In Egypt, you can soak up the warm sunshine when blizzards are sweeping in Kiev, Lviv and Odessa. Indeed, in the Red Sea it is pleasant to swim in November and December.

Many travelers underestimate this amazing, distinctive country. Holidays in Egypt are not only pyramids, all inclusive and bronze tans. The country will surprise lovers of antiquity, give vivid impressions to fans of outdoor activities, romantic couples and families with children.

Last-minute tours to Egypt from Kiev

For 8 months of 2017, 600 thousand Ukrainians rested in Egypt. In comparison with these figures, the state statistics for 2018 looks underestimated: it claims that almost 15 thousand Ukrainians visited Egypt last year. A hot African country is popular among residents of Ukraine, so travel agencies pre-book places in hotels and planes, hoping to sell tours to Egypt from Kiev.

If several places remain unsold, last minute offers that are popular with tourists appear. You can choose a tour at cost or even cheaper. Choose a last-minute package to Egypt from Kiev or other Ukrainian cities, and you will save on vacation without denying yourself the pleasures and comfort.

Holidays in Egypt

There are at least 7 reasons why you should choose a tour to Egypt:

  • The usual time zone. Local time coincides with Kiev, so there are no Jetlegs and confusion in time zones.
  • Lack of language barrier. Ukrainians often relax in Egypt, so the locals have become accustomed, if not with Ukrainian, then at least with the Russian language. It’s easy to explain, even if you don’t know a word in English.
  • Red sea. The cleanest and most salty sea in the world, if you do not take into account the Dead. Not a single river flows into the Red Sea, so there is no silt in it. Swimming in clean waves is a pleasure.
  • Pyramids and tombs of the pharaohs. As well as pagan temples, mosques and Christian churches. In addition to the pyramids in Giza, there is still something to see.
  • Fresh juices and fruits. They can be bought on the street, in the market, ordered in a bar, restaurant. There is an abundance of tasty, healthy and cheap treats for children and adults.
  • The sun. He is so lacking in the cold months in Ukraine. Although in Egypt the days are shortened in the fall, too, in the daytime the sky is clear and cloudless, and the sun is warm and gentle.
  • Short flight and visa-free travel. On the plane you have to spend only 3-4 hours. You do not need to open a visa - just a passport.

Major resorts

Hurghada (Hurghada)

Hurghada is the most famous resort of the Egyptian Red Sea coast. If you come for a family beach vacation, besides with a child, Hurghada is an excellent choice. Most of the beaches here are sandy, the entrance to the water is gentle, there is no coral bottom.

The resort is convenient in terms of logistics: if you want to visit most iconic places during your trip to Egypt, you can easily reach Cairo from Hurghada with its pyramids of Giza, Luxor or Alexandria on the Mediterranean coast.

Sahl Hasheesh

Translated from Arabic, the name of the resort means "green valley." Sahl Hasheesh is a great place for a relaxing beach holiday, it is famous for its clean beaches. There are few hotels here, but the town is quickly being built up. You can get here without any problems: Hurghada Airport is only 18 km away.

Makadi Bay

This quiet town is located between Hurghada and Safaga, just 20 kilometers from the airport. For lovers of peace and quiet, Makadi Bay is the best choice. There is no tourist flea market typical of Egypt, only Islamic peace. The desert begins right behind the hotel grounds, so for entertainment you have to go to Hurghada.

Soma Bay

Soma Bay is located on the Soma Peninsula, fifty kilometers south of Hurghada. It is a picturesque sea bay surrounded by mountains and desert. The resort is quite young, and therefore doubly interesting. If you are keen on diving, you will find unusual places to dive and numerous coral reefs.

From Soma Bay you can easily get to Alexandria, Cairo or Luxor. Tourists are offered organized excursions. However, you can slightly diversify the set of attractions by visiting the Roman quarries located nearby. In them the Romans mined precious marble.

Safaga

Safaga is a port city 60 km from Hurghada, a real Mecca for fans of windsurfing and kitesurfing. However, if you plan to go diving, you will also like this resort.

The differences in depth here cannot be called smooth, so Safaga is not the best place for a vacation with children, but it is a great choice when you need to improve your health. Local sand has the ability to heal the skin and joints.

