What are the beaches in Eilat. Eilat: beaches, weather, holidays, reviews. Greatness of local nature

It must be said right away that Eilat became so popular all over the world precisely thanks to the coast of the Red Sea. The northern coral reef with a great many inhabitants attracts hundreds of thousands of tourists every year. Multi-colored coral reefs stretch along the coast. And near the coral - a myriad of fish of bizarre shapes and unimaginably bright colors. It is believed that it is here that the most favorable conditions for diving in the Northern Hemisphere. But it is quite possible to swim without scuba gear with the most common mask - the reef is located on the very shore. But the main condition is to fulfill the motto that everyone in our country knows: “Take care of nature - your mother!” - that is, do not touch anything that you want to be sure to touch. And not only due to the fact that the reef, thanks to tourists breaking out pieces into a “good and bright memory”, is being destroyed at a catastrophic pace. And because there is too much poisonous in the Red Sea, and such that from touching it can cause big health problems.

So, if someone wants to dive for pleasure, then the Mediterranean coast of Eilat is just that.

But for fans just to sunbathe and soak up the hot sun there is no less place. The fact is that these beaches are stretched over 12 kilometers, divided into northern and southern parts.

The southernmost beach "Princess Eilat", which is located in the southernmost point of Israel, from it the zone of southern beaches stretches to Kisuski Sport beach. This area is also called coral beach.

The most popular of them is Migdalor Beach - very cozy, with free chairs and sunbeds. The reef in this place is located very close to the shore, the bottom is rocky, so the water remains clean at any time. There is a very good bar right on the beach. But we must warn that in those places where the coral reef is very close to the shore, it is better to enter the water in slippers - bare feet can even be injured very easily.

Money, money, rubbish

By the way, about the costs. Absolutely all the beaches of Eilat are completely free, you will have to pay only if you need a sunbed or deck chair (although in some places of Migdalor beach they will be free), you will have to pay a very small amount (about 15-20) shekels for their rental. And you can own it at least all day, before the beach is considered closed, that is, hours until five in the evening. Then you have to cross on a towel.

Beaches of the North of Eilat

By the way, if at Coral Beach this is rather inconvenient, but in the part called the northern beach, it will not bring much discomfort, since the beaches there are pebble and sandy beaches.

The northern beach, ending on the border with Jordan, is an ideal place for sunbathing, water activities and swimming in the sea. The water temperature of the bay here is usually 20 ° -26С, and the air temperature even in winter is not lower than 20 ° С. On this site are the beaches of numerous hotels. But they, like all other beaches of the city are free and open to anyone.

Here the tourist infrastructure is superbly developed, you can get any entertainment inherent in the sea resort: many bars and restaurants, discos, night clubs and beach parties. And if you want to see something other than the beaches themselves, you can go to the Dolphin Reef - the natural habitat of dolphins, in the Coral World Aquarium. And you can even go on a trip through the desert, and you choose the transport of your choice: mountain bikes, quads, jeeps or camels.

And finally, one more nice detail. Eilat is a free trade area, so the prices are lower, and many Israeli companies offer cosmetics, fashionable clothes, jewelry and souvenirs made of Eilat stone.

Which beach is better to choose in Eilat? Everything! One of the main advantages of Eilat is 12 km of beautiful beaches. All of them are civil: there are sun loungers, umbrellas and, as a rule, at least one cafe in sight. The resort is divided into two parts - North Coast and Coral Beach. There are sandy and pebble beaches on the North Bank, but the name of the second part speaks for itself.

Migdalor Beach

Migdalor Beach is especially popular among tourists. It is very cozy, there are free chairs and deck chairs. The picturesque coral reef comes close to the shore, the bottom is rocky, so the water is always very clear. There is a nice bar on the beach.

Dekel Beach

Another beach worth paying attention to is called Deckel. It is private, very well maintained. It is here that various beach parties, festivals, concerts, discos, weddings are often held, as the territory is quite large and can accommodate a lot of people. During the day, massage therapists work here.

Royal Beach Hotel Beach

Almost every hotel has its own beach. Of course, luxury hotels are located in the first row of the coastline. One of them is the beach of the Royal Beach Hotel. He is very well maintained and clean. There are comfortable sun loungers, chairs and pillows, and the waiters offer refreshments.

Shmurat Almogim Beach

Fans of diving have chosen Shmurat-Almogim beach. Here tourists can rent scuba gear, motor boats and boats. An unforgettable journey into the underwater expanses of the Red Sea is helped by experienced instructors.

Hof Hashmesh Beach

On the wild beach of Hof a-shemesh you can completely surrender to nature. It is not crowded, it is not a sandy, but a stone-pebble spit, there are no deck chairs and umbrellas. But just such naturalness and silence give this place a special charm. The beach will appeal to those who want to retire. Often here you can see fishermen, as well as lovers of cooking something on the grill. Despite the fact that the beach is wild, it has showers and a kiosk with drinks. Another feature of this beach is that it is divided by a fence in two: for vacationers and believers. Here you can see tents and car trailers. Mostly during the Israeli holidays, when locals come here to relax.

