What to see in Nha Trang first

List all the interesting places of Nha Trang could be infinitely long. Therefore, we offer you only those best sights of Nha Trang with which your trip will be truly memorable and informative:

1. Long Son Pagoda

To begin acquaintance with the city is usually advised by visiting the temple of the White Buddha. The date of creation (and restoration) of the attraction is the end of the 18th and beginning of the 19th century. In front of the pagoda is an area with manicured flower beds and stella-stone obelisks. You can climb to the temple by breaking about 150 steps. The path to the top, on which the 14-meter-high Buddha rises white, can be done on a bike. Behind the statue there is an entrance to the temple. The Long Son complex also includes a beautiful bell tower with a large bell inside.

2. Suoy Do Pagoda

The temple is located on a hill outside the city. Get ready for the fact that your trip and further hike to the pagoda (including climbing uphill) will be quite long. But it is necessary to inspect such sights of Nha Trang. From the top you can see the verdant territory of the city, the slopes and endless rice fields.

3. Nha Trang Cathedral

The building is located in the central part of the city on a small slope. Construction work was carried out at a time when the state was a French colony - in the middle of the 20th century. You can climb to the temple by stairs. Before entering the cathedral, you can see statues of St. Our Lady and Jesus. The interior is represented by beautiful glass stained-glass windows and numerous benches made of wood. Several hundred believers can be present at the temple at the same time.

4. Cable car to Hong Che island

The metal structure combines the shores of the city with the island of Hong Che, which houses the famous entertainment complex Winperl. The length of the cable car, illuminated by colorful lights in the evening, is over three kilometers. Traveling over the waters lasts about 12 minutes, enough to take great photos, look at the islands and the banks of Nha Trang.

5. Oceanarium Chi Nguyen

A great option to visit as a family in Nha Trang. The building has the shape of a ship, moored to the coast. The Maritime Museum was opened thanks to a local wealthy fisherman - he allocated the necessary financial resources from his own budget. The complex consists of several separate artificial reservoirs. In one of the zones there are predatory inhabitants of the seas and oceans, in the other two - exotic fish and "calm" inhabitants of the waters. Aquarium guests are allowed to feed the fish. Aquariums are arranged on several levels of the building along the ship decks.

6. Winperl Amusement Park

If you do not know where to go with children in Nha Trang, come to this famous amusement park. On the territory there is an equipped beach, a water park with various water attractions, an aquarium, dolphinariums, an area with slot machines. As we have already said, cableway allows you to get to Winperl.

7. The Lotus Tower

What to see in Nha Trang in 1 day for fans of modern architecture? The building, made in the form of a lotus flower, which is a real decoration of the city's promenade. Before, in its place was a memorial complex. The tower houses an exhibition center with permanent and temporary exhibitions on various topics.

8. Museum of Alexander Yersen

The complex is located on the territory of a research center created in the late 18th century by Yersen. Note that the name of a scientist who devoted himself to the study of deadly bacteria in Nha Trang is a lot of educational institutions and streets. The exhibition imitates the working environment of the researcher’s office. Examples include Yersen's tools, personal items, and literature.

9. Institute of Oceanography

Employees of the institute, founded in 1920, are engaged in the study of the sea. At the institution there is an oceanarium, in the aquariums of which exotic fish swim, huge turtles, sharks and stingrays. On the second floor of the Maritime Museum there are halls with stuffed aquatic inhabitants. Partially, the collection of exhibits is located in water bodies on the street, and partially - inside the complex.

10. The Citadel of Dien Khan

The approximate date of the construction of the defensive structure is the 18th century. To create a fortress, marble and brick were used. Currently, only a small part of the citadel has survived, including dilapidated walls and gates. But they are in a rather neglected “historical” state. The object was damaged by the actions of the French army.

11. Young Bay Eco Park

All guides in Nha Trang recommend a trip to this wonderful natural complex. The park is an hour's drive from the city. Guests can enjoy all kinds of entertainment: from cockfights and pig races to listening to the music of the raglag tribe, feeding alligators and trips on ostriches. There are several waterfalls on the territory of Young Bay Park.

12. Ba Ho Waterfall

A natural attraction is located near Zoklet Beach. The path to it is quite complicated, and lies among the mountains. The structure of Ba HoB Ho - several waterfalls. Many travelers inspect only the first, as the remaining two are in the distance.

