What is the Kiev direction? The railway lines running southwest from the capital of Russia have this name, that is, the Kiev direction. The main course of the Kiev direction originates from the Kiev railway station, which, by the way, is located near the Kievskaya metro, passes through the city of Bryansk and goes to the border with Ukraine. It is the Zernovo checkpoint, which is located on the border between Russia and Ukraine, that is the point of completion of the Kiev line on the territory of Russia. By the way, its length is 502.5 km.

If you go into the history of Moscow train stations, it was Kiev Station that was the first station in the capital on the territory of which the first turnstiles were placed at the entrance and exit. That was in the late 1990s. Then magnetic cards, which were very similar to our modern metro cards, were attached to an ordinary paper ticket. Tickets with barcodes did not exist then.

The Kiev direction of the Moscow Railway is a railway line in the south-west of the capital. The main passage from the Kiev railway station through Bryansk to the border with Ukraine is 502.5 km.

After the accession of new territories in 2012, the Kiev direction became the key for the development of New Moscow. Therefore, it was decided to upgrade it on the site from the Kiev railway station to the Aprelevka stopping point.

The work will be carried out in three stages and will be completed within 5 years.

The reconstructed site is located in the Western and Novomoskovsky districts of Moscow, the Odintsovo and Naro-Fominsk districts of the Moscow region. Its length is 33.3 km (25.5 km within Moscow and 7.8 km in the suburbs). Here, 15 stations and stopping points are being reconstructed, 3 new stopping points will be built with the formation of transport interchange nodes (TPU) and additional routes on them.

Reconstruction of the Kiev railway direction:

 • increase passenger traffic in the morning rush hours by 2.5 times (by 30.1 thousand people);
 • electric trains will walk at intervals of about 3 minutes;
 • unload the Kievsky station and the metro station "Kiev" ring by 30%;
 • will give an impetus to the development of territories along the railway;
 • will provide additional pedestrian and car connections through the railway.

The Kiev railway will intersect with four metro stations - Kievskaya, Minskaya, Aminievskoye Shosse and Rasskazovka.

Path development

Now in this direction there are two main routes from the Kiev railway station to Aprelevka (42 km).

The third path will be extended from the Solnechnaya platform to Aprelevka and a fourth path will be built from the Kiev railway station to Aprelevka.

The speed of passenger trains will increase from 120 km / h to 140 km / h.

The construction of additional tracks is possible only with the elimination of plane road crossings. Three new overpasses have already been built - Kokoshkino, Krekshino and Peredelkino, and two more are planned to be built - Lesnoy Gorodok and Aprelevka.

Construction of three stops and four TPU

Stopping point Minsk on the railway and TPU

It will be as close as possible to the metro station of the same name on the Kalinin-Solntsevskaya line in order to combine them into TPU. A comfortable pedestrian crossing for passengers is organized between the railway platform and the metro station.

TPU will unite: metro, railway, ground urban passenger transport.

Stop point Aminevskaya and TPU

From the railway station Aminievskaya it will be possible to transfer to the station of the third metro interchange circuit of the same name. A large transport hub will be created on their basis, which will provide a comfortable transfer between the three modes of transport for more than 117 thousand passengers per day.

Within TPU there are stops of public transport, including intercity flights.

As part of the transportation hub, it is planned to build technological and commercial facilities.

The technological part will include: bus station, terminal building buildings for passenger transport, underpasses, settling and reversal areas of public transport, passenger boarding and disembarkation areas with awnings.

A multifunctional complex with an area of 30 thousand square meters will be built as part of the commercial unit. m with underground parking.

The territory around TPU will be improved and a new city square will be broken.

TPU "Story"

At the base of the Michurinets station of the Kiev direction of the Moscow Railway, a transport interchange hub will appear that will connect it with the Rasskazovka metro station of the Kalinin-Solntsevskaya line.

The technological part of the site, that is, passenger boarding and disembarking platforms and transitions between stops of various types of transport, is planned to be introduced at the end of this year - simultaneously with the completion of the metro station.

In the commercial part of TPU will be built more than 297 thousand square meters. m of real estate, including about 220 thousand. "squares" of housing, a kindergarten and a school. This part of the site will be built by the investor.

It is also planned to erect a shopping complex with an area of about 25 thousand square meters at the entrances to the metro and near public transport m

Sanino stop and TPU

TPU "Krekshino"

It will be created on the basis of the eponymous stopping point. TPU will provide a convenient crossing through railways and transfer to ground passenger city transport.

TPU "Solar" (open)

Location: at Solnechnaya station (between the Skolkovo and Peredelkino platforms)

Here commuter trains and ground passenger transport stop, and there is an end station for 10 bus routes.

