We stood on Meganom for two nights, shooting on the cape itself, as well as the areas of Cape Alchak, near Sudak and towards the New World. I must say that this approach is quite justified when you are at the campsite and every day you just make radios along the routes you need.
So I do when I shoot on the Ai-Petri plateau, I did so when I shot Karadag, so it will be on Opuk and Karalara ...

I don’t particularly see the minuses, given that the objects of shooting are in a certain vicinity of the camp.

2. On this trip, I joined a large group of tourists who make a two-week journey along the Crimean coast. The group is international - it has Finns, Dutch, Russians and Ukrainians - only about 30 people.
The organizer of this trip is maks_kutashev who regularly arranges such tours in the Crimea.
I joined the group in the middle of their trip when she was camping at Cape Meganom. Further, we will spend some stages of the trip together.

3. At Meganom, we were parked at the Kapsel parking lot. The usual campsite is the site for tents and cars, along the perimeter there are several large toilet buildings, there is a shower, as well as the opportunity to be supplied with electricity. True, you need to take care of the long extension cable in advance. The campsite has its own entrance to the beach, several bars.
Particularly surprised by the presence of a fairly nimble WiFi Internet throughout the site.
Cost of services - day of car stay - 45 UAH plus day of stay of one person - 13 UAH.
This amount includes the use of everything that is on the territory - a shower, toilets, electricity, Internet.

Autocamping Meganom - Cape Rybachy - Cape Meganom - Cape Bugas - Bugaz.

I remember how during the formation of our tourist club, the question was raised: "And what place in Crimea will we make our beloved? A place-patron, a place-amulet, a place-power. Club place where we will return from year to year." There were many versions, each with its own favorite places, its own preferences. I remember, among others, Ayu-Dag most often sounded. Bear Mountain is a good hiking symbol and an interesting place to visit. But time has put everything in its place. The place has chosen us. Over the 3.5 years of the club’s existence, we have been to Meganom three times. In fact, we missed Megan only in 2011, and visited in 2010, 2012 and now in 2013. There is no place in Crimea that we visit with such periodicity. Even the Chatyr-Dag plateau and the Demerdzhi plateau cannot boast such constancy, although they are closer and more convenient for us for hiking.

What is attractive about this place for esotericists and mystics I wrote in last year’s report and I don’t want to return to this. Although no, I’ll say a few words. Whoever reads me regularly knows how I feel about all kinds of places of power. I am indifferent. Good places of power, bad places of power - for me they are all the same. I don’t feel any special vibrations either there or there. I feel good everywhere, I have the whole Crimea one big place of power. I am also indifferent to all kinds of Hare Krishnas, Buddhists, Judaists, Talmudists, Taoists and other believers in all possible religions. But this is how I relate to them until they reach my soul. While they built a sundial from pebbles, altars from pebbles on Meganom, organized places of worship - everything was interesting, harmonious and did not violate the overall integrity and natural beauty. But they went too far and their actions disfigure the cape. They began to decorate Megan. Almost all the stones are painted with buddhas, animals and abstract drawings. For this, you can already take your hands off. At this pace, they will repaint the whole Megan and turn it into an acid incomprehensible something.

They started, traditionally, not far from the Meganom camping site and, moving along the "lower" path, went along the edge of the sea. They looked enviously at Mount Sokol, which was highlighted by the meager December sun. We were purged by sea winds in the shade of Mount Urmany-Ustu.

However, much distracted by the surrounding species was fraught with consequences. Wet mud forced the legs to disperse in different directions, and the sea strove to reach out and "lick" the shoes of the participants of the campaign. But then the shore became wider and managed to escape from the oncoming waves. In such cases, you can select the "upper" path, which is also passable, as well as the "lower". But when did we look for the easy way?

Passed the famous "Penitent Monks" - amazing traces of erosion.

From the edge of Kilse-Burun, they looked beyond the slopes of Mount Urmana-Ustu and saw the next target - Cape Meganom, coupled with the Meghan lighthouse. Everything is in place, nothing has gone anywhere. You can continue the journey.

Perhaps the most specific part of the route starts from here. Megan opens in all its glory. We look at him from the inside. And it is here that you realize how unlike the rest of the Crimean places it is. He is the one and only. Unique in all its unusual beauty. And Megan damn picturesque. Everything is picturesque here - wastelands, bays, piles of stones in water and on land. This place is so fantastic that for a long time you can’t understand where you are and whether Crimea is at all?

The place is very contemplative, not enduring fuss. But to fully appreciate its greatness and grandeur can only begin climbing to Cape Meganom. This is where the beauty of bays and wastelands opens to the full. The higher you go, the better the panorama becomes, the more breathtaking. It is impossible to break away. He made a slight upward movement, turned to look, rose a little more, and turned back to look again. And with the climb, the feeling of enthusiasm becomes only stronger.