Marsa Alam

There are few hotels in Marsa Alam, but locals are trying to improve the situation. This place is worth choosing for diving fans who dream of admiring unique coral reefs, as well as underwater inhabitants: dolphins, manta rays, sharks.

El Gouna

The young resort, designed by the creator of Disneyland, so it has something of an attraction. El Gouna is a network of islands interconnected by bridges, the main form of transport here is a motor boat.
El Gouna is a year-round resort. Therefore, it is pleasant to relax in Egypt in the winter months.

Sharm El Sheikh

Sharm El Sheikh is one of the best resorts in the Sinai Peninsula. It attracts with a hot climate, developed infrastructure and a variety of entertainment: there are entertainments for every taste. This is a great place for diving, not without reason it was chosen by the legendary explorer of the World Ocean Jacques Cousteau. However, the prices in Sharm el-Sheikh are higher than in Hurghada, but the service here is European.

Nuweiba

Nuweiba is another comfortable resort in the Sinai Peninsula. It is located near Israel and the ferry to Jordan, so by choosing it as your main destination, you can go to admire another exotic country. Nuweiba is two hundred kilometers from Sharm El Sheikh.

Video about Egypt

Geographical Information

Egypt lies in northeast Africa, it borders with Libya and Sudan. In the North this country is washed by the waves of the Mediterranean Sea, in the East - Red. One of the attractions of Egypt is the Suez Canal, connecting the waters of the Mediterranean and Red Seas. This is one of the largest and most significant artificial canals in the world, allowing you to get from the Atlantic Ocean to the Indian Ocean without enveloping the entire African continent.

The recognized pearl of Egypt is the Nile River. It is considered the longest on the planet, however, the Amazon disputes this title with the Nile. The river passes through the Sahara and carries its waters to the Mediterranean Sea. However, while admiring the Nile, be careful: there are many crocodiles and snakes in it.

Egypt on the map

Climate and seasonality

Egypt has a tropical desert climate. Hot summer. And if you never had to feel the temperature of +50 in the shade, Egypt can give such an unforgettable experience. However, with the onset of the evening, it even gets cooler even in summer: the temperature drops day and night are significant. Throughout the year, the weather does not change much, and the closer to the seashore, the more stable the climate.

In winter, in Egypt + 20 ... 25 degrees Celsius, for the locals it is cold. At night, the temperature can drop to +10 degrees, and even weak frosts occur in the desert.

One of the features of local weather strong winds. The continuous wind from the Red Sea refreshes, but does not weaken the power of ultraviolet rays, so be sure to bring Sanskrin with you. In the spring, a hot wind blows from the desert, there are even sandstorms.

The best time to travel to Egypt is fall-spring. In the summer it is very hot, and in the winter months the wind spoils the pleasure of swimming.

Weather in Egypt for months

The weather depends on the city: Sharm el Sheikh is slightly hotter than Hurghada, and Safaga is hotter than Cairo. The average values \u200b\u200bare shown in the table:

Time

Egypt is in the same time zone as Ukraine, so there is no need to translate the clock. Daylight saving time is here on the last Thursday of April, and winter time on the last Thursday of September.

Tongue

The official language of Egypt is Arabic. Its literary and colloquial form differ significantly due to the dialecticisms with which the Egyptians generously flavored their speech. Arabic is one of the most difficult to learn languages. Therefore, you can use English: the Egyptians study it at school and most often can explain at least on issues of prices, transport and directions.

Due to the fact that tourism in Egypt is booming, service workers speak good English or Russian. The older generation of Egyptians knows Russian well. In addition, natives of the former Soviet republics often work in the tourism sector in this country. Therefore, communication problems will not arise, even if you do not know any language other than Ukrainian or Russian.

Currency

The official currency is the Egyptian pound. The name of the local coins will appeal to Stevenson's readers: these are piastres. In one pound - 100 piastres. Read the price tags carefully: prices can be indicated in piastres even when it is logical to write in pounds. The Egyptians can easily indicate "550 piastres" instead of "5.5 pounds." However, the price can also be quoted in dollars.

