Food prices. How to get to Rakotzbruck and where to stay

The German bridge in Stavropol is a legendary pre-revolutionary building, especially popular among lovers of beautiful photographs, climbers and climbers. This is a real attraction that is constantly visited by local residents and guests of the regional center, and the most courageous tourists remain to spend the night in a tent - there is a place nearby suitable for camping.

The history of the appearance of the German bridge in Stavropol

In 1943, the City of the Cross was a major railway junction, which included 2 stations, freight stations and a railway (Tuapse), laid in three directions:

  • to the west - Armavir;
  • to the north - Caucasian;
  • to the east - Petrovskoe (now Svetlograd).

German engineers were engaged in the design, in fact, which is why the German bridge in Stavropol got its name. Construction of roads, as historians say, was carried out by Austrian and German prisoners of war. But this did not happen during the Great Patriotic War, as most people think, but much earlier - from 1909 to 1917. However, even during the Civil War, a good part of the railways was destroyed. The rest was broken by the Germans themselves, however, not all sites were able to reach. So the German bridge remained in Stavropol - for history.

The German bridge today

The design of the railways and the construction of the bridges necessary for it were performed at the highest level. Looking at the architectural structure, you cannot say that it is already more than a century old - the attraction is well preserved. It seems that the bridge will stand still for several centuries - it looks so “fresh”, despite the unfavorable relief of the Stavropol Upland. It was built from local shell stone without the use of concrete.

The German bridge in Stavropol is held by five huge supports, with a diameter of 20 meters. The height of the structure is 18 m, width - 6 m, and length - 85 m.

Given the size of the bridge and its excellent safety, the construction is very popular with experienced climbers and climbers who regularly organize competitions here. Also, the attraction is visited by tourists and photography enthusiasts - against the background of a bridge located in the forest, very beautiful and unusual photos are obtained.

Is it true that there are several such bridges?

The Tuapse railway spread over an impressive territory, so the German bridge discussed in this article is far from the only surviving object. Some of them are already almost completely or partially destroyed, others are still functioning. They are located in different areas of Stavropol and the region.

How many of them are left is unknown, and no one counted. Although the most famous ones have different names, there is still confusion. Most often, the German bridge is confused with the New Caucasus. This is not surprising. The large Novokavkazsky bridge is also German, as it was built by the Germans and at the same time. But it is located in a completely different place - at the exit of the Verkhneegorlyksky farm. There is also a Small New Caucasus Bridge located here.

On "Chapaevka" (Stavropol region) is an abandoned Tashlyansky bridge, which locals call "Turkish". But few people visit it because of the unremarkable territory around.

Until now, centuries-old buildings have benefited the Stavropolites, serving faithfully. For example, existing bridges in the village of Tatarka and on Zavodskaya street. The most accessible for inspection is the Small German Bridge on the banks of the Elagin Pond.

Where is the German bridge in Stavropol and how to get to it?

Located in the Mamaisky Forest, the German bridge is very beautiful at any time of the year. To visit the viaduct, you need to go along Kuibyshev Street, then, without turning anywhere, down Michurin, to the house of Andrei Razin (built of red brick and looks like a castle). At this intersection, turn right onto the Volodarsky passage. Then go along the main one. Upon reaching the Elagin pond, go around it on the left side and climb up, towards the forest. Summer cottage cooperatives begin here, followed by the Deutsche Bridge bridge. From the most dachas, home-made signs lead to it, so it will be difficult to get lost.

The destruction of the Tuapse railway made Stavropol a dead end city, completely depriving it of the opportunity to develop in terms of food exports. On the other hand, the German bridge and other sections were disabled mainly due to the risk of landslides occurring on the Stavropol Upland. Nevertheless, it is already impossible to return anything, but there remains an important attraction, the age of which has already exceeded 100 years.