13. Hong Moon Island

The island-reserve is a huge success among fans of scuba diving. Since the waters washing it are crystal clear, and the banks are strewn with numerous coral reefs. 14. Monkey Island

This amazing island is included in all the lists of "main". It is located a couple of tens of kilometers from the center of Nha Trang, and in previous years served as the location of the scientific center for the study of monkeys. Due to the fact that the center belonged to the authorities of the USSR, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, it officially ceased to exist. Many primates were taken out of the island, others fled to the local forest. Currently, about one and a half thousand animals live on the territory of this nature reserve under natural conditions. Their guests should be extremely careful: as animals are not afraid of people, and with pleasure they snatch bags, smartphones and other items from them. Return loss is not easy. It is also worth visiting the reserve for the sake of an amusement park, a beach, a green garden and an oriental circus (you do not need to buy additional tickets, their price is included in the price of tickets for holidays on the island). 15. Complex I-Resort

The famous city mud bath, offering its guests a variety of health and beauty treatments. Services are provided comprehensively (packages). 16. Salt plantations of Hong Khoy

On plantations located close to Zoklet beach (and 50 km from the city), salt production is carried out on an industrial scale. The fields are flooded with salt water, which evaporates in a couple of days, leaving only white crystals. The salt collected in the early morning hours is sent for processing. At the height of the day, work on its collection is not carried out, because "Daytime" crystals are considered unsuitable for use.

17. Nha Trang Beach

The length of the beach line is several kilometers. Sunbathing and swimming here is completely free. But if you want to use umbrellas or deck chairs, you still have to pay for them. Along the coastline is a promenade lined with stone. After you visit everything, come here to relax and unwind. The beach is visited and crowded.

18. Zoklet beach

One of the most beautiful and secluded beaches of Nha Trang. It is located fifty kilometers from the city in its northern part. You can get to Zoklet not only by bike or taxi, but also by public transport. The area is famous for its magnificent landscapes. The waters are crystal clear and transparent. Here you can recommend a vacation to those who want to spend time in peace and quiet. And also for tourists with children: a shallow depth, a gentle descent into the sea.

The attraction is located in the north of the city. Hong Chong is covered with stones of all shapes and sizes. Often these stones create original figures, against which tourists like to be photographed. Local souvenir shops offer commemorative paintings made of pebbles. Temples of Nha Trang

# 1: Long Son Pagoda

One of Nyanchag's popular attractions is the White Buddha Temple. The temple is located in the city center. It was founded by a monk in 1886, but in 1900, after the last great hurricane, the temple was destroyed, and then, what remained of the previous building, was moved to another place and restored.

In front of the temple itself there is an area on which there are stone obelisks (stelae), near them are well-groomed flower beds with flowers.

To get to the temple you need to overcome the 144 steps, but for those who do not really want to strain, you can go upstairs and by bike. Before you rise to the very top, somewhere in the center, there is a statue of a “reclining buddha”, having looked at it and rested, you can move on.

Rising higher, you will see a large bell hanging inside a small but beautiful made bell tower. And at the end, at the very end of the ascent, you will find a huge, seated 14 meter white Buddha. On the back of the stele on which the Buddha sits, there is an entrance to a small temple.

The whole walk will take you no more than one hour.

St. Mary's Cathedral itself is located on a small hill in the heart of the vibrant city. From the beach to the cathedral, you can take a bus in about 10 minutes.

The Catholic Cathedral was built in the 1930s of the 20th century, at a time when Vietnam was still a French colony. In order to get to the cathedral you must first go upstairs. In front of the cathedral itself and around it are statues of Jesus Christ, as well as the Virgin Mary.

Going inside, you will see a large space with standing in a long row of wooden benches for believers. A temple can accept up to several hundred worshipers at a time. Here you will feel the peace reigning around you, you will see beautiful glass stained-glass windows with the image of Christ, the righteous Joseph and the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Entrance to the Catholic Cathedral is free, it will take you no more than 15-20 minutes to complete the inspection of the cathedral.

The peoples of Tampa (Champa), who once lived on the territory of modern Vietnam, built the so-called Täma or Chama Towers of Po Nagar, from the 8th to the 12th century, on Mount Kulao in the north of Nha Trang.

The towers are located on the banks of the Kai River (Hon Cau) in the northern part of Nha Trang.