100 Egyptian pounds is approximately 151-152 hryvnias. 1 pound is equal to approximately 1.54 hryvnia, but it is better to check the rate before departure.

There are several ways to exchange cash. You can even convert hryvnias into dollars at home, and then, upon arrival, exchange them in a bank or exchange office. They are at airports and hotels.

But you can use Visa or Mastercard. With their help, you can cash out funds in ATMs in the right currency at once, and in some places you can pay by bank transfer. Just do not forget to warn the bank about the trip so that your card is not blocked after the first payment from abroad.

Transport

  • All major cities of Egypt are connected by rail , but you should buy a train ticket only if the trip is distant, across the country. The bus will cost less, besides it will be faster and more comfortable.
  • You can take a taxi for short distances.   Be careful because taxis with a meter are the exception rather than the rule. You need to negotiate the price verbally, and the driver will try to break the price. Minibuses and city buses have a fixed fee, but all information about the route and stops is only in Arabic. This can be uncomfortable and sometimes unsafe.
  • Domestic flights will cost the most.   Local airlines are well developed, but if you can fly cheaply inside Turkey, the cost of domestic flights in Egypt is high. In addition, prices are higher for foreigners than for the Egyptians themselves. On the other hand, if you buy a romantic tour for two to Egypt or a last-minute ticket, our travel agency will take care of all internal transfers.
  • If you plan to rent a car, think twice.   The traffic on the Egyptian roads is chaotic, with unaccustomed travel in the city turns into a nightmare. Traffic jams in large cities can drag on for several hours. If you still decide to rent, be sure to check the availability of insurance and its conditions, because many rental points do not insure their cars, and all expenses for small and large repairs are borne by you.
  • Be sure to take out medical insurance before your trip., Especially if you are planning a vacation with children in Egypt. Without insurance, customs will miss you, but treating food poisoning, sunstroke, or other troubles will be very expensive. Therefore, worry about the medical issue in advance.
  • Take sunscreenwhenever you go to rest. Do not forget antihistamines, activated charcoal, painkillers. All of them must be in their original packaging so as not to raise questions when passing through customs.
  • Do not drink tap water,  buy bottled or use coolers.
  • Wash vegetables and fruits thoroughly before eating.so you don’t have to use health insurance.
  • Make photocopies of passports and other documents.  So, if you lose them or steal them, documents will be easier to recover.
  • When visiting temples and monasteries, women should close their arms and shoulders., in shorts also on the territory of the shrines of ladies will not be allowed.
  • When swimming in the Red Sea, in no case do not touch the fish  and other animals with hands. It can be poisonous.
  • Do not tear corals, do not buy souvenirs with them  - It is forbidden to export them from the country, and fines are high.
  • Before using any service outside the hotel, specify the price. Never make concessions if they try to change it retroactively.
  • Outside the hotel and major chain stores bargain safelyknocking down the price 2-3 times.

Do not even think to swim in the Nile. Firstly, it is muddy and polluted. Secondly, every year the Nile crocodiles are eaten by careless tourists who did not heed this advice.

Have a nice rest and vivid impressions!

List of interesting places to spend your time!

So that neither you nor your children get bored for a minute on vacation, we have prepared for you a list of interesting places for the best pastime!

Dolphinarium in Hurghada. Dolphins are very successful at the resort: dozens of visitors come every day to see how these cute animals jump through hoops and play volleyball. With water artists you can take a picture or even jump to them in the pool and splash a little. Dolphins are not only pleasant emotions - it has long been known that they give healing energy and relieve stress.

Giza Zoo in Cairo. Well, which of the children does not like to consider animals? Especially the ones they’ve never seen before! In Giza, the southwestern suburb of Cairo, is one of the oldest in the world (was founded in 1890) and one of the largest zoos in Egypt. Here is a rich collection of desert animals, including those that are threatened with extinction. Fortunately, in the warm and dry climate of the city, they feel great all year round and lend themselves to breeding. There are also an elephant, a serpentarium, a lion cub, a monkey and even a museum. For a small fee, visitors are allowed to feed animals, but only with food prepared by ministers.

