Exhibition center pavilion 12 on the map. For which Gerasim drowned his mum. Entrances: Likhoborsky, State Farm, Fair

Most of the exhibitions and fairs at VDNH are held in one of two exhibition pavilions: 69 and 75. These pavilions are located next to each other, to the right of the main entrance to VDNH, at a distance of about 800 meters from it (to the entrance to pavilion 75 from the VDNH arch; the total distance from the metro exit will be approximately 1,400 meters).

To go through on the territory of VDNH to these pavilions, the easiest way to navigate is the monument to V.I. Lenin, who stands in front of the Central Pavilion of VDNH. Having reached it from the arch of the main entrance (straight, 300 meters) you need to turn right - you will see the entrance to Pavilion 75 at the end of the alley. Pavilion 69 is located behind it (see diagram).

Alternative optionhow to get to these pavilions: if you are traveling on a monorail, you need to get off at the final stop "Sergei Eisenstein Street". Leaving the station, you will find yourself in front of the gate to the territory of VDNH, the entrance to the North-2, from which it is only 200 meters to the entrance to Pavilion 69.

It is impossible to imagine Russia without Moscow, and Moscow without The idea of creating an exhibition arose back in 1923, but the final appearance of VDNH was formed much later after a large-scale reconstruction of 1935-1954. The exhibition changed its name several times, but the layout of the pavilions at VDNH did not change significantly. Numerous objects, monuments and pavilions are outstanding examples of the architecture of the Soviet era. For almost a century of history, VDNH has become not only a favorite place for Muscovites and visitors, but also the largest exhibition center in Russia and Europe.

VDNH: plan

The total area of the Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy after merging with the Botanical Garden and Ostankino Park is 520 hectares. This vast territory cannot be carefully examined even in a few days. The pavilions of the exhibition present the most advanced innovative technologies in all spheres of human activity. The layout of the VDNH pavilions is needed by numerous visitors for a more efficient inspection, depending on plans and tasks. The easiest way is to get by metro to the VDNH Station or other public transport at 119 Mira Avenue.

The main entrance

Coming out of the metro and heading to the main entrance, pay attention to the Cosmonautics Museum, over which is worth a visit. Along the central alley, passing the arch of the main entrance, you can get to a large square, in the center of which is the famous fountain "Friendship of Peoples." Around the fountain are the Central House of Nations and pavilions: "Public Education", "Biology", "Physics", "Chemistry", "Standards", "Printing", "Coal Industry" and "Atomic Energy". The VDNH scheme will lead to the Stone Flower fountain, and along the way you can visit the pavilions: Kazakhstan, Trade Union Exhibition Center, Healthcare, Azerbaijan, Radio Engineering and Communications, Optics, Culture. Thus, you can reach the center of the exhibition by viewing several thematic exhibitions.

Khovansky gate

Through this gate you can also get to the heart of the complex, which houses three aircraft and a model of the Gagarin rocket "Vostok", which is located in front of the pavilion "Cosmos". Passing along Khovanskaya Street, it is worth examining the pavilions: "Hydrometeorology", "Forestry", "Chemical industry", "Beekeeping", "Microbiology", "Oil industry". Despite the historically far-sighted architectural solution, the layout of the VDNKH pavilions is constantly updated based on economic and political requirements. Therefore, you must follow the information. Near the pavilion "Cosmos" there are also expositions: "Transport", "Physical Culture", "Mechanical Engineering", "Electrification", "Veterinary Medicine".

Entrances: Likhoborsky, State Farm, Fair

From the eastern side, VDNH can be reached through three entrances. From Eisenstein Street, visitors go to the fairgrounds and the ultra-modern pavilion No. 75. Via Sovkhoznaya Street you can go to the livestock and agriculture complex. It includes pavilions: Pig, Sheep, Dairy, Meat, Cattle, Poultry, Hunting and Hunting, Processing of Agricultural Products and much more. If you get to the exhibition through Likhoborsky entrance, the VDNH scheme will lead to the artificial lakes where the pavilions are located: “Shipbuilding”, “Fishing”, “Nature Protection”. Using this entrance, wedding processions for painting in the newly opened

Entrance from the Botanical Garden

At VDNH, developers and manufacturers provide the best examples of their work. This also applies to the breeding programs of the exhibition pavilions. Those who wish can purchase seeds and seedlings of crops obtained as a result of many years of scientific work. After a walk through the Botanical Garden, guests of the exhibition can see the pavilions “Rabbit breeding”, “Economics and organization of the agricultural sector” and the large complex “Horse Breeding” with a walking park. Further, the VDNH scheme will lead to the central pavilions and fountains.

