1. Visa application.
Contacted the office almost two weeks before departure. I needed to get a visa, I decided to use the services of Solvex because there was no time for self-registration. At the first visit to their office, we chose a tour, having paid 100% of the cost, asked what list of documents would be needed to get a Schengen to Greece, the manager looked at my documents and dictated the list: 2ndfl file, copies of all completed pages of the Russian passport, questionnaire, 2 photographs and actually a passport. A day later, the documents were on her desk, Alfia checked everything and assured that everything was in order and in three days the visa would be ready. Two days later, she informed me on the phone that these documents were not suitable: because I was registered not in Moscow and not in the Moscow Region, I need to make a temporary registration, instead of 2ndfl certificate, take a certificate on a special form of the visa center from the personnel department. It took time to prepare these documents, in the end I passed the documents a week before departure. Instead of the promised three days, the visa was ready only four working days later — on the last evening before departure, the passport was handed over not to me, but to the airport at the check-in counter (along with all other documents), which made me nervous before departure. Was Alfia really applying for a visa to Greece for the first time or was her incompetence in this matter related to some other circumstances?
2. Return flight.
Initially, we were promised that we would fly back and forth with the Greek Ellinair airlines, and the departure time to Moscow was designated 20:05, which pleased us because we would have had almost the whole day that we planned to spend on exploring the city of Soloniki. But immediately on the day of departure, when we received a package of documents at Domodedovo Airport, it turned out that we were flying back not with Greek airlines, but with VimAvia airline. Because this is a fairly budget option, lunch during a three-hour flight we were offered the appropriate - a sandwich and a drink. In addition, the time of the round-trip departure was postponed for 13:45, instead of the promised 20:05, so we were unable to inspect Solonniki.