Cairo Museum.  If you are interested in dried mummies - you are here. And the children from this museum will certainly be delighted - after all, this is not a study of boring obscure paintings, but a whole real time travel! Mummies are the main exhibits of the museum, in addition to 136 thousand other things presented there. Almost everything on display is the result of the work of archaeologists around the world, ruined by Egyptian museum workers. The exhibits are covered in dust, poorly signed, arranged inconveniently, and, at times, it seems as if they were all piled up without any logic. But there are so many of them that mummies will be able to "get enough" for many years to come.

Children's cultural park.It is one of the largest museums for children in Africa. The exposition is mainly devoted to the history, culture, life and traditions of Egypt. It is designed primarily for small Egyptians, but other children may well like it. There are halls dedicated to the Pharaohs, the Nile, deserts, the Red Sea and other topics. The museum has a theater, a cinema, a library complex, art studios, playgrounds and fountains. The museum is surrounded by a park with a large collection of diverse plants and trees. In it you can watch the life of insects, butterflies and birds. In Egypt, it will be fun for both adults and children!

The science

The most amazing discoveries were here!

Egypt opens up new faces for you every time! Yes, and how could it be otherwise with a country whose history spans thousands of years, and whose heritage and secrets are still with great interest studying the greatest scientists of the world! From the documents found during the excavation, it is known that the ancient Egyptians made a number of significant inventions, which we still use in a more perfect form. The world owes the invention of paper to the ancient Egyptians, who, already in 3000 BC, developed a technique for making paper from the papyrus plant. They also came up with the most commonly used black ink. To do this, they mixed soot with vegetable oils and beeswax.

The ancient Egyptians were the first to create a solar calendar, sundials and water clocks! And also - pyramids, wigs, eye makeup, high heels, the first surgical instruments, and much, much more! Egypt today will captivate with its incredible architecture, breathtaking traditions, special atmosphere, luxurious collections in museums, delicious and varied food and the ability to relax beautifully! There is everything for relaxation here - the Red Sea, which is famous for its picturesque flora and fauna. Endless beaches, huge bazaars with various souvenirs and gifts, interesting excursions - you want to return to Egypt again and again!

Shopping

About souvenirs and local art

If we talk about souvenirs and local art, then you should start with papyrus. In order not to lose the right choice, follow two simple rules. The first - a real papyrus, unlike a banana, does not break. It folds easily and bends without damage. And the second - on the back should be a stamp or signature of the artist, confirming its authenticity. Another common souvenir is numerous figurines depicting the pharaohs, their wives, gods, as well as cats and sacred scarab beetles sacred to the Egyptians. They can be made from basalt, onyx, bronze and gypsum. The price depends on the material.

Cartouche - oval or rectangular medallions on which the name of the pharaoh was engraved. This will be, perhaps, the most original gift, because it will turn into a talisman if you ask in any jewelry store to engrave with an intricate Arabic script name - your own or the one to whom the souvenir is intended.

The Egyptians make very high quality porcelain. It is easy to distinguish: the name of the factory is written on the bottom of the script, as well as “Made in Egypt”. And the surest sign is that it is transparent to light and light. Egyptian crystal is gaining more and more popularity. Like the famous Swarovski crystals, it contains 30% lead, but it costs 2-3 times cheaper. Showcases with all kinds of Four jewelery sparkle so that it’s impossible to pass by! Cotton and silk products are well-deserved success: T-shirts, pareos, stoles, shawls and beach sets of breathtaking colors. Incredibly beautiful national clothes, especially with hand embroidery. Aromatic oils dizzy not only with their smells, but also with the look of the amazingly delicate multi-colored handmade glass jugs into which they are poured. Some of them not only have a pleasant aroma, but also relieve headaches, lower blood pressure and improve blood circulation. Bags with spices and hibiscus are an indispensable attribute of many shops. And also baskets with strange dried bunches - amazing plants called "Kaf Maryam" (translated as "Mary's hand").