At the top there is a shop with a good view of the entire wasteland of Meganoma. And I, sitting on this bench, can assure you that getting out of it is very, very difficult. Not because it is too lazy to go further, but because contemplation is so captivating that it is categorically impossible to look away and continue on the path.

However, we are not far from the no less picturesque Meganom lighthouse.

Instead of taking the road to the military unit and bypassing the tracts of Buyuk-Okce and Kuchuk-Okche, we decided to try to go to Mount Choban-Basti in the shortest way, crossing the tracts where possible. Unfortunately, we failed completely. Already on the first ravine (Buyuk-Okce) we could not find a more or less suitable trail to conveniently cross it. We saw how the hunters crossed the ravine, but the descent seemed to us not very convenient. We decided to climb and look for a more suitable path. But as we ascended, it became clear that we could not find a convenient way through the first ravine. Therefore, continuing to move along the trodden path came ... to the military unit. Thus, they made a big detour from the lighthouse, first losing height, and then again typing it.

The land of Cape Choban-Best is under the jurisdiction of the Sudak wind farm. Passage and passage to the territory of the wind farm is strictly prohibited. But, despite all the prohibition signs, we decide to move to the top of the Choban-Basta. Cautiously, you look at the blades of the working windmills whistling at the top and in the mode of secretive movement, with a quick step we "reach" the top of Choban-Basta.

In the south, somewhere far into the sea, it is raining.

In the east, beyond Bugaz, the fourth cape is visible - Tolstoy. Behind it is the Kara-Dag massif. And on the horizon itself Ordzhonikidze can be seen, and to the right of it, almost an even cone, is visible Mount Kiik-Atlama.

Species place. But the wind blows with terrible force. No wonder the wind farms were built here. After 10 minutes, I want to hide from the piercing wind and catch my breath a little. Therefore, we descend along the eastern slope of Choban-Basta and rush to the third cape - Bugas. On the leeward side, many horses graze, apparently no one wants to freeze in a constant wind.

Bugas is just a stone's throw away. I remember it with an absolutely incredible sediment structure. It was as if the ancient builders were building this cape, laying out “bricks” in layers, interspersing them with layers of “mortar”. Such associations arose when I looked at the western slope of this cape. In any case, this "masonry" is better to see with your own eyes. Very entertaining sight.

2015 update:

In September 2015, we again, for the third time, visited the familiar car camping Capsel. Did you see desolation in September? War? Russia? There is no trace of its former popularity. Almost none of the tourists. But silence! Places - at least get out, the beach is free, the swing too!

On a hill of broken slate, the words "Health to Putin" are collected. Interestingly, is this sincere or ironic? But judging by the number of visitors, the mantra did not work.

Prices

To place a car and a small tent costs 300 rubles per day, 1 person - 70 rubles, electricity 80 rubles, hot shower for 5 minutes 50 rubles, cool shower for free until 10 pm, then the showers are locked.

Advantages

The former - fast and free WiFi internet. Traditionally inexpensive. Toilets, garbage disposal, washstands, showers. Lighting. Canteen. Pebble beach. The swing is already free :) but already flashing bottom. A barrel, for some reason, open, with dubious fresh water.

disadvantages

Confusion from marking places - borders are painted with different colors and go figure out which one is right. Local watchdogs run around (trying to steal something edible), clash with visitors' dogs, scare them with their barking and interfere with sleep. Camping would not hurt the work of an electrician: a lot of messed up, sometimes I had to go to the toilet with a flashlight. A trifle, but in the indoor dining room you can hear an extremely subjective Ukrainian TV (or radio, it's hard to remember exactly). Cafe by the sea does not work - well, that's understandable, with so many people there is nothing to do there, not to mention the disco. But it’s even better, the coast is full of places with crowds and eternal music, and I want silence! So that only you and the sea ... Children's attractions are broken, but they continue to delight the eye with colorful trains.

And where did all this come from, because two years earlier none of this had happened. You feel desolation and it scares, because the road down is always easier.

We wish the campsite to keep the mark and survive in 2016!

Capsel Best Times Review 2012-2013

One of the best campsites in Crimea and generally the best stopping place near Sudak for a relaxing holiday is Kapsel camping, located in the tract of the same name. It is located between Cape Alchak and Megan, three kilometers east of Sudak. We present a detailed photo review of him.

This is a small fenced area on which you can put a car and a tent for a very tasty amount, or rent a premium little house, or room, but this is already VIP. In a small area surrounded by small picturesque hills, which are so nice to climb, there are a field with cars, houses and tents, a dining room, a cafe, your own beach and children's attractions.