VDNH for the whole family

The exhibition will be interesting to everyone: from the smallest guests to the elderly. For educational purposes, visit the mock-up of the Buran reusable spacecraft; an exposition dedicated to the creation of the shuttle is operating in the fuselage. Nearby is the pavilion "Polytechnic", constantly updated thematic exhibitions will pleasantly surprise you with their diversity. A fascinating “journey to Mars” was organized at the Museum of Mars (the “Cosmos” pavilion), and the Museum of Illusions and Labyrinths will provide nine attraction programs for amateurs taking pictures against the backdrop of unusual scenery. Exciting events are held in the House of Culture, where concerts, exhibitions, and meetings with interesting and famous people are held. Cinema “Circular panorama” can be attributed to this category: watching films creates a wonderful place where the viewer becomes a part of the action. The VDNH scheme is sure to be needed by lovers of cycling and rollerblading (a rental point to the left of the main entrance). I would like to pay special attention to the Moskvarium Aquarium, which allows you to look into the depths of the World Ocean. The complex includes an aquarium, a swimming center with dolphins and a main hall for large-scale and colorful performances with marine animals and pinnipeds. The children’s admiration is caused by the Attropark at VDNKh, which is located to the right of the main entrance. Sixteen of the most modern attractions will please not only children, but also adults.

When walking along the picturesque paths of the complex and visiting the numerous pavilions, visitors will definitely need the VDNH scheme. Moscow is always glad to welcome its guests and surprise with cultural and architectural sights, which, of course, include the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy.

Today in pavilion No. 75 at VDNKh-VVC you can see a model of Moscow made on a scale of 1: 400.

On an area of more than 120 square meters, about 9 thousand miniature buildings are represented. To enhance the experience, the latter have built-in LEDs that create the effect of lighting in a night city.

Photo 1. Model of Moscow at VDNH (general view)

Model of Moscow. The beginning of the story

In 1975, an exhibition of the Hungarian People's Republic was held at VDNH, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the liberation of its capital from the Nazis. It was there that the model of the center of Budapest was presented, which aroused interest not only among visitors, but also among metropolitan architects.

The then chief architect of Moscow, Mikhail Vasilievich Posokhin, turned to the Chairman of the Moscow City Council, Vladimir Fedorovich Promyslov, with a request to create a similar model of the city of Moscow and received approval. Starting from 1976 and practically until 1986, two teams of mock-ups worked on it, who created mock-up elements at the Kartolitografiya factory.

From the very beginning, due to the fact that the scale was chosen at 1: 500, it became clear that the whole city in miniature would occupy a significant area, and therefore they decided to conduct a prototype of the city center - to the borders of the Garden Ring.

They created a prototype of Moscow to their conscience: the buildings were made of maple, the birch was used for the relief of the capital, and the Kremlin ensemble was made from a number of valuable types of wood - red, lemon, amaranth and holly. Domes of Kremlin cathedrals were treated with gold leaf, and the main waterways of the city - the Moscow River and Yauza - were made from rosewood.

To accommodate the layout of the city, which in finished form had dimensions of 12x12 meters, by 1986 an individual building was built on Brestskaya Street, where it was placed in the main hall.

It is worth noting that the layout carried not only demonstration functions, but was also used by Moscow architects in their direct work.

Because all the miniature buildings were removable, and the Moscow model itself was assembled on 2x2 meter sliding platforms - this allowed architects to determine the planning characteristics of new objects and skillfully fit them into an already formed architectural ensemble of a particular district of the city, setting their miniature in the planned place.

Among the first visitors to such an original exhibition were Boris Nikolayevich Yeltsin and Fidel Castro. The "House on Brest" also held receptions for foreign delegations arriving in Moscow.

A new history of the creation of the city in miniature

They talked about a new, modern layout recently - in 2011. Initially, they wanted to execute it in color in accordance with the layout of American New York on a scale of 1: 1200, which would allow placing the entire territory of the city of Moscow within its historical borders on a relatively small space. This idea was abandoned when new territories were added to the capital, after which they settled on a scale of 1: 400 and decided to prototype only the central part of the capital.

The work began in the fall of 2012 and less than three years later - in the first summer days of 2015 - the first part was put on display.

Further, the layout of Moscow was constantly supplemented, and it is planned to completely complete the work on its production in 2017, when its total area will reach a size of 950 square meters and it will become one of the largest in the world.

Today, on a model of Moscow, the VDNH-VVC presents the main attractions of the capital, as well as places of active and cultural recreation popular with tourists and Muscovites.

I would like to emphasize that the layout is made with amazing detail of all the buildings presented, and there are, almost, 6 and a half thousand of them, and the landscape of the city territory.

To enhance the visual effect, the surface of the Moskva River and Yauza were performed in a technique that allowed creating a kind of water ripple on the mirror of these two arteries.

In the model of Moscow, the VDNKh also mounted a special illumination of buildings from the inside, which serves not only to create the effect of a night city, but also allows you to highlight buildings depending on their purpose: residential, administrative, cultural and transport infrastructure ...).