If you lower this unsightly glomerulus of lifeless branches into clean water, then just a couple of days later it will open and bloom with small blue flowers. They say he brings good luck. Egyptian gold is also popular. It is famous for its high quality and has a noble light shade. You can also find many silver items made in oriental motifs. And, of course, Arabian hookahs are out of competition. There are many of them: large, smaller, metal, glass, with stones and patterns - for every taste and budget. And in addition, buy a couple of boxes of fragrant tobacco, if the owner of the shop does not give them to you. And for a snack - oriental sweets that do not need to be introduced! They are bought as a gift, and for yourself. After all, oriental sweets are an amazing world surrounded by legends and secrets for many centuries. They make it possible to feel the taste of honey, the smell of oriental flowers, nuts, a unique taste range that is incomparable with anything.

Diving

Here you will discover a new beautiful world!

In the underwater world, time flows in its own way. Perhaps the motley inhabitants of the coral reefs also have their own seasons, but this does not affect their beauty and quantity. Therefore, all fans of diving and snorkeling, the Red Sea at any time of the year will appreciate the diversity of the underwater world. There are many places where you can go diving, but about one of them we will talk in more detail:

Marsa Alam - once a "fishing village", and now a young, but very promising resort, on the southern coast of the Red Sea, 240 km from Hurghada. First of all, this region is becoming increasingly popular due to the unique beauty of coral reefs, which are spread under the emerald expanse of water. In addition, corals here are located near the coast and at low tide become visible above the sea surface. In the crystal clear waters of the Red Sea, a rich underwater flora and fauna leads its stormy life. That is why many professional divers prefer the local reefs. Moreover, diving here is easy and suitable for all levels of training. The main local underwater attraction can be called a huge horseshoe-shaped reef Shaab-Samadai or "Dolphin House". Around it is amazing transparency of water and, very unusual, algae grow at the bottom. In this place, you can often meet flocks of dolphins.

Entertainment

As for entertainment, here they are more than enough!

Firstly, you should definitely visit the water park in Sharm El Sheikh at the Albatros Aqua Blue 4 * hotel. Nine different-sized pools and 44 slides with names from which people unfamiliar with extreme sports can freeze in their veins: “free fall”, “kamikaze”, “black hole” and “tsunami”. It will be an unforgettable experience!

Secondly, go to the show "1001 Nights." First of all, it is interesting to look at the Thousand and One Nights complex itself, which is located in Sharm El Sheikh, inside of which you can lose the sense of time and get from modern Egypt to Baghdad, “where everything is calm,” where there are turrets, domes, patterned walls, marble, and it seems that because of the turn a donkey loaded with goods is about to appear.

The feeling of losing time is further enhanced on the show itself, which consists of songs, dances, acrobatic performances and the notorious belly dance. Oriental craftsmen managed to fit the whole history of Ancient Egypt into the show, talk about the Sphinxes and Pharaohs, about Shaherizada and Sinbad, about the airplane carpet and harems. All this is so bright and unusual, but when horses appear on the stage and torches light up - on the platform that seats 2,500 people, no one really regrets the money spent on the ticket. By the way, for Russian speakers there is a separate room where the translation is in Russian, since the show is all in Arabic. Here is the Taj Mahal disco (on Fridays), which are also worth a visit!

Hurghada lovers are advised to visit the ALF LEILA WA LEILA 4 * hotel, which also hosts a magnificent show with Arabic motifs. Tourists who stay at this hotel have the opportunity to attend the show program for free. Do not forget to visit one of the most interesting clubs - Pacha. David Getta, Sarah Mayne, Steve Lawler and other famous DJs regularly visit one of the most popular nightclubs in the country. You can dance here not only on the huge dance floor, but also at the dimensionless bar and in the pool, which is located right in the center of the club. You can jump into the water right in shorts and a T-shirt, although there are probably parties here when clothes are not required at all.

It is impossible not to respect the presence of the legendary Hard Rock Cafe. A well-known network of bars and nightclubs, which reflects the atmosphere of the West in the East. In Sharm el-Sheikh there are two establishments of the Hard Rock Cafe brand. One of them is a large bar with a chic selection of drinks and snacks, located in the Naama Bay area. Three - a popular disco in the Nabq area. Photos of famous musicians on the walls, quality music, friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere. Hard Rock has won recognition from tourists and locals for its excellent cuisine and quality music, which is so great to dance to. You can talk endlessly about the institutions in this wonderful country, because it is as if it was created for relaxation! The main thing in Egypt is that there is enough energy for all the entertainment, and we guarantee the experience!

