How to get from Nice airport to the center. From Nice Airport to Genoa. Nice to Cannes

Nice Côte d'Azur Airport (Aeroport Nice Côte d’Azur)  located just 7 km from the city. And there are many advantages to this.

From the airport to the city, if desired, you can even walk. For example, if you arrived at night, the buses no longer go, it’s expensive to take a taxi, but you don’t feel like waiting for 6am. I walked the way from the train station to Nice airport  in about 1.5 hours. The road to the airport runs along the promenade, everywhere there are sidewalks, it is safe to go.

Now, with regard to transport. There is a little trick at the airport, designed for either convenience or ignorance of people. Anyway, from the airport to the center of Nice  the bus can be reached for both 6 euros and 1.5 euros.

An economical way to get to the center of Nice

There are two exits from the airport building; they are located nearby. The first doors exit towards the taxi. The majority skips this exit and goes to the second, where there is a sign with a bus. But if you exit through this exit, then you can economically get to the city.

Outside view

Some buses passing by the airport to the city stop here, for example, 500 and 23 buses.

If the bus travels to Nice, Nice is displayed on the information board (on the outside of the bus). If you are not sure, check with the driver if the bus is going to Nice.

Tickets cost 1.5 euros. The ticket is bought from the driver, after which it must be composted. All tickets are valid for 74 minutes after composting and allow one change in the direction of the path. For example, from a bus to a tram.

Buses stop at the request of passengers. And they can pass by if none of the passengers inside pressed the stop button. Therefore, when you see the bus you need, raise your hand so that it probably stops.

500 bus

500 bus leaves from the French city of Grasse, stops near terminal 1, terminus Jardin albert i / verdun.

Bus 23

Bus 23 does not call at the main railway station, but goes past the railway station TER Railway Station Saint-Augustin.

Buses between terminals

Here, a little to the left (in the picture below) is the stop of free buses plying between terminals 1 and 2. The traffic interval is once every 15 minutes.

Buses 52, 59, 70, 94

From here you can also reach the main road to the public transport stop - Aéroport promenade. Take any bus going to Nice, for example: 52, 59, 70, 94. Tickets also cost one and a half euros.

In the photo below, a stop in the direction of Nice is the one closer to the airport.

Just keep in mind that all this is urban transport and if you have a lot of luggage, then maybe you should use the standard method, which is listed below.

The usual way to get to the city

Buses 98 and 99

The usual way, it's standard. Access to bus numbers 98 and 99 and some others. Bus number 98 travels to the eastern railway station Nis Riquier (Gare de Nice-Riquier), and 99 to the main railway station of the city (Gare Nice Ville SNCF).

Bus 98 and 99 are located near the number 1 hanging in the air. Tickets cost 6 euros. Bought at the box office to the left of the exit.

Ticket office.

Bus schedule:
Bus number 98 - the first at 5:57, the last at 23:50
Bus number 99 - the first at 8:00, the last at 21:00
Frequency approximately once every 20 minutes.

If you do not want to travel for so long, you can get on 400 or 500 buses that stop at the bus stops near the airport Aéroport promenade.

1. On foot

The airport is close enough to the city, you can even say that it is located in the city itself. The most affordable option, if you have a bit of luggage and time allows you to walk. From one end of the English Boardwalk to the other, one and a half hours walk is a walking step. A good way to warm up a bit after the flight and get to know Nice. The promenade runs right along the seashore, there is always some kind of sports activity - people run, ride on roller skates and bicycles.

2. On a 99 or 98 bus for 6 euros

These are not quite ordinary buses, although they look exactly the same as the rest. They go directly from the airport, and therefore the fare for them costs 6 euros per person (April 2014). 99 bus goes to Nice Ville station; 98 bus follows the English promenade to Nice Riquie station. Schedules and bus stops can be found on the official website http://www.lignesdazur.com. In the side column of Fiches horaires in the Ligne field, enter the route number and click "OK".

3. On a regular bus for 1.5 euros

The owner of the apartment in which we lived (Thank you, Carsten) told me about this method. Locals do not use buses 98 and 99, as they consider them to be “wiring” for tourists. You can also get for 1.5 euros per person on a very ordinary bus. At least 52, 59 and 70 buses go past the airport. To find out which bus is right for you, you can again use the service on the website http://www.lignesdazur.com. To do this, in the field "1. Your departure point »  enter: Aeroport / promenade, and in the field 2. Your arrival point  Enter the street where you need to get. The service will give you route options and the nearest stop where you should get off, and also there you can see a map with the location of the stops. The Aéroport / Promenade stop is approximately 100 meters from the exit of the first terminal. A free shuttle runs between the second and first terminals every five minutes. If you do not want to overpay money for travel, then this option is just for you.

From Nice to Cote Dazur Airport - can be reached by all the same methods, only in the opposite. By the way, Cote Dazur from French is translated as "Cote d'Azur".

Nice public transport rule

  • Buses stop on demand. To get to the desired stop, you must press the button in the cabin.
  • If you are standing at a bus stop, it is best to sign the driver with your hand that you want to get on the bus. If no one leaves, and you have not shown a desire to get on the bus, then he will pass by.
  • Tickets are valid for 74 minutes after the start of the trip, but only in one direction. You can make several transfers, but the round trip doesn't work. You need to compost the ticket at each change. The composter will either allow you to go further, or make an unpleasant sound, indicating that your time has run out, or this direction is not available. Tickets are also valid on the city tram.

The capital of the Cote d'Azur and the French Riviera. Nice is a symbol of the Mediterranean way of life, always ready to receive tourists - lovers of a good vacation.

Nice Airport is located just 7 km from the city center. At the airport there are 2 terminals between which free buses run at intervals of 5-10 minutes. Directly from the airport by train or bus, you can leave not only in the center of Nice, but also in different cities of France, Spain, Italy or in Monaco.

We’ll tell you about all the ways you can conveniently get from the airport to the center and neighboring cities and even countries.

At night, you can only get from the airport by taxi.

Taxi and private transfer from the airport

Taxi parking at the exit of the airport. During rush hours, queues are possible waiting for free cars. Taxi drivers must ride on the meter, before the trip, make sure that it is turned on and most importantly - when traveling in the daytime, the meter should work at the daily rate. Some tricky taxi drivers include a nightly rate that is 1.5 times more expensive. The cost of a trip to the center will be about 35 euros.

We recommend that you order a shuttle in advance instead of a taxi. It will be more expensive than a taxi for about 5 euros, but they will meet you with a sign and help with your luggage. The transfer price is known in advance, does not change and does not depend on the time of day, travel on toll roads and other divorces. The transfer can be paid online and then you get rid of the need to pay in cash with the driver.

There are 2 companies where employees of our cozy editorial office usually book a transfer - KiwiTaxi and Intui. Both companies have Russian-language support, but we like Kiwi more, because they have a round-the-clock chat, where you can complain if necessary (although for many years of travel there has never been such a need).

Nice Airport Train

Nice St Augustin Railway Station is 1.5 km from the airport. If you are without luggage, you can certainly take a walk, but this is not the most convenient way. A ticket to the main train station in the center of Nice costs 1.9 euros.

From the main station of Nice, trains leave in all popular destinations in France, Spain and Italy. You can view the schedule and buy tickets at Railurop. A great advantage RailEurope - a site in Russian and all railway European countries.
