Dubai Venice-Madinat Jumeirah. Dubai Venice - Madinat Jumeirah Madinat Jumeirah Dubai Venice

There is one wonderful place in Dubai called Madinat Jumeirah . You can easily spend your whole day here! First of all, it is a resort that includes a chain of the most luxurious hotels in Dubai: Mina AL Salam, Al Qasr, Dar Al Masyaf.

But it is also just a huge territory, which includes the Traditional Arabic Market, stylized in antique style.

And along all these hotels and the market there are relaxing spa centers and restaurants. An artificial canal was created here, where everyone can take a boat ride and look at Madinat Jumeirah, which is also called Dubai Venice!

The easiest way to get to Madinat Jumeirah is by taxi, because... Walking from the metro is very inconvenient and hot.
From the metro the walk is about 45 minutes, the nearest metro First Gulf Bank

First, upon entering the territory, you find yourself in the market, - Souk. You go inside and find yourself in the labyrinths of an Arab market. A wide variety of goods are sold at the market. They mainly sell very expensive fur coats and precious jewelry! The demand is huge! As soon as you enter such a store, a Russian-speaking salesperson immediately approaches you and offers his help.

But the market is also full of all kinds of souvenirs and various antique shops. I can say that souvenirs are also not offered at the cheapest prices.

The market is quite confusing, you think you’ve left it on the street, but no, this is just a transition to another part of it. A real labyrinth!

There are many paths, doors, passages, and at first it is not entirely clear where to go.

There are restaurants here where you can not only eat delicious food, but also easily order alcohol! Alcohol is difficult in Dubai. But here everything is a little different. In the evening almost everything best places the restaurants are booked. Therefore, choose and book your place in advance.

After walking around the market, you come out to the canal, on one side (which is inaccessible to the public) there are individual villas, and a private beach. On the other side (where I walked) there were numerous restaurants and an Arab market. Arab boats float along the lagoon.

A ride on the Arba along the canals of Madinat Jumeirah costs 75 dirhams, or 700 Russian rubles. The walk lasts only 20 minutes. But she is very interesting! The group of people willing to ride is growing very quickly! You have to wait no more than a couple of minutes. For people staying at Madinat Jumeirah hotels, a walk on Arba and a visit to the nearby Wild Wadi water park are free.

Arba is an old Arabian boat. I wrote about her in a post about.

From the side of the water channel you can see something that cannot be seen on the shore. Everything looks very, very beautiful! Those who watched the old cartoon "Aladdin" by the Disney studio, I think, will understand what kind of view lies before their eyes. All architecture is like this. It’s as if that atmosphere is in the air! Sometimes it seems that if you rub a lamp in an antique shop, a genie will appear! Simply a magical place!

This place is called the Dubai Venice. As you can easily guess, they named it that way because of its similarity water channels with Italian Venice. I have not been to Italy. When I visit, I’ll be sure to compare.

The walk is really interesting! You float along the center of the canal under all kinds of bridges, on both sides of you the picture is constantly changing. This place is extraordinarily beautiful, truly Arabian tale!

There are a lot of trees everywhere!

From the side of the water canal, the famous hotel is visible "Sail" or Burj Al Arab.

Here it is amazing place in hot Dubai! I highly recommend everyone to visit Madinat Jumeirah.
This is a real Arabian fairy tale! Closer to Christmas, everyone decorates here and even puts up a Christmas tree!

Simply Paradise for designers. During the day you can endlessly look at every corner created by designer hands. The artificial lagoon “plays” with a turquoise tint in the sun, and the snow-white-blue Parus Hotel proudly flaunts against the blue sky. In the evening, dim lighting turns on, you can order a table with beautiful view and have a romantic dinner.

Part 2

In the first part of this note, I talked about what Dubai Venice is like.

Many readers will reasonably ask the main question - what next?

How can you get into this Dubai miracle?

And before answering this question, I must make one small lyrical digression on the topic of “beauty and advertising.”

Probably, readers could have seen a lot of TV shows about and about the modern area, read articles in glossy magazines and even some reviews on a few information (not to be confused with sales) sites.

Excursions to these attractions are also offered by many local guides.

But as for Dubai Venice, you won’t see any special advertising anywhere, even though this is the most (well, or one of the most) a nice place city of Dubai.

The explanation is very simple (but no one writes about it).

This is a water park. The best in the UAE (for example, I like it more than in , although there is also a dolphinarium there).

More thrifty tourists I advise you to get to the red line metro station, which is called Mall of the Emirates, and from there by taxi. It's inexpensive, literally 10 - 15 dirhams.