The temple complex itself consists of four towers, the highest tower, the tower of Po Nagar, built and dedicated to the goddess Po Nagar. This goddess, according to their legend, taught people various crafts and agriculture.

Fun and relaxation

Next to Nha Trang is the island of Hon Che (Hon Tre Island), a cable car stretches to it, along which tourists rush to get into.

This road stretched for more than three kilometers; cabs for 8 people each traveled along it. Travel time on it is about 12 minutes.

If you came to Nha Trang with friends or family, then you just definitely need to visit Winperl Park. To do this, you need to devote a whole day to all the entertainment that will be there.

Twenty kilometers from the northern part of the city is the island of Hon Lao or Monkey Island. There is a monkey nursery on the island, where the monkeys live in their natural conditions.

The islands themselves are located near the coast and can be reached by small boat. It has a cafe, shops, a park, a beach. There are regularly held shows with animals.

Monkeys know if you climbed into a bag, it means there will be a treat. But be careful with your things, as there are arrogant individuals that can tear out both your wallet and camera and even bite. So do not tease them in vain, but buy it, it is better even beforehand, before arriving on the island of bananas and treat them.

Cost:  a visit to the island of monkeys   is free, you will only need to pay for the steam or boat that will take you to it.

Museums

#7: Oceanographic Museum

Close to sports and not far from Bao Dai Villas is the Nha Trang Oceanographic Museum. This is a pretty interesting place. In it you can see various marine inhabitants of the South China Sea - these are stingrays and sea turtles, as well as various types of beautiful marine fish.

It will be interesting for both children and adults. Here you can see the huge skeleton of a whale, various stuffed marine mammals. There is also a storage facility for alcoholic exhibits.

Cost:  40,000 dong for adults, for children 10,000 dong

Working hours:  from 6:00 to 1800 during all days of the week, including holidays

Is free:  Children under 6 years old or up to 1.2 meters tall, as well as older persons and persons with disabilities.

Alexander Yersen is a French bacteriologist. Since 1895 he worked in Nha Trang at the Pasteur Institute, worked on the creation of a vaccine against plague. Since 1902, the director of the medical school in Hanoi. Since 1934, Honorary Director of the Pasteur Institute in Paris. He is the discoverer of the microbe that caused the bubonic plague.

Guava Sports Bar, Restaurant & Lounge  (17 Biet Thu Street)

The bar in the city center has earned a good reputation as a new and chic lounge with good musicians. Inside, you can find comfortable chairs, the menu offers good cocktails. There is also a TV room where sporting events are shown, as well as billiards and darts. Mixed music that plays in the background will like it. The bar is open until 01:00.

Jack "s Roof Terrace Bar and Restaurant(96A / 8 Tran Phu Street)

South of the city center (across the street from Evason Ana Mandara) you can find this cute and lively bar with its funny guests. Jolly leprechaun  (Tran Phu)

The Irish Pub is located at Sunrise Nha Trang Beach Hotel & Spa, on the ground floor of its annex from Chang Fu Street. Guests can enjoy a wide selection of beers at the pub, including Guinness and Amber. Philippine music bands perform here every Friday and Saturday. The bar is open from 5pm to midnight.

Oasis  (3 Tran Quang Khai)

The main feature of the bar is a nice roof terrace. The bar hosts regular DJ performances, and sometimes transvest shows. It is very loud, sweaty and fun here! The bar is a favorite destination for young travelers from all over the world. The bar is open daily from 8am to 6am.

Rainbow bar  (90a Hung Vuong)

This is part of the Rainbow Divers Diving Center. Here you can try local beers, cocktails and imported ales and wines. It is great to come here for hearty breakfasts (baked beans and sausages), as well as for pies with meat and potatoes, hamburgers with beef and pizza. You can also sit at one of the tables in the fresh air next to the bar. Happy hours are 20:30 - 22:30. In general, the bar opened from 6 in the morning.

Red apple club  (54 Nguyen Thien Thuat)

A small pub is popular with tourists due to good music and a daring interior with numerous graffiti on the walls. Inside there are several televisions, as well as a pool table. Ladies night on Mondays.

The sailing club  (72-74 Tran Phu Street - opposite the Hai Yen Hotel)

If you are going to walk closer to midnight, then head to this "sailing club". This is a gathering place for almost everyone who is not yet sleeping in the city. The club is located right on the beach, and has a spacious seating area both inside and out, and at night guests can come off on the dance floor, which turns out to be crowded on the weekend. Try to get to the party, which is held once a month and is called Insomnia (Insomnia). The bar is open from 10am to 2am every day.

