite, Agate, Rhodonite, Garnet, Charoite, Dolomite, and in the future they promise to discover Aventurine.
There are ten tracks in the complex: one black, seven red, one for beginners and one for children. The longest runs start at the top of Zavyalikha Mountain and descend to the foot; the vertical drop reaches 860 meters. The total length of the tracks is about 16.5 kilometers. You can ride and off-piste, here it is not prohibited.

Gubakha
This ski center is located in the south of the Northern Urals, in the Perm region. Gubakha is famous for its variety of tracks: there are tracks for downhill, slalom, giant slalom and freeride. Gubakh hosts the Perm Open Alpine Skiing Championship.
The maximum height difference is 310 meters, the total length of the tracks is more than 20 kilometers. Trails of different difficulty levels do not intersect, so skiing is quite safe. Most of the tracks at the top converge at one point, so you can change the route at any time before the start of the descent. Beginners will not be scared, for them there are quite a lot of long and gentle sections and there is a convenient training route.
The tracks are not fenced with nets, and the administration of the complex has nothing against freeriders - they even have a separate, longest route - almost 2 km of pure pleasure.

Abzakovo
Residents of Magnitogorsk have long been fond of this ski resort - it is only 60 km from the city - and a couple of years ago, after the construction of a modern ski complex, skiers and snowboarders from all over Russia began to come here.
The teams of Russia in biathlon and alpine skiing train at Abzakovo, and also hold the stages of the Russian Cup. The season lasts from November to May, and there is snow in any weather: there are snow cannons on eight of the thirteen tracks. The slopes are mostly gentle and not too complicated: there are no black tracks, 4 red, the rest will suit those who ride not so long ago. During high season, night skiing is organized daily.
If you are tired of skiing, you can transfer to a snowmobile (there is a separate track for them), go ice-skating or go to the Aquarium water park.

"Bannoe"
If you are bored with skiing in Abzakovo - or you have already been there and want something new - pay attention to the Bannoe ski resort, it is only 25 kilometers away. It is also closer to Magnitogorsk - 40 kilometers. The complex itself is located on the shores of Lake Bannoy, surrounded by stunningly beautiful mountains and forests.
There are fewer routes than in "Abzakovo" - only 4, two red, blue and green. The length of the tracks is 2.5 kilometers, the vertical drop is 450 meters. But excellent conditions were created for skating beginners and a separate park for children. There is a large snow park, halfpipe and tubing for those who are tired of skiing. Fans of night skating are appreciated here, the tracks are beautifully illuminated.

Adzhigardak
In the west of the South Urals there is another ski resort, Adzhigardak. It differs from others in a mild, pleasant climate: the temperature in this area rarely drops below -15 C, and there is usually a lot of snow. So here it is usually warmer than in other resorts of the Urals.
The tracks go along the slopes of Mount Ajigarak, today there are ten of them, they are FIS certified. The tracks are mostly blue with black and red sections. For snowboarders, there is a separate area with rails and training jumps.
Since the eighties, the resort has an Olympic reserve for children and youth, and competitions and starts are held on the slopes all winter.
The resort is actively developing: modern hotels are being built, and a couple of years ago new lifts were launched, which opened access to the northern slope, where four more routes were opened. This season, a lift to the top of the mountain has also been launched, where a new large area for freeriding is open.

"Mountain air"
On Sakhalin there is one of the most dynamically developing ski resorts in Russia - Mountain Air. It is located right in the capital of the island, in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
By 2020, they promise a paradise for skiers and snowboarders: three new hills will be mastered, nine cable cars will be built, and the length of the tracks will increase to 85 kilometers. This is the future, but it’s not bad in the present either: today in the Mountain Air there are 14 tracks of different difficulty levels: five black, seven red and two green. The longest track is 4.4 kilometers. The difference in height is also impressive - 495 meters.
