Already at Lake Onega itself, our ship made another stop, not included in the route - at the Voznesenye pier.

Voznesenye is an urban-type settlement in the Podporozhsky district of the Leningrad region, the administrative center of the Voznesensky urban settlement.

The population as of January 1, 2009 was 2,678 people. (I wonder what she was like in 1981? It’s unlikely that she was much different in one direction or another).

It is located in the northeast of the region, 91 km east of the administrative center of the region - the city of Podporozhye, at the source of the Svir River from Lake Onega. The village is a village:

But here, not far from the pier, we discovered one attraction - an unusual monument to Lenin.

How many Ilyich monuments have already been demolished in Rus', and this one, judging by Internet reports, still surprises traveling people:

I don’t remember where we even managed to buy a newspaper,

Of course, not this village, but the regional center, albeit an old one: regional newspapers were published once a week. The most interesting thing (for us, not for local residents), what we learned from it is that on September 1st it celebrates its 50th anniversary.