So that you have only good memories of this place, it is important to remember a few rules. On the beaches of Eilat, you should go into the water in places designated by ropes with floats, be sure to look under your feet, do not touch corals and fish, do not go into the water at night.

There is only one “address” for all beaches - the Gulf of Aqaba of the Red Sea coast, with a land length of 12 km. However, the variety of beaches is such that everyone will find for themselves the "most - the most." Local divide the coast into 2 zones: northern beaches or pebble-sandy and southern - coral. On all beaches, the depth begins almost immediately, the water is very clean and transparent, through which the sea world is visible. There are no temperature differences, and there is nothing to worry about marine life.

The entire tourist area is located on the north coast, there are no corals and few fish. Some first-line hotels have their own civilized beach, but they are few.

Dear tourists. Book excursions with my participation, a great time, I guarantee !!! I tell a lot, interestingly, and in human language :)

Beaches to visit

For completeness, it is advisable to visit 3 beaches.

Migdalor  - the place where corals are best viewed. It is advisable to bring aqua-shoes or slippers for coral. The bottom of the beach is rocky, sea urchins live, and without slippers you can’t get closer to the coral thickets. There are free umbrellas on the shore and a bar that does not work on weekends. There is a shower, toilet, changing rooms, you can rent a trailer.

Entering the sea is permitted only in places marked with ropes. You can’t take a piece of coral - fine. Easy to get from the center of Eilat by bus 15 or taxi.

Dolphin reef- Tamed dolphins live in their midst. Divided into 2 zones: for people and dolphins. You can swim in the "human" zone, and look at the dolphins - from the pier from three viewing platforms. For a fee, you can try diving with dolphins.

For an additional fee there are 3 pools surrounded by greenery - with fresh, sweet or salty water. Peacocks walk along the shore, there is an excellent self-service restaurant.

How to get there: from Eilat, buses 15 and 16, from Ovda airport - 282 or by taxi. It’s better to come in the morning to take a seat.

Hof Hashmesh  - for fans of "wild" rest. This is a place of solitude with nature. On weekdays there are few people; locals come here on holidays. Of the benefits of civilization, there is a kiosk with drinks and a shower, but you can fry it on the grill and put up a tent. Locals sometimes fish here. Under the feet - sand and pebbles, around primeval silence.
Part of the beach is separated by a fence - for believers. You can only get by car or taxi.

Israelis are kind to their homeland and take care of nature. On all beaches except the wild, you can not touch the hands of fish and corals to save them for future generations. You cannot enter the water after sunset.

The main advantage of the only southern resort city on the Red Sea is the beaches of Eilat. In a city where it is warm and sunny almost all year round, beach vacations are the main occupation of tourists.

Eilat and Aqaba are located in the north of the Eilat (Gulf of Aqaba), connecting through the Tirana Strait with the Red Sea. The great depth, the absence of flowing rivers and the almost constant temperature of the water created favorable conditions for the development of the underwater world, and the clear water and the absence of large waves made the coast of the bay popular among diving enthusiasts and just tourists.

The weather in Eilat allows you to sunbathe and swim from mid-March to the end of November. When Moscow ends November, it’s damp, windy and the air temperature is about zero, in Eilat it’s dry, warm and there are no more tourists on the beaches.

Red Sea Beach in Eilat

The beaches of Eilat are about twelve kilometers of the coastal strip of the Red Sea. As you can see on the map, the bay has a curved shape. Northern beaches stretch from the border with Jordan to the Mall Ha Yam shopping center. Further, the coastline almost at right angles goes towards Egypt. These are western beaches. They are often called coral.

Most of the hotels in the city, which formed the so-called tourist zone, are located on the north coast. For convenience and safety, the northern beaches of Eilat and the seabed are covered with sand. There are no corals in the water, and fish rarely swim here. Therefore, you do not need a mask and tube. But close to the hotel and safe for children. There are umbrellas, sunbeds and chairs, a shower, life-saving towers on the shore. Nearby are cafes, restaurants, shops and agencies offering water activities.

What are the beaches in Eilat.

We start from the place where the border of Israel and Jordan on the Red Sea passes and we will move towards the city.

Mifratz Shemesh Beach. This place is held in high esteem by the Israelites. Even in high season, near this beach you can find a place for cars and tents. The beach is not well maintained. Sun beds are not there, but there are fungi that create shade, showers and places for cooking meat on fire. A plot is visible from afar, enclosed by a solid wooden fence. This is a resting place for believers. The plot is divided by a solid fence and in the middle. One entrance for men, the second for women.

At Herods, a curved pier leaves the sea. Tourists, residents of Eilat and cats, whose best friends catch fish directly from the pier stones, walk along it. In the evening from this place it is interesting to watch how the lights are lit in Eilat and on the opposite bank in Aqaba.

They are not much different from each other. Unless Hilton has a drawbridge over the sea entrance to the lagoon, a marina with yachts, attractions, restaurants and bars. This is a crowded place, but you will not be bored here. You can book a yacht trip, ride a carousel or fly up to the sky in a Fire Ball capsule.

From the shopping center and to the beach of the Meridian Hotel there is another comfortable beach Kisuski Sport.