You can find a campsite according to the sign. It is located not reaching Sudak 3 km from Feodosia. But in order not to loop and know the road, it is surely better to navigate by GPS coordinates:

The car can be put next to the tent, which is a huge plus because this is not allowed at all campsites of Crimea. Even at the peak of the tourist season (mid-August), there are tent places in Kapsel. But there is not much shade, so be sure to bring with you an awning or a multi-room tent for shade.

You will almost certainly need electricity. Capsules can provide this for a nominal fee. To do this, you must have an extension cord of at least 50 m, as well as a free tent place in the reach of a local outlet.

On the right you can see a volleyball court, a trash can and relatively modern beige toilets with booths. Bottom right, older green toilets with holes.

Food in Capsel

You can cook next to the tent or house. On a burner or barbecue. In the 2012 season in Kapsel, it was forbidden to make fire at tents. For braziers, special places were equipped. In 2013, this rule was excluded (or was nobody followed?).

You can eat in the dining room. Take inexpensive, but high-calorie complex breakfasts, lunches, dinners. Or make individual orders, more expensive.

It is unbelievably pleasant to sit at a table, hiding from the sun, admire the sea through the greenery, and know that your house is just around the corner, and there is a car nearby where you can rush for adventures or to Sudak for groceries at any time.

For those traveling with a car with a tent, normal food is a luxury and all diets are forgotten - an organism that runs over the mountains wants the first and second, otherwise tomorrow there will be forces only to lie in the sun.

There is a second cafe, right by the sea. But we did not scout it. There was enough dining room. Still, you can sit in a cafe at home, but in the Crimea you need to look for adventure!

Sea

Capsel Car Camping Beach consists of large and medium pebbles. Only on the shore there are a few very large stones. It should be noted that before the season of 2013, they clearly worked on the beach - they removed many large boulders and made a good safe entry. In the 2012 season, it was uncomfortable to enter the water on large slippery stones because of this.

If you sail a little, at sunset you will see a fabulous view of the coast, the sea, the pointed cape Alchak, the massive cape Meganom and the entire coast of the Kapsel tract. Even just for the sake of this kind it is worth going there.

On such pebbles it is better to lay a rug, but it is so nice to lie on them under the warm sun after observing the fish in cool water!

Bring swimming goggles or a snorkeling mask with you. In deep places you can admire the unhurried swaying of brown algae and observe an interesting illusion - when sandy islands meet between them, it seems that the bottom moves, and the algae are static. In addition, there are many beautiful pebbles, half a dozen species of fish and you can catch hermit crustaceans.

One of the children's attractions of the campsite is the train. Unfortunately, he clearly needed a tire service ...

Riding on high swing-boats with sea views is also unforgettable. In 2012, they were free for everyone.

And in 2013, and on this they decided to "cut the dough." A trifle, but unpleasant.

Everything in this world has its price, camping is growing and developing, the territory is protected, the beach is cleaned, trees are watered. Nobody has canceled the economy.

Unknown tree by the sea in tasteless fruits. As warm and southern as the sea and warm air, which swayed thin leaves and made them rustle.

And also in Kapsel, free unlimited WiFi Internet, which is why vacationers are delighted: “I’m pumping up films for myself, I’ll pump up music!” - can be heard from the locals. There is no password on WiFi. The speed of 2-5 Mbps is stable even in the evening hours. Sure coverage throughout the campsite, for those who work on the Internet - just a paradise!

There are minor inconveniences in Kapsel - shower water is naturally heated in large black barrels in the sun, so even in the evening it is very invigorating. There are lines in the shower (up to 20 minutes of waiting). On the territory of 4 species of spines grow. But these are mere trifles in comparison with the fabulous beauty of this place, it is indescribably sweet and comfortable.

At the entrance to the campsite, a car pass is checked each time. And even if you pass the checkpoint on foot, you still meticulously ask for the number of the tent place or house. Strange, because the territory of Kapsel is not fenced at all.

Wooden houses

We advise you to rent a wooden triple house in Kapsel. They are few, about 15 pieces. Usually they are busy, but we were very lucky in the peak season to remove the last, just freed. The houses are constantly freed, engaged, but refused to book by phone. It is understandable, without prepayment it is a huge risk for camping. But they will book if someone local comes and gives an advance payment.

The cost of the house in August 2013 was 190 hryvnia (750 rubles) per day.

The advantages of the house are obvious:

• no troubles with a tent and shadow (!!!)
• you can lock the house and leave (leave), almost without fear for things
• sockets and lighting - no need to bother with flashlights and pull extension cords.
• sleeping on a bed with bedding is more pleasant than sleeping on a rug in a sleeping bag.

You can still rent a room with a refrigerator, but it is already much more expensive. Yes, and this is "not sports" :)

Inside there are three beds with mattresses of varying degrees of freshness and clean linens (changed once a week), a folding table, a mirror, a wardrobe, two outlets. All. Nearby is a place for a car and cooking. The only opening window adheres to the welding electrode. The door is the simplest interior type, locked with a key to an equally simple lock. There is a lamp on the street above the door.