Kitchen

Lovers of satisfying food will definitely appreciate this country!

Fans of delicious food in Egypt clearly will not be offended. Various non-standard dishes and drinks will complement a wonderful holiday and allow you to enjoy any gourmet to the fullest!

Most dishes of the national cuisine of Egypt, as a rule, have a spicy taste, since a wide variety of spices and sauces are used for their preparation. Fans of vegetarian food will discover many delicious dishes prepared without meat and fish. The dish that you will be offered first of all in Egypt will most likely be made of beans, since beans are the hallmark of traditional Egyptian cuisine. A tasty and original bean dish, which is recommended for everyone to try, is a bean burger.

“Burger” has the form of small cutlets, which are prepared from cranked beans, garlic, coriander, various spices and deep-fried. The Bean Burger is good at any time of the day, but traditionally it is served in Egypt for breakfast. Fish and meat dishes are usually spicy and hearty, which is also characteristic of many other dishes of national Egyptian cuisine. Amazing variety of fish dishes, which contributes to the proximity to the Red Sea. One of the most popular dishes in restaurants is fish platter. In general, in Egypt there are a lot of so-called fish restaurants specializing in seafood.

Relaxation

And follow Egypt together! What do you need for this?

Make a wish in Ros Mohammed National Park. Flocks of colorful fish, islands of coral reefs protruding above the surface of the sea, mangroves that grow directly in the water are just a small part of what can be seen in this reserve. It is believed that Ras Mohammed is one of the most picturesque places in all of Egypt. And the beauty here can be found not only under water, but also on land - to take at least the geological faults formed as a result of earthquakes. By the way, the coral forests in this reserve were very fond of the famous Jacques Yves Cousteau.

There is also a small bay called magic. The water in it in concentration of salts is similar to the water of the Dead Sea and has healing properties. However, this Gulf is magical for other reasons - local residents are sure that it fulfills any desires, you just need to dive into the water with your head.

Pray in the Monastery of St. Catherine. For more than 1400 years, on the Sinai Peninsula, in a picturesque valley between the mountains of Catherine, Moses and Safsaf, one of the oldest Christian monasteries in the world - the Monastery of St. Catherine, has been continuously operating. Today, thousands of tourists come to the temple to enjoy the grandeur of the sacred construction of the monastery, which since 2002 has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On the territory of the monastery of St. Catherine there are 12 chapels: the chapel of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Holy Spirit, St. George, St. Stephen, St. Anthony, John the Baptist, John the Theologian and others. The main entrance to the monastery is currently closed. To his left is the emergency entrance, which is now used by monks, pilgrims and tourists. Both doors were made by the Crusaders back in the 11th century. They are decorated with carvings using Lebanese cedar. The main doors consist of 4 parts, decorated with reliefs of birds, animals, leaves and flowers.

Marvel at the colored Salam Canyon. What doesn’t happen in Egypt! Rocks of multi-colored sandstone: from white to bright red interspersed with granite, cobalt, copper and ancient corals gave the name to the canyon. The color of the rocks in some places is very bright with a prismatic metallic sheen, in other places - the color of the stone is very soft and delicate. The sandstones that make up the canyon are painted in various colors: red, pink, yellow, gray, purple, white. Just imagine the game of shades and colors! The canyon is a gigantic natural gap (most likely as a result of the earthquake) in the sandy rocks of the well-preserved ancient seabed. For several centuries, water and wind carved a depression in the red sandstone. By the way, the tour will take place in jeeps, thanks to which you will be able to see the maximum of many beauties!

Plunge into ancient history in Luxor. Luxor is the real gem of Egypt. A small town on the right bank of the Nile, located 500 km south of Cairo, was once the famous capital of ancient Egypt. This is a world center of archeology, and in the world there is no other city where such a huge number of ancient monuments would be concentrated. Since the city is located on the banks of the Nile, its sights are easily divided into the right bank - it is the “City of the Living” and the left - “City of the Dead”. In the "City of the Living" are the world famous Luxor and Karnak temples, once united by the avenue of the Sphinxes into a single ensemble. The most impressive place in the Karnak temple is the columned hall of the pharaoh Seti I. These are 134 columns 16 m high each, painted from top to bottom with colored bas-reliefs. On the south side of the temple adjoins a small sacred lake, on the banks of which there is a huge granite scarab beetle, which was considered sacred in Egypt.