Every day, 15 thousand people transplant here. Comfortable and fast movement of passengers between the Solnechnaya railway station and the bus route stop saves up to 10 minutes when transferring from one mode of transport to another.

About 60% of the site’s passengers are users of ground public transport, 30% are residents of the surrounding areas of Solntsevo and Novo-Peredelkino who come to TPU on foot, another 10% are car owners who use the transport hub to transfer to the train or bus. TPU is also used by employees of the Skolkovo innovation center located nearby.

The main part of TPU is a covered pedestrian bridge over more than 20 railways. Due to its width, oncoming traffic passengers can move without interference.

There is a waiting room in the TPU building, four freight and passenger elevators are operating. There are electronic displays with information about the time of arrival of transport.

The interchange hub is equipped with modern systems of heat supply, lighting, air conditioning, fire safety and video surveillance, free public toilets.

The number of ticket offices has increased to seven, ticket vending machines - up to 11. All this makes traveling around TPU convenient and allows you to spend less time on a trip.

During the construction of the unit, major repairs were made of railway platforms and canopies were installed that cover more than half of the platforms.

Basically, trains from Ukraine came to this station, which explains the name of the station. Although at the beginning of its history, when it was just built, it was called - Bryansk Station. The years from its foundation and construction are considered to be the period from 1914 to 1918 and until the first half of the thirties, the station had its first name. Then he became Kiev, and is called to this day.

Overhaul was carried out at the station in 2012, modern security systems were installed, including turnstiles on platforms, video surveillance and a radio warning system.

In addition to long-distance trains, dozens of commuter trains depart daily from the Kiev station. This direction serves the southwestern section of the Moscow region. The branch has several exits, but in comparison with other directions it is quite simple.

Schedule of trains in the Kiev direction starts the movement of trains from 4-5 in the morning and ends after 12 at night. The current schedule can be found at the station itself, on the scoreboard the information is regularly updated and passengers always see if there are any changes.

The scheme of movement of trains in the Kiev direction.

After departure from the station in Moscow, the first section that I would like to highlight will be part of the way to the Lesnoy Gorodok station. There is a branch from this point to Vnukovo Airport. In addition to ordinary trains, high-speed aeroexpress trains go along this route. They are more comfortable, faster, but travel on them will cost more. For people who often fly by plane, special tickets for such aeroexpress trains are provided.

Further, from the Lesnoy Gorodok point, the train goes in a straight line to Bekasovo-1 station. Here the passengers will find a fork: one branch leaves for the final destination at Kresty station, and the second goes further along the train to Tikhonov Pustyn station. The route does not end there yet, there are two more branches to the Kaluga 1 and Kaluga 2 stations.

From Kievsky station to Maloyaroslavets

It should also be noted that from the Bekasovo-1 station there are also connecting railway tracks that lead to the Belarusian direction, to the Kubinka station.
 The route itself is simple, just look at it on the map and even guests of the capital will be able to figure out and understand how to go and which of the stops to go to. Suburban transport schemes are available both at the Kiev station and in the train cars themselves.

The cost of tickets for trains in Kiev direction.

For example, here are a few options for tickets for travel on this branch:
 - from Vnukovo airport to Moscow by aeroexpress you can get for 400 rubles;
 - from the Lesnoy Gorodok station to Moscow - 70 rubles;
 - from the Kiev railway station to the Bekasovo-1 filling station, a ticket costs 120 rubles;
 - from Moscow to the final station Kaluga -1 - 300 rubles.

As you can see, the ticket price directly depends on the distance, if you have to travel often, it is advantageous to buy a travel card, it will help reduce costs.

In addition to ordinary trains, high-speed commuter trains also run in this direction. Traveling for them costs a little more, but less travel time will be spent. When choosing between transport options, you need to consider how far you are going to travel. Because in small sections of the route this reduction in time will be small - up to 5-10 minutes, but if you need to go from Moscow to a remote station, then you should use a high-speed train - you can reduce the travel time to 30-40 minutes.

Suburban railways cover almost the entire Moscow region. This allows passengers who live in the suburbs, but work or study in Moscow, to quickly get from the capital, while not stopping in traffic jams. Electric trains are an inexpensive and convenient form of transport, without which it is already difficult to imagine life in the capital and other large cities and nearby settlements.

Train Kievskiy station

Today, transport has become an important component of the life of a modern person. Every day we go to work or study, and during the holidays or weekends we often get out of town. To make the journey easy and comfortable, often the choice of passengers falls on commuter trains.

Their schedule is very tight, there are several trips per day, from early morning to late evening. The road will not present unpleasant surprises in the form of pits in the pavement or a poor primer. A train ride is always a clear schedule and an affordable ticket price.

