Since September 14, 2015, it has been valid in Russia new system issuing visas to Schengen countries. Russian citizens will need to undergo the procedure of collecting biometric data: fingerprints and digital photography.

PROCEDURE FOR CAPTURE OF BIOMETRIC DATA FOR APPLICATION OF SCHENGEN VISAS

All Russian citizens over 12 years of age must undergo the procedure of obtaining biometric data (10 fingerprints and digital photography). Children under 12 years of age, as well as disabled people who are physically unable to provide fingerprints, are exempt from this procedure. The procedure for collecting biometric data is carried out once every five years and is valid for all Consulates of the Schengen countries. Visas issued after September 14, 2015 will be marked VIS (Visa Information System).

If necessary, the Consulate may request a repeat procedure for removing biometric data. The procedure for submitting biometric data must be completed by authorized persons. Submitting a set of documents to the visa center for a visa and completing the procedure for taking biometric data is carried out strictly on the same day. Please note that it is not possible to submit documents for a visa to a visa center in Moscow, but to submit biometric data at a visa center in another city in Russia. Multiple entry visas, issued before September 14, 2015 will be valid until the expiration of these visas.

SUBMISSION OF DOCUMENTS AND REGISTRATION AT THE VISA CENTER

The Spain Visa Application Center in Moscow has the following visa fees:

To obtain any short-term visa (tourism, business, transit, cultural activity, invitation visa, etc.) you must pay 35 euros in ruble equivalent at the internal exchange rate of the Spanish Embassy. This cost includes consideration of papers in the usual manner.
For an urgent visa (issued in less than 5 days or within 24 hours) you must pay 70 euros in ruble equivalent. Please note that an urgent visa can be issued for a stay of no more than 10 days, and the purpose of the visit must be business or an urgent situation (illness, death, urgent hospitalization).
A service fee is also paid, which is 15.5 euros in ruble equivalent at the internal exchange rate of the Spanish Embassy.

The urgency of obtaining a visa does not affect the amount of the service fee. There is no need to pay fees for children under 6 years old. Consular and service fees are paid at the ticket office of the Visa Center; for this you need to provide a general passport and the required amount in rubles. Payment can be made either in cash or by credit card.

Each category pays a different amount.