The Devil's Bridge, also known as the Rakotzbrücke Bridge, is located in the German park Kromlau. This surface stone arc was built in 1860 and to this day amazes many with its diabolical accuracy and picturesque surroundings. The bridge, together with its reflection, forms a clear circle, regardless of the point of observation. Although, of course, the water level in the river plays an important role in this.

According to legend, one unsuccessful architect made a deal with an unclean spirit, who promised to help him create an unusual bridge, but instead demanded the soul of the first one who would pass along the newborn crossing to the other side. Unclean possessed a person and helped him build what he wanted.

When the bridge was completed, the evil spirit came out of the body and began to wait for its "fee". A cunning architect launched a dog on the bridge. Out of indignation, evil spirits rushed into the water and no one else saw it.

According to another legend, one who will sail in the full moon on a boat under the Devil’s bridge will be able to discover hidden abilities. At the same time, it is strictly forbidden to look at your reflection or touch the water.

Among some researchers of mystical phenomena, there is an opinion that the bridge is a portal to other worlds. In 1983, two Swedish tourists, who were last seen near the mysterious bridge, disappeared without a trace in the park.

The Rakotzbruck Devil's Bridge in Germany is one of those amazing places that you must see at least once. It is not easy to find on maps, but if you come to the German park Kromlau - and you will see a real miracle. So, what is one of the most mysterious and unusual structures in the world?

History of the park

The Rakotzbrücke Round Bridge was built from 1863 to 1882. Basalt imported from Saxon Switzerland was chosen as the material for its construction. Huge columns are made of the same stone. Looking at them, it is difficult to believe that this is the creation of human hands - their serrated spiers are too similar to those created by nature itself.

The author of this building remains unknown to this day, but his work - a gray basalt arc with columns connecting the two banks of the Rakotz River, known as the Devil's Bridge - is one of the most remarkable sights of German Saxony.

The bridge got such a strange name due to its reflection in the water, with which it forms a perfectly even circle, striking with perfection. And from what angle you would not look at this amazing building, an impeccable circle is perfectly visible from anywhere in the park.

A lot of mystical stories are connected with the Rakotzbrücke bridge, including their unusual name.

Legends and mystical traditions

The devilish bridge Rakotzbrücke is shrouded in mystery and has the glory of a mystical place. One of the legends tells that it was not built by man at all, but by an evil spirit, which instilled in the architect.

It was a deal of the devil with an unknown architect who asked unclean inspiration for the construction of something special that would bring him fame and universal recognition. The devil agreed, but as a "fee" he requested the soul of the first one to cross the new bridge.

When the construction came to an end and the spirit, in anticipation of “payment for labor”, left the body of the architect, the latter deceived the unclean, letting the dog cross the bridge first. The devil did not like the soul of the dog, he was angry, rushed into the water and never appeared in these parts again.

However, there are other superstitions associated with the bridge. For example, there is a belief that if you sail in the full moon on a boat under the arch of the Devil's Bridge, you can discover hidden mystical abilities. But in order to get the desired result and at the same time avoid troubles, under no circumstances should you touch the water or look at your reflection in the river.

In addition, a number of researchers believe that the ideally round crossing is a portal to the other world. And as evidence of this lead to the mysterious disappearance of two tourists from Sweden, which happened in 1983.

How to get to Kromlau Park

The famous basalt crossing is located in the small town of Gablenz, which is 6 kilometers from the Polish border. The city of Dresden is located very close - it is only 84 kilometers from the Kromlau park.

If you are planning to stay in Gabblenz, Ferienwohnung Starke and Ferienwohnung "Lindenblick" are at your service.

Those who want to independently get to the Kromlau geopark should go to the town of Weisswasser - from here buses, trains and taxis regularly go.

You can also go on foot.

However, there is a more interesting option to see the Rakotzbrucke bridge in Germany - a narrow gauge railway, which in itself is a tourist attraction, and its route is laid through a beautiful park. The cars of this almost fabulous train run every weekend. Departure station - Weißwasser.