Feel the real breeze on a boat trip to El Gouna. El Gouna is the smallest place, magnificent Egyptian Venice with many enviable beaches. The comparison with Venice is not accidental: in El Gouna, hotels are located on small islands interconnected by bridges. You can move in boats. Yes exactly! Go to Egypt and see gondolas and gondoliers here! And besides this, during a walk you can enjoy the wonderful and powerful Red Sea!

Tours in Egypt - this is one of the most popular requests from tourists. The reason for this was affordable prices and the simplicity of applying for a visa. Holidays in this country will suit everyone: a group of friends, a couple in love or a young family with children. It will be pleasant for travelers of any age to relax here.

Things to do in Egypt

Ukraine and Egypt differ in climate. It is worth remembering that in the summer in this country it is very hot. The temperature during the day can reach + 50 ° C in the sun, on average +32 - 36 ° C. Because of this, last minute trips to Egypt in summer are more common than in spring or autumn. In winter, they expect +20 - + 25 ° C during the day, and cold nights - up to + 10 ° C, in the desert, slight frosts are possible up to −5 ° C. If you are traveling to Egypt at this time of the year, then grab a jacket or sweater for evening walks.

Resorts

We associate Egyptian tourism mainly with destinations such as Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada, but there are other resorts in the country.

Sharm el Sheikh is a resort consisting of several bays. There are all kinds of entertainment: discos, casinos, bowling, shopping malls, dive centers, restaurants, pedestrian alleys and beautiful beaches with a sandy bottom. The cost of a trip to Sharm El Sheikh in the winter starts at $ 330 for a weekly stay in a three-star hotel. Egypt ... Tourism ... Sharm El Sheikh ... - this is the perfect combination for a chic youth holiday.

In Hurghada, coral reefs are located far from the coast, the entrance to the sea is smooth, sandy. Traditionally, the resort is chosen by families with small children, but youth will be interesting here. Prices for tours to Egypt with a seven-day stay in a three-star hotel start at $ 280.

Windsurfing enthusiasts go to Dahab from Kiev and not only! After all, the wind is constantly blowing here. The city itself is not particularly attractive in any way, however, in the vicinity there are many attractions and natural oases in the desert. In winter, prices for holidays in Egypt in 2017 at the four-star Dahab hotel could not be called cheap - at least $ 490, but the cost of water entertainment here is much lower than in Sharm.

Taba is a town suitable for a relaxing holiday. Corals here grow close to the shore, so you can enjoy the beauty of the underwater world every day. A trip to Egypt, to Taba for two will cost about $ 590. It is important that you can rush from here on an excursion to ancient Petra or the Israeli city of Eilat, because the resort is located near Israel, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.

El Gouna or, as it is also called, little Venice - a resort located on the water. Small motor boats with tourists are constantly cruising through the canals of the city. Holidays in Egypt in El Gouna at the height of the season will cost at least $ 900, and the cost of excursions will be $ 5 - 20 higher than in Hurghada.

The underwater world of Marsa Alam is the most colorful, because this resort is often advised by agencies when tourists choose last-minute tours to Egypt. Not far from Marsa Alam is the island of Zabargad, near which there is a reef where it is interesting to dive at night. A seven-day trip for two will cost at least $ 400, while diving and excursions will have to pay extra.

Makadi Bay is the only resort where you can immerse yourself in the atmosphere of relaxation in Egypt without local residents. It was created exclusively for visitors to the country. Focuses on a calm, secluded vacation. Families with children will also have a good time here. But the youth of Makadi Bay may seem boring. The cost of a trip to Egypt, to this region starts from $ 450 - 500 (with a flight).

Safaga is one of the cities not overloaded with tourists. Tourism at this resort is recommended for families, windsurfers and just lovers of peace and quiet.
