Hi all! In Greece, I vacationed at Atos Palace on the advice of a tour operator and was very pleased. The hotel turned out to be quite good, located in a large green area - there are many trees and bushes all around. In the perimeter there is a large swimming pool, a snack bar, a children's playground and a football field, and also a church - it perfectly conveys the local flavor! I got a room on the fifth floor with a stunning view of the sea. Very spacious room and bathroom, everything worked. There is a refrigerator, air conditioner, hair dryer, towels and soap accessories. The floor in the room has a very comfortable carpet. They cleaned normally, brought new towels every day and replenished the supply of shampoo and conditioner.
The sea is excellent, clean and without waves. The beach is wide and sandy - there was enough space for everyone. The downside is that going into the water, rocks and slabs is completely inconvenient! Therefore, most often I went to Palini beach.
The food at the hotel is beyond praise. The restaurant started working at 7 am, although the schedule stated 7:30. Breakfasts, lunches and dinners are very nutritious, most importantly everything is fresh and tasty. The waiters brought tea and coffee in a kettle, and then they topped up the water themselves. For dinner I always served fish dishes and several other types of meat, and of course, vegetables and fruits. It's impossible to stay hungry! The service is high quality, the cutlery and utensils are clean.
There are many shops around where I bought souvenirs, as well as pizzerias and minimarkets. You can walk to the village of Kallithea in 20-25 minutes, and there are clubs, discos and other entertainment there. By beautiful road along the sea from Kallithea you can get to the cozy tavern Diaz (literally 5-10 minutes walk). The holiday turned out to be exciting, I will definitely return to this hotel and region!

For the first time we decided to relax at the Kriopigi resort, at Athos Palace. The hotel itself seemed a little old, but the rooms were quite decent (simple but new and comfortable furniture, air conditioning, refrigerator and other necessary accessories). The downside was the view from the room - onto the road, and you could also hear the roar of a disco. But we closed the windows and there was no inconvenience! We lived on an all-inclusive system and decided that it would be more profitable and that drinks and booze could really hit the pocket (any drink at the bar cost 3 euros). The food was decent; all the dishes that were served suited our stomachs.
There is no animation in the hotel, as such, but every evening there was live music in the lobby - it turned out very romantic! Also, we once had a beach party, and it turned out quite great too! The hotel area is huge and surrounded by flowers, so there was plenty to walk around! We booked excursions from locals, it turns out cheaper. We were impressed by Meteorites and Thessaloniki, it was very exciting, but not even all the adults could stand it all day in the heat, not to mention the children. We had a good rest and will definitely return to the hotel!

We stayed at the Athos Palace hotel for 10 days, from August 26 to September 5, 2016. At this time, there was an influx of parents with small children from 3 months to 7 years. Funny!
About the hotel.
The hotel has 8 floors, +floor H, +floor S, 0-floor reception, -1 restaurant, -2 access to the store and the beach. All lower floors on the ground in different levels. I liked the hotel and, by and large, have no complaints about it. The girls at the reception are friendly, half of them speak Russian well, there are no communication problems. They are attentive to requests and always try to fulfill them.
The hotel area is large, very green, clean. The rooms are small, all with balconies, smooth carpeting, medium-sized beds, but the mattresses are very hard, the first days my sides hurt, then I got used to it a little, TV old model with 3 Russian channels. Centralized air conditioning system, we tried to lower the temperature using the regulator on the wall - unfortunately, temperature regulation is impossible. Behind the glass balcony door there is a louvered sliding door with ventilation holes, very convenient when there are mosquitoes. At this time there are almost none, but if you like to sleep with the door wide open and are sensitive, then a fumigator near your body will not hurt. By the way, take tees for the socket if you have gadgets. The bathroom is in order, everything is intact, everything works, the water pressure is good. As hygienic shower You can use the bathroom hose that is at hand. Unfortunately, there is no shampoo, conditioner, or body cream. There is only liquid soap in wall bottles. Which is a strange phenomenon for 4 stars. Safe - for a fee. They clean well, change towels every day and bed linen every other day. But sometimes they come after 14-15.00, this is very inconvenient, because at this time you want to relax after the beach and lunch. The sound insulation of the walls is excellent, you can't hear the neighbors, but the front door doesn't have a tight seal, so you can hear what's happening in the hallway. Vacationers need to understand this and behave accordingly.

The restaurant is decorated in Mediterranean style, like the whole hotel, very beautiful, spacious, clean. The waiters are polite, all requests are fulfilled quickly. We really liked the food. The dishes are different every day. There is a large assortment of meat: beef, chicken, pork, veal, turkey, lamb. Everything is low-fat, not overcooked. I would say that cooking is close to the model of healthy eating. And very tasty. There are a variety of soups, we even had borscht 2 times in 10 days. Every day there is fish, cutlets, meat balls, meat rolls. Vegetable salads, separate vegetables. From fruits: peaches, oranges, plums, pears, apples, kiwi, watermelons, melons. Large selection of sweets, about 10+ options.
Beach.
Sandy, very long, lots of umbrellas and sunbeds, enough for everyone at any time of the day. All – use is free. Towels with deposit. The entrance to the sea is gentle, at first about 3 meters along rounded stones, then sand (special slippers will not hurt). There is a sand entrance on the right, near the floats. Many reviews advise going to the nearby sandy beach hotel Pallini, but we saw a sewer outlet on the pier directly to this beach and therefore I do not recommend it (photo in the appendix).
We were not interested in animation, but during the day there is animation by the pool, and in the evening there is wonderful live music playing. Wonderful, open bar on the 0th floor, free for everyone. At the pool bar, ice cream of 3 types is free for All. It should be noted that the coffee in the hotel is disgusting, both in the restaurant and in the bars. As much as I am a coffee lover, I couldn’t drink a single cup in 10 days.
The reviews write about the problem with the elevators. We didn't see this problem. Of the 4 elevators, 3 are always working. If you are not disabled, then you can easily walk to the 4th floor, and not write that you are waiting for a long time. I watched many people take the elevator up just one floor.
Now about the unpleasant neighborhood. There are 3 hotels on the same territory. I was under the impression that the Pallini Hotel is for the hearing impaired. There, animators, physical trainers and everyone who is not too lazy shout into their bullhorns all day long. Because of their yelling, it is problematic to relax during the day for those whose rooms overlook the sea. Rooms that face the mountains hear loud music from night bars until 5am. If the door is tightly closed, this can probably be avoided. On the "mountain view" side, behind thick trees, there is a road that takes you to the neighboring town with shops and entertainment. The bus runs according to a schedule that is posted at the stop. You can take a taxi. You can walk, about 20 minutes.
In the area between the 2 hotels, Athos & Pallini, there is a sewage treatment plant that hums like a beast. During the day, you can’t hear it over the general noise, but at night you can only sleep with the door closed. And she smells of feces, those who lie to the right of the pool feel it. Although, people are different, their sense of smell and hearing are also different, so many do not pay attention to this. I am writing this for those who are especially sensitive. The choice is yours. In fact, hotel management could close the top and sides of this structure from the eyes, ears and noses of vacationers, and the problem would be easily solved.
The hotel had an exhibition and sale of different fur coats, about a hundred models. If you need a fur coat, have payment options with you. Minimum price 1300 euros. Personally, I didn’t buy anything because I am against such use of animals.
Overall, we are pleased with our vacation. I liked the hotel. The staff is attentive. The food is excellent. I wish you a pleasant holiday!