What else is worth seeing in the park

Kromlau Park covers an area of \u200b\u200b200 hectares and is a collection of a huge collection of plants. Every corner of it is worthy of attention. Therefore, to consider only the Devil's Bridge as an attraction, is unfair.

There are 11 baroque sandstone sculptures in the park. And what are the Rhododendron Gorge, the Alley of Sighs from fragrant and delicate azaleas ... In general, the landscapes of the park are more than beautiful! And this is not surprising, because the green zone was created specifically as an adjoining territory to the Retschke family palace, which you will certainly see when walking along Kromlau.

Be sure to pay attention to the 19th-century mansion Kavaliershaus, built in 1850 (today it houses a tourist information center).

Of interest is the original mailbox of the 19th century, as well as a memorial plate in honor of the founder of the park, Friedrich Rietške, who created it in 1844.

The park is always beautiful. But if you want to see it in all its glory and feel the fragrance of marvelous plants, especially rhododendrons, come here in May.

Conclusion

The amazing, unparalleled Racotzbrucke basalt bridge in Germany will not leave anyone indifferent. If you want to continue your acquaintance with the bridges of Germany, go to Magdeburg - here you will get no less interesting food for thought that will inspire you for a long time.

Shadhurei in translation means "round pool." Two almost perfectly round lakes look like craters of volcanoes among the hills. They are hidden in deep depressions formed as a result of karst dips.

Emerald-colored water surrounded by steep steep banks fascinates and scares. Neither rivers nor springs flow into the lakes, and water does not flow from them, however, the water level is constant all year round.

The lakes are poorly studied and very insidious. In them there are underwater currents, whirlpools, and swimming in them is life threatening. The exact depth is not known, according to some sources it exceeds 200 meters. Many terrible stories about the deaths and sunken cars told us by local residents.

No wonder these lakes were chosen for filming the scene of the white deer sacrifice in the film "Sannikov Land."

How to get there

Shadhurei lakes are located 3 km from the village of Kamennomostskoye. A dirt road with a makeshift sign leads to them. On the way there will be a shallow stream with steep banks. Cars with low landing to overcome it will be problematic. The last kilometer you can walk on foot, admiring the alpine meadows, as on the famous wallpaper of Windows XP "Serenity".))

Gedmishkh Waterfall  (on the map)

The waterfall has many names, it is also called "Gedmysh", "70 streams", or "Royal Falls".

A mountain stream flows through lush vegetation from a plateau and splits into a cascade of many jets. Because of this, it looks like a waterfall in the jungle of Brazil. If you rise 100 meters higher, you can see the source of the waterfall, there is also equipped with a small pool.

The height of the waterfall is about 60 meters.

How to get there

The waterfall is located 11 km from the village of Khabaz. A dirt road starts right behind the village and runs along the Malki River. The road is dangerous due to streams and rockfalls crossing it. The last 3 km the road rises uphill. And the final section is so complicated that not every SUV can overcome it.

Psynashhibl (on the map)

It often happens that some places are left unattended. So it was this time. Later we learned that between the villages of Kamennomostskoye and Khabaz there is another amazing place - cold sulfur springs. Psynashkhibl consists of several springs that hit from the ground and form peculiar pools.

We love Kabardino-Balkaria for the hospitality of the locals, the beautiful nature, the delicious huts and the neatness of the villages. And, probably, it’s for the best that we still have unexplored corners of this wonderful land.

The history of its construction is connected with the foresight of Sheikh Mohammed Ibn Rashid Al Maktoum. Sheikh Mohammed understood that when oil wells are empty, other sources of income will be needed. Then he decided to turn his country into one of the most exclusive resorts on the Gulf coast for wealthy tourists. Dubai had sun, sand and sea. One thing was missing - a significant symbol. The Burj Al Arab Hotel was supposed to be the tallest (it remained so until 2008) and the most luxurious hotel in the world. And its simple form - a wind-inflated sail towering above the water - has become the most recognizable symbol of modern Dubai.

If you do not stay at the hotel, you can get into it by taking an excursion with a required tea party or reserve a table in one of the many restaurants.