Beds can be moved if you are alone.

The roof needs repairs. On the other hand, in August for two years we have never seen rain here.

Despite the popularity of this campsite and the large number of campers, Kapsel is quite quiet, there is no killing music, no loud screams. People came here to relax. Those who need clubs, restaurants and expensive excursions are better to rent a house directly in Sudak.

In the evenings, there is a disco by the sea, but it is so thought out that its noise is directed towards the sea, so it practically does not interfere with campers.

A small world that you can only dream of at home in geometrically regular apartments and gray drizzle outside the window.

Capsel is beautiful even on black southern evenings under numerous stars and rare lanterns. Multi-colored tents shine comfortably ... well!

A little tip. When you are populated - you will be asked to choose a place. Look at the location of the toilets and washbasins (there are several) and estimate the path to these places in a straight line to the rest of the vacationers. It is advisable that your place is not a walk-through.

Total. Very popular camping, but the popularity does not interfere with a relaxing holiday. There are no conflicts between vacationers, everyone is friendly to each other. Much has been thought out, but there are many minor minuses. Nevertheless, we all recommend this camping as close to exemplary.

We arrived there where we were in 2013. Enjoyed, relaxed, sunbathing. Dogs came to us, we fed them. They must have eaten well. Since we had stew cooked in the morning, we decided that the dogs needed to be given to them. And tomorrow we thought that we would figure it out, for us having money is much easier to find food than for dogs who find it difficult even to find fresh water. I liked the dogs. They are very friendly from each other's food did not take away. We ate together \u003d)

This place was chosen without any thought about security, as we thought of climbing up this mountain and sticking a tent there. Indeed, in the evening, it is obvious that silence and calm reign, but what happens after dawn, I will tell you in more detail: since I have a very good sleep, Maxim is responsible for everything that happens at that time, he got up several times, I did not notice this. And he got up for the reason that the tent began to be demolished by the wind. How did Max get out of the situation? He tied the tent on the ropes to the motorcycle, because the bike just doesn’t blow off the central footboard, so this was the only and good option. And so all night and the whole morning. At one point, Maxim woke me up to rearrange things from one side of the tent to the other. The side where I slept was lifted up and almost turned over completely.

We could not endure this horror, began to wake up.

But what do serious people do after such nights and at such a difficult windy moment? Do not know? And here's what: they take a cape from the tent, or you can take the tent itself, and use it as a parachute. This is what we started to do - fly along this peak, holding onto both ends with both hands. Rzhachu was a lot)). They fell, got up and again tried to take off.

Oh yes, we also have almost run out of water, so Max went to explore the lake below. The distance to it is not small, wandered about 15 minutes. And he returned with empty bottles. To the question: "" Where is the water? Did you drink something?)) "", I heard that something was being bred in that water, it is not clear what. Max said it was something like shrimp. Therefore, there was only enough water for breakfast.

Gathering things, the task is not easy, when a crazy wind blows and turns over, just folded, capes. I had to repeat the same movements repeatedly.

Today we drove along the route we were familiar with, which we did in 2013 - it was the road to Sudak. Near each familiar place they stopped and discussed what they had already done here. For example, a cafe with wood paneling, where we ate; white columns with the inscription on them "" SANATORIUM. OLD CRIMEA "", here two years ago they ate a yellow plum and roamed the construction site that was on the other side of the road. That construction has not changed since that moment, but the plums were now still green.

We really wanted to be in the place where we had once been. The foot of Cape Megan, that's what we were striving for today. The tent was set up in another place, in 2013 in this place was a beach densely crowded with sun loungers. And today it is - a place full of freedom and tranquility, where, besides us, there was a small camp of red tents and EVERYTHING, nobody else. For us, this is the best vacation option.

We arrived at the cape long before sunset, so we had time to swim and sunbathe. Having started cooking, two guests came to us - these two dogs were similar in their coloring to hyenas. They had very hungry and sad eyes. But when we gave them part of our stew, they behaved very well-mannered, did not fight, did not take each other from each other, and they even ate bread. Looking at them, we gave them everything we had, they even ate crackers, which proved that they needed more food than us. And we still find ourselves.

In order not to go hungry, Max went to the store. I bought something that was missing, and found water in the same place, there are no columns in this area.

In the evening, we drank tea several more times, ate crackers with raisins, and controlled a motorcycle. He stood at the top of the cliff, the steps to the top were steep and high. Max was a little worried that his horse was so far away. Maxim chose exactly the place where he catches the keyfob signal from the alarm, and therefore our tent was somehow strange - in the center of the entire beach. And we fixed the keychain on the ceiling of the tent and tied it to a rope. Then they fell asleep.