The shamrock bar  (56a Nguyen Thien Thuat Street)

If you are tired of dance music that rumbles in almost all the bars of the city, take a look at this Irish pub, which is owned by two Scots. Guests can enjoy beer and cider at the bar, and relax in a relaxing atmosphere. The bar also offers rafting on the Kai River.

Those who come just to wallow on the beaches should choose the spring or summer months for vacation - during this period the most transparent water in the sea, which is especially important for snorkelling enthusiasts. You can actually swim in Nha Trang at any time of the year, just October-November can disappoint with cloudy and rainy weather. Go diving

The main diving schools in Vietnam are in Nha Trang and near the city. There you can learn scuba diving skills from experienced instructors (including Russian speakers) who hold PADI, BSAC, CMAS and HMA certificates. Diving can be either daytime or night, individual or group. Nha Trang Bay is one of the most important coral centers in the South China Sea. About eight hundred species of coral live in this area. Along the coast are the wreckage of fifteen sunken ships. Lovers of underwater adventures are especially fond of exploring corals near the uninhabited island of Hong Moon - there is a whole marine park covering an area of \u200b\u200bfour hundred and thirty hectares! Hard and soft corals grow in this park, many species of marine animals, fish, mollusks and crustaceans live. Here you can see octopuses, cuttlefish, seahorses, spotted nudibranchs ... Other islands located in the Nha Trang Bay - Hon Nok, Hon Rock and Hon Che, located ten kilometers from the Kaud pier, are also interesting. You can get there by boat in about an hour. The depth in the bay is from 12 to 32 meters, diving here is also interesting due to the large number of caves and coral reefs.

View on salt fields

Salt plantations are located along the coast, from Nha Trang to them - forty-five km. They are similar in appearance to rice fields, occupy vast territories and are divided into plots. In order to get salt, they don’t really “steam” in the process - they just wait until sea water evaporates, and then they collect salt deposits formed on the surface and take them to the collection point. Accordingly, such labor is not paid high for workers. Mostly mining takes place from January to August, when the sun fries the most. Salt plantations begin on the road to Doc Let beach and then for many kilometers ... The view of these white fields is quite original, fans of the unusual should definitely like it.

Take a cable car ride and have fun at Vinpearl Land

The longest cable car passing over the surface of the sea is located right here in Nha Trang. The height at which the cabins fly is from forty to sixty meters. cable car takes you to about. Hong Che: to Vinpearl Resort and Vinpearl Land Amusement Park. The journey takes twelve minutes. This park consists of a water park, the Underwater World aquarium (you can see three hundred species of marine fauna in it), a music and laser show, a 4D cinema and many other entertainments. On the island there is still where to walk and sunbathe, in addition to an amusement park, so it is usually customary to spend all day here.

To get to this park on the island of Hong Che, it is not necessary to use the cable car - you can also get there by boat from the southern city pier. However, it is with the help of the cableway that the buzz itself is. Some agencies may offer you a free shuttle service to the cable car when purchasing tickets to the amusement park and cable car. You can also get to it yourself - for this, take the bus number 4 in the tourist quarter.

The fare is 5 thousand dong.

Vinpearl Land Park welcomes visitors every day, it opens at 09:00 and is open until 22:00.

For the cable car and the park you need to buy one common ticket - and there already have fun and ride on it at least until the evening. This ticket costs 450 thousand dong for an adult, 350 thousand for a child. Admission is free for children whose height does not exceed a meter. If you decide to get to the island of Hong Che on your own, then for the entrance to the Vinpearl Land park you will pay 380 thousand dongs.

Go to Monkey Island

Hon Lao Island belongs to only one full owner - the monkeys. Nowadays, the population, according to some sources, is several hundred animals, in former times there were several thousand ... Here they were engaged in targeted breeding of monkeys, including for our old native Country of the Soviets, in which the animals were used for scientific purposes.

Monkeys on the island feel free, they have no restrictions on movement. Basically, they are not found on the coast, but a little closer to the center of Hon Lao Island. Here you should be careful and reliably keep everything valuable, because the monkeys know that they are not averse to stealing from the gullible tourist what they like.