Great view of the Sail opens from the public beach Jumeirah beach  (on the map). The beach is spacious and the Sail opens in all its glory.

True, we did not succeed on this day: there were strong waves, and rescuers drove everyone out of the water. Therefore, we did not spend much time on the beach, and we had reserve options for what to do in this area:

Firstly, look at the hotel from a different angle at the entrance to the bridge connecting the coast and the artificial island on which the building stands.

Secondly, to visit a nice and cozy place - the market Souk madinat jumeirah  (on the map). Although the Madinat Jumeirah complex is not very similar to the market, in the usual sense of the word. In addition to shops with traditional goods, Madinat attracts with Arabic-style buildings, artificial canals with turquoise water, an abundance of greenery and silence and tranquility unusual for Dubai. There is a stage where concerts are held and several small cafes.

From Souk Madinat we decided to walk to the Mall Mall of the Emirates  (on the map). In the Mall we were interested in two things: the first indoor ski resort in the Middle East Ski dubai  and a large supermarket Carrefour. In the supermarket, in addition to everything else, a large selection of fruits, dates and spices, as well as a wide range of prepared dishes.

Second day. Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa, Fountains

The first half of the day we stayed at the hotel, lounging by the pool.

And after that we went to Dubai Downtown (on the map), where the most famous sights are located.

Dubai Mall  - The largest shopping and entertainment center in the world in terms of total area. We were not interested in shopping, we wanted to see one of the largest Aquariums, with the world's largest monolithic acrylic glass; waterfall  with divers for pearls 24 meters high; and real dinosaur skeleton.

While going to these objects, we managed to fully examine the Mall itself and get tired of the order. Help at navigating the shopping center is helped at information desks, where you can also take a guide to the Mall in your own language or use the electronic information board. Very convenient, given the scale.

Only here we were fortunate enough to see the indigenous people of the UAE: men in snow-white ironed handcuffs and women in black robes with their faces covered. Photographing the local population is not accepted, and women are even criminally punished, and can cause arrest for three days.

Everyone comes out of the Dubai Mall with purchases, we also decided to keep up. Only others have packages from Valentino and Louis Vuitton, and we have a branded paper bag from Dubai Mall, which you can get for free at the information desk :-)

At the exit from the Mall, a view of the artificial lake, the skyscrapers of the Duantown area and Burj Khalifa opens.

Burj Khalifa is the highest skyscraper in the world, with a height of 828 m. A total of 163 floors.

In the evening, a fountain show begins. We managed to watch the performance three times: at sunset, at night and from the observation deck of the Burj Khalifa.

Tickets for the tower were bought in advance on the website http://www.burjkhalifa.ae/. The sunset time is considered the most successful and the prices for this period are more expensive. We chose night time at 19-30. Ascent to the observation deck on the 124th floor by elevator will take no more than a minute. But to be on this elevator, you have to stand in line for about an hour. The view of the night city from a height of 452 meters is beautiful.

The thrill of visiting this attraction is mixed. On the one hand - amazing views, on the other - the duration of standing in line and the price (125 AED). Our goal was to visit the tallest building in the world. And although this task was completed, there was no complete feeling that we were in the tower itself: from the Dubai Mall, we walked along the long corridors to the elevators that lead only to the observation deck of the skyscraper. Perhaps, to visit Burj Khalifa, it is worth considering other options: from visiting the Armani hotel to asking for tea to the Indian billionaire B. R. Shetti, whose apartments occupy the entire hundredth floor? ;)

Day Three Dubai Marina

Dubai Marina  - this is the area with the most impressive skyscrapers and an artificial lagoon with numerous yachts (on the map). One of the best ways to get to know this place is to simply walk along the marina. Length The walk promenade  is about 2 km.
Having bathed in indecently warm sea, and having not received relief from the heat, we left this beach. After drinking iced coffee at Starbucks, we went to a little-known beach. Sufouh public beach (on the map) located in the Al Safou area. There are no locker rooms, no cafes, nothing at all. But the crowded, spacious, clear transparent water and a view of the Sail from a different angle. In this place we thoroughly enjoyed a beach holiday.