At this point, Eilat ends and only one road leads to the Taba border crossing point, the Princess Hotel. On it, by bus number 15 or taxi you can get to the place you need.

The first beach outside the city is Hof Hashmal. In Hebrew, Hof is the beach, Hashmal is electricity. Beach company network.

Most coral beaches, although not equipped, are popular with residents, and not tourists. After all, having a car, it’s easy to get there, bring folding chairs, put up a tent or pull up an awning, create minimal comfort. An example is Migdal - Or beach. In Hebrew, Migdal is a tower, and Ohr is light. Lighthouse.

If you find yourself on such a beach, under your feet you will have pebbles and stones. It is necessary to enter the water carefully and only in those places where the passage between the corals is indicated by ropes with floats. Otherwise, it is easy to get hurt or get a fine. Do not feed the fish, do not take with you even the smallest, even found on the shore, coral. Do not touch coral and fish in water. Do not enter the water after sunset.

Wearing a mask and snorkel, you can long watch the life of the underwater inhabitants of the Red Sea. You don’t have to look for them for a long time - corals and fish are everywhere.

This beauty can also be seen in the Underwater Observatory, one of the attractions of Eilat.

Dolphin Reef beach is sandy, clean, without corals, without sunbeds, with plastic chairs and umbrellas by the water. You can wander through tropical thickets, watch peacocks or see how dolphins are fed.

Another of the few well-maintained sandy beaches of Eilat on the west coast of the bay is Dekel. The entrance is free.

The favorite place for young people is Beach Village. Near it there is a cafe, a diving center, several shops and four hotels.

A very good, comfortable and original place is the beach of the Princess Hotel. Nesyha in Hebrew. On this beach, they enter the water not from the shore, but from two long piers. Thus, going down the stairs into the water, you immediately find yourself surrounded by fish and corals.

Eilat Beaches Migdal Or

For lovers of watching the underwater life of the Red Sea, the Coral Reef Reserve will be of most interest. It is located a hundred meters north of the Underwater Observatory. Entrance is paid, 35 shekels. The beach is comfortable, you can use sunbeds and chairs, there is a shop, showers, a toilet. Across the street is a small supermarket.

Part of the coral reef is fenced in water by a net. Another part is available for those wishing to enjoy corals and fish scurrying around them.

The beaches of Eilat is the main reason why a tourist seeks to this sunny resort city. Many book a hotel on the first line with their own beach, but this is not always necessary. For example, the Royal Garden Hotel is on the second line, but it is only 5 minutes to go from it to the sea. In addition, if you are with children, then this hotel will be the best choice for you.

In the tourist area, beaches are equipped for families - there are no corals in the water and few fish. All the wealth of the underwater world can be seen on the west beach. In addition, it is on the western side of the bay that there are several attractions.

In 2017, the KACA oil company transferred part of the coastline to the municipality. Previously, this part of the coast was fenced and not used for the needs of tourists. Now here is a nice beach with a coral reef which people have never come close to before. There is a new beach right behind the Dolphinarium.

Many tourists come to Israel, guided by some kind of emotional outburst, or simply focusing on their religious beliefs. Of course, there is something to see here - Israel is full of monuments of history, culture and architecture of various times. However, interest in history is not the only thing that can lead a tourist to Israel. The beaches of Eilat can serve as good motivation to visit this country, as well as historical monuments.

It is noteworthy that booking tours to Israel is not too expensive, although there is as much to see there as in Turkey or the United Arab Emirates.

Greatness of local nature

Eilat owes its popularity to the proximity of the Red Sea coast. Tourists especially like to admire the North Coral Reef, which is home to a huge variety of different inhabitants. Such reefs stretch along the coast and uniquely adorn the local landscape. Near the corals, you can see tiny colorful fish that startled scary under the eyes of curious tourists. The beautiful sea bottom and the abundance of inhabitants make this place ideal for diving enthusiasts, but you can simply snorkel. The main thing is to remain a passive observer and not interfere in the life of nature, so as not to damage it. The point is not only in the preservation of nature, but also in the fact that any bright reef or other creature can be almost deadly poisonous to humans.

The variety of beaches in Eilat

The best sandy beaches of Eilat are available almost all year round. They are divided into northern and southern, however, the division is more arbitrary. The southernmost beach is called "Princess Eilat", and this area is also often called a coral beach. This name was given to her not by chance - the thickets of coral reefs here are very impressive, but the sea bottom for swimming is conveniently cleared.

The most popular beach is Miglador. It is very comfortable and equipped with free sunbeds and chairs. The bottom is rocky, but because of this, the water here remains clear all the time, even with a noticeable wind. There is a very good bar on the beach, where vacationers can always take refuge from too much heat. In areas where coral reefs are too close to the shore, it is advisable to walk in shoes so as not to damage the feet.
  The beaches of Eilat start from the southernmost point of Israel. The Taba border with Egypt is located here, and the local beach is called the Princess. Tourists prefer not to rest here, but to choose places more distant from the border.

The following beaches are also in great demand:

  1. Club Honey;
  2. "Village";
  3. Barbic;
  4. "Palm";
  5. Dolphin Reef;
  6. Almog and many others.
