In ancient times, the fort served as a defense against Dutch ships. But at the beginning of the XVII century, after the siege, the fort was captured by the Dutch. During World War II, American troops were stationed on the fort, and Fort Reis Magus was called “Victory Springboard” in the documents. A museum is currently open at the fort.

Aquarium (Natal Aquario )

In Natal is one of Brazil's largest aquariums. In this aquarium, you can see more than 60 species of sea water inhabitants: seahorses, piranhas, shrimps, lobsters, oysters, stingrays, lobsters, octopuses. Sharks swim in a large tank.