You can also save them if you get there by free bus, which runs from the Emirates Mall (but you need to know where this bus stops).

The bus will take you to the Jumeirah Beach hotel, then go to the Mina A Salam hotel, and stop at the water park approximately in the middle. Travel time is 10 minutes.

The water park opens at 10 am (closes at 6 pm from November to February, other months until 7 pm). Entry costs Dh295 for adults and Dh215 for children. Moreover, everyone up to 1.10 cm in height is considered a child.

If you wish, you can find cheaper tickets.

By the way, the water park will be interesting for adults too, for example, I have great pleasure in going down all sorts of slides, especially the cool “Kamikaze” slide, very cool, but you just have to hold your underpants with your hands, otherwise...

There will be enough time before lunch to rest.

Then leave the water park and take the Jumeirah bus (a special bus of the Jumeirah hotel complex) to the stylized market.

You can walk there (it’s not far), but in the Emirates it’s simply not customary to walk on the street. Hot! Although it only takes about 10 minutes to walk there at a leisurely pace.

I’ll say right away that Madinat Souk is basically souvenir shops, and even then...

The prices are not cheap, to put it mildly. Everything (well, or almost everything) can be bought in, which is better to visit in the evening.

But tourists who do not live in Madinat (or in Bourges, or in the Beach Hotel) cannot get to the canals other than through Madinat Souk.

And here I would like to make a small clarification.

The territory of Madinat can be accessed through hotels, and, villas and, there is no separate entrance to the territory of the complex.

Also on the territory they have Free access hotel guests and

Now, as for the rest of the guests of the Madinat Jumeirah resort.

There are exactly two options to see the territory of Dubai Venice.

The first is to book a table in one of the 44 restaurants in the complex.

I’ll say right away that there are no McDonald’s in Madinat. Set lunch, or rather lunch for buffet starts at AED 250.

For example, Friday brunch at Jumeirah Al Qasr costs AED 795 per person (Moet champagne brunch), AED 595 per person (includes champagne, cocktails, grape drinks, juices and soft drinks), AED 495 per person (includes soft drinks) and AED 250 per child (from four to twelve years old).

It is clear that for tourists vacationing in budget hotels, this is very expensive.

So, there are relatively inexpensive cafes where you can eat for a hundred dirhams (you can probably do it cheaper, but I haven’t tried it).

But if money is tight, then you can easily wait until the evening, since there is Carrefour in the Emirates Mall, where you can buy ready-made meals very cheaply. For example, fried chicken costs Dh10.

The second way to get to Dubai Venice is to buy an Abra boat tour.

And for some reason almost no one mentions this (cheapest) option to watch the Madinat channels by riding on a boat.

All the fun costs 75 dirhams for adults and 40 dirhams for children.

The excursion is only 20 minutes, but this is enough to see the entire resort, sailing along the main canals. At the same time, you can take a photo, although this is not very welcome.

Abra boat tour (no more than 10 people) departs every 20 minutes, starting at 10 am in winter and 11 am in summer.

Actually, this service provides transportation within the resort for guests staying at the hotel (free of charge, of course). There are several stations along the canals - at all hotels, some restaurants and near the islands on which the villas are located.

But there are also tours that I mentioned for resort guests staying in other hotels.

So, abra tours begin for guests from only one place, which can only be accessed from Madinat Souk. Finding this exit is not difficult as there are signs everywhere.

Find the Abra Station arrow, go outside and go down the stairs straight to the pier. You buy your ticket there too.

February 22, 2014 In this article we will talk about one of the most prestigious resort complexes the most expensive Dubai area of Jumeirah - Madinat Jumeirah...

Madinat Jumeirah Resort is located along Jumeirah Beach between " business card" - the Burj Al Arab hotel (500 meters to the left of it) and no less famous artificial island Palm Jumeirah.

Thanks to a single competent layout, numerous canals, the banks of which are lined with exclusive low-rise buildings and villas, and gorgeous gardens, this area looks truly luxurious compared to the rest of high-rise Dubai.

On the territory of Madinat Jumeirah there are three exclusive hotels (Al Qasr, Mina A' Salam, Dar Al Masyaf), numerous Arabic-style villas, more than 40 world-class restaurants and bars, 5 tennis courts, a fitness center, a luxurious Spa center, a colorful traditional Arabic market Souk Madinat, Madinat theater and conference center.