Day four. Aquaventure Water Park

That day, we flew home on a night flight. I absolutely do not like situations where you have to either wander somewhere until the evening, or extend the number. We found a good solution, and went all day to the water park. Published on April 24, 2017 |

Curious researchers find mysterious and amazing places that give unforgettable memories and vivid impressions.

In Germany, there are several such anomalous places - Eternstein's stone grottoes, a ghost in Wolfzegg Castle, located in the Pfaltzerwald "Devils" nature reserve, Mount Lorelei, located in the very center of the country "Sleepy Village" and the Rakotzbrücke bridge, called "Devils".

The Rakotzbrücke bridge is an amazing building, shrouded not only in ancient but also in modern superstitions, is the main attraction of the Saxon city of Gablenz, and it is located in the palace landscape park Kromlau, broken in 1844 by Friedmann German Rötschke on the shore of Lake Rakotzsee.

An unusual crossing is an amazing structure. The basalt bridge, ideal in its shape in a semicircular arc, rises above the smooth and calm surface of the lake, over which the branches of trees bend with lush foliage, and when the water level is at a certain level, the Devil's Bridge and its reflection create a picture of an ideal circle. And no matter where you look at this moment, the devilish accuracy of the circle remains unchanged. The gray, inhospitable material from which the bridge is made, sharp basalt teeth gouging at the entrance to the crossing, serene like a mirror, the expanse of water, and the silence of even the most convinced skeptics will make you believe in the mystical powers and the existence of inhospitable spirits for a moment.

History and legends of the Rakotzbruck bridge

The history of the bridge began not so long ago, only in the nineteenth century, when in 1860 basalt mountains were brought to the park from Switzerland to create basalt rocks and the Devil's Bridge, which was not called then. Basalt had to be carried out from another country, since no deposits of this building material were observed in Saxony.

A little-known architect, whose name in history, unfortunately, has not been preserved, decided, according to legends, to create an unusual, impressive building that will bring him fame and honor. Either having read Faust, or having consulted with mystically minded people, this architect entered into a contractual relationship with the devil. The unclean spirit, as payment for unsurpassed architectural talents, demanded by itself a soul, but not the architect himself, but the one who was the first to cross this bridge. Apparently because the architect really didn’t possess even a bit of talent, the unclean had to do everything himself and move in to realize the goal directly in man. Finally, the Rakotzbrücke bridge was built and it was, as expected, unusual and beautiful. The spirit left the body of the architect, and impatiently began to expect its "salary". But the architect was not so simple and deceived the unclean, letting the dog cross the bridge as a pioneer. The soul of the dog did not fit the devil, he was upset, angry and rushed into the water. No one else saw him in those places, and the unclean spirit did not conclude deals with anyone else. But superstition and signs were nevertheless born of this amazing structure.

Despite the fact that the unclean spirit remained dissatisfied, the Rakotzbrucke bridge has a positive effect on people. When the full moon comes, you need to swim in a boat or other craft under the arc, which will help not only enjoy the amazing scenery, but also discover hidden abilities. If you avoid during this nightly walk an irresistible desire to touch the water with your hand and look at your reflection in the water surface, then everything will be fulfilled and the person’s newly discovered abilities will no longer leave.

Another belief believes the Rakottsbrucke bridge and its reflection in the lake as a portal to another, parallel world. True, the only people who mysteriously disappeared under the bridge were tourists from Sweden.

How to get to Rakotzbruck and where to stay

Kromlau Park is located near the town of Gablenz, in the state of Saxony, Görlitz district. The largest city closest to this park is the city of Dresden, the distance from it to Kromlau is 84 kilometers.

You can stay in the town of Gablenz at the Ferienwohnung Starke and Ferienwohnung Lindenblick hotels, where one-night apartments will cost about 2500 rubles.