And for regular trips, this will be just a great option. You can buy a ticket and calmly go about your business in the morning or evening, without worrying about where to leave your car, spending time looking for a parking lot or waiting in traffic jams.

One of the branches of the Moscow commuter trains was the Kiev direction.
 Usually, the Kiev direction involves daily round-the-clock train traffic.
This is a relatively small branch, compared with other lines of suburban railways.
 From the Kiev railway station, the route passes through many stations and ends at the platforms of the railway station in Kaluga.

The Kiev direction has several important transport hubs. The first of these is a branch towards Vnukovo Airport. A separate branch departs from the main line to the airport, which is interesting only for passengers gathering or arriving from the airport.

Schedule of Kiev train lines for today and tomorrow

In addition to the train, an aeroexpress also runs in this direction, which quickly delivers travelers to the airport. It is more comfortable, the seats in the cars are soft, but the price for this comfort is quite high, several times higher than for a simple electric train.

The nodal station on this branch will be Bekasovo 1. This station turned out to be quite multifunctional: there is an opportunity to transfer to three other branches at once.

The first option is a line leading towards Kubinka, also a major transit stop.

The second option is to turn towards Kresty station, this branch leads further to Stolbovaya station.

And the third option is to continue the route, going south from Bekasovo 1 station towards Kaluga.

Kaluga railway station has platforms for passenger traffic and for freight trains.
 As mentioned above, this branch is relatively short, you can travel from Moscow to the final station in about three hours.

Scheme of the route of movement of electric trains in the Kiev direction on the map

At each of the oncoming stations, the suburban train makes a stop for a couple of minutes so that passengers have time to get out or board the train. On platforms, there are usually several platforms, so before landing, it will be correct to look at the diagram and go to the desired platform. At each station, the schedule of movement of commuter trains with their numbers and platform stops is necessarily posted.

If you need to get from a suburban station to any of the towns or cities, passengers can take a bus. Often, bus stops are located near the stations and you can continue the journey by bus right after the train.

To form the cost of travel on a suburban train, a system has been developed for distributing the route to sections. These sections are designated as passenger areas and ticket pricing is done for these areas. Accordingly, the closer - the cheaper the fare. Ticket price from 50 to 250 rubles per trip for an adult. There are discounts for children and students.

Kiev station on the map

Passengers who use electric trains constantly come easier: they do not buy one-time tickets, but purchase a ticket immediately. This makes the commuter train an even more affordable mode of transport for work and leisure.

And if we recall traffic jams on the roads of Moscow, especially in the center, and eternal expectations in them, then the benefits of electric trains immediately multiply at times: quickly, reliably, inexpensively and always on time.

Before the trip, be sure to look at the scheme of suburban trains, this will help pave the shortest and most optimal way to the place where you need to come.

In the Kiev direction, only from the Kiev station

At the beginning of its history, and it has been going on since 1899, the building was an inconspicuous one-story building. The Kievsky station acquired a modern look in 1918. From the beginning of the 2000s, a phased reconstruction of the building and adjacent infrastructure begins. In 2004, the landing stage was rebuilt, in 2012 - overhaul of the building, last year the turnstile hall of commuter trains was opened. Now the building meets all the rules and regulations of the railway.

If we take into account the schedule of electric trains in the Kiev direction, the station is the starting and ending point not only for suburban electric trains, but also for long-distance trains. As mentioned above, the Kiev direction is the smallest in the suburban traffic of the capital. The last stopping point for electric trains are the Kaluga 1 and Kaluga 2 stations. 11 electric trains leave for the first of these stations, the first departs at 01.29, the last at 21.06. There is only one electric train going to the second station - at 22.07.

Branching of the movement of trains

In this direction of trains there are sections where they switch to other branches:
 - Solar - Novoperedelkino;
 - Forest Town - Vnukovo Airport;
 - Bekasovo-1 - Detkovo and Kubinka;
 - Tikhonov Desert in Kaluga-1

Scheme of stations in the Kiev direction of trains

Electric trains to "side" stations

If we talk about trains that go to the above stations, then:
- Novoperedelkino - 13 electric trains, the first at 07.07, the last at 22.07;
 - Vnukovo Airport - 3 electric trains at 07.35, 17.11 and 18.44;
 In the direction of “Kubinka” and “Detkovo”, electric trains depart from the stations “Bekasovo” and “Aprelevka”.

Large stopping points of the Kiev direction

If we talk about other major stops in the Kiev direction, then this is Aprelevka, Naro-Fominsk, Maloyaroslavets. You can get to Aprelevka during the day by 75 electric trains, the first of them leaves at 00.36 and follows to Naro-Fominsk, the next flight will have to wait until 04.38. On the way to Aprelevka, you can get off to Skolkovo, Peredelkino, Tolstopaltsevo.