Also, only resort guests have access to a separate 2-kilometer stretch of beach, and, of course, magnificent canals that envelop the resort area in a web, along which traditional abra boats float. It is thanks to them that Madinat Jumeirah is called the Venice of Dubai.

By the way, resort guests have free access to the nearby Wild Wadi water park. Of course, considering the local “cosmic” prices for accommodation, this is of course a trifle, but still pleasant, especially for families with children.

As mentioned above, you'll be spoiled for choice with over 40 world-class restaurants, lounges and bars, each boasting a unique location, décor and atmosphere. Regardless of whether you prefer, for example, excellent Thai cuisine or want to while away the evening in the bar with a glass of a delicious cocktail, the Madinat Jumeirah resort will undoubtedly have something to please and surprise you with.

The Bahri Bar, whose name translates to “sea views,” offers guests spectacular views of the resort's winding waterways, the iconic Burj Al Arab hotel and the Arabian Gulf itself.

Start your evening off with tempting mezes at this chic Arabian-style bar. Watching the sun slowly set below the horizon, you can gain strength before a noisy and fun evening. As soon as the sun goes down, the bar will be filled with the sounds of soul and jazz.

You might think that this is just a small and unremarkable courtyard near the Souk Madinat Arab market, where you can relax on a hot day. However, once you cross the threshold of this cafe, you will quickly realize that you were mistaken. Cafe A’ Rukn is a true cultural attraction, giving guests a unique opportunity to touch Arab culture and feel like a piece of history.

Here you can treat yourself to delicious meze or seafood, try world-famous Arabic sweets, cakes and pastries, and also enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. Having made yourself comfortable, here you can watch the bustling life reigning in the Arab market and reflect on the eternal while enjoying an oriental hookah.

The main pearl of Madinat Jumeirah is the Al Qasr Hotel, whose name translates from Arabic as “palace”. Its design is in the style of luxury summer residences Sheikha reflects traditional Arabic architecture, seamlessly combined with modern luxury. The main entrance to the hotel is a wide alley, which is decorated with tall palm trees and elegant gilded sculptures of beautiful Arabian horses. The complex itself cannot but amaze with its splendor. Built in the spirit of ancient Arabian architecture, Al Qasr is a true oasis of luxury for guests who prefer beach holiday in a rich and comfortable environment.

In Dubai, near the Burj Al Arab hotel, there is even its own “Venice” - Madinat Jumeirah - this is a fashionable complex of hotels, between which about 3 km of artificial canals are dug. Just like in Venice, you can take a boat ride here, only in the national abre. Or you can just sit in the shade of palm trees on the shore in a cozy restaurant or walk along the narrow streets local market-Souk Madinat.

2. We were in Dubai during the World government summit, which was held at the Madinat Jumeirah complex. I don’t know who was there from Russia, but our flags were hanging. Registration area.

3. But we are not going to the summit, we bypass the registration area and go to the market.

4.Entry group

5. The market, of course, was built recently, but it is antique. Stranded streets.

6. Cafe in an Arabian oasis. During the day you can easily grab a table, but in the evening it will be problematic - everything will be booked!

7. Inner courtyard of the market-cafe under open air and souvenir shops.

8. And here is “Venice” itself. The hotel complex is huge, but everything beyond this canal is a private area of hotels, villas with a long line sea coast. The free walking zone is approximately 1/5 of the territory.

9. We remember that all this is in the desert and we never cease to be amazed!

10. Abra has clearly left the agricultural park and is following the passengers to the station.

Going to the Emirates, we were a little worried about understanding the Arabic language, script is complex and you can’t figure it out so easily, but our worries were in vain, since everything is dubbed in English language, basically everything, and the only place that confused us was...

11. Abra Station. Here at the cash registers there was information without translation, exclusively in Arabic, moreover, there was not even a price list.

To find out the cost of the trip, it was necessary to stand in line at the ticket office - it was a long time, so I came up with a quicker way and went to the line of foreigners with tickets waiting to board the abra. The cost of the Dubai Venice cruise was 85 dirhams/1,360 rubles. in 25 minutes. Almost like a counter: 1 second - 1 ruble.

On the one hand, it’s incredibly cool, but on the other hand, it’s expensive and we have a big program, we didn’t swim, maybe next time...

12 The luxurious Burj Al Arab is one of my favorite buildings! Once upon a time, it was from him that my dream of visiting Dubai began!

The special atmosphere here will not leave anyone indifferent, especially in the evening, at dusk, when the quiet streets of the “Arab Venice” are illuminated by the warm light of lanterns. But at that time we were already on the Jumeirah Palm :)
