Hidden text

Summerset Isle(also known as the Aldmeri Dominion of Alinor) is a large island southwest of Tamriel. In addition to the main island, Summerset includes another small island. Summerset once included the Pyandonean island system, but they separated after a war with the king of Summerset. Summerset Isle is inhabited by Altmer (the Imperials call them High Elves). They say that magic flows in their blood. While some believe that the Sload were the first to settle on the island, others believe that the first settlers were the Aldmeri.

Story

During the Oblivion Crisis, Summerset was besieged by Daedra. The Crystal Tower was destroyed by hordes of Daedra. The Thalmor, once playing a minor role, were given enormous power and strength to resolve the crisis. They succeeded, so the Thalmor began to be considered the saviors of Summerset. In 4E 22, the Thalmor seized control of Summerset and renamed it Alinor. Creating the Dominion, the Thalmor captured Valenwood in 4E 29. Later, the Confederation of Elsweyr was annexed to the Dominion in the form of two individual states.

Geography

Few pieces of information are known about the geography of Summerset. Situated atop Summerset's tallest mountain, Eton Nir, Cloudrest is a bizarre mixture of different architectural styles, with unusual buildings resembling tangled vines rising above the old buildings. The most remote and isolated ruins are made of coral, which must have been brought from distant seas. This is considered one of the proofs of the presence of slows.

Artaeum Island is the third largest island in the Summerset Archipelago, located south of the village of Moridunon in Potans and west of the village of Runsibey, located on the mainland. Artaeum is home to one of the oldest monastic orders in Tamriel, the Psijic Order. The island of Artaeum abounds with beautiful orchards and pristine pastures, quiet and serene lagoons and misty and mysterious forests, as well as the unique Psijic architecture that fits so naturally into natural beauty islands.

Tower of Zeporah- This is a trace of a civilization that precedes the high elves by several hundred years. It is located in the Cave of Dreams, which Sotha Sil once used as a portal to the realm of Oblivion until the cave was closed by the Psijics. The island of Artaeum once moved to another world, just like Umbriel, but after 500 years it returned. Artaeum disappeared again about 100 years ago, before civil war in Skyrim, and no one has seen him since.

The Isle of Artaeum was the home of Mannimarco, the leader of the necromancers in Tamriel.

Policy

The island is inhabited by different social classes. The wise are teachers and priests, then come artists, princes, warriors, workers, merchants and landowners. At the bottom of the social ladder are various creatures, such as tamed goblins, who are in a state of slavery. But all was not always well on the islands, the Sloads often attacked the islands using necromancy, an example of this is the Sack of Skywatch in 1301 1 Era and the Uvichil War in 2911 1 Era.

Famous places:

  • Alinor- the capital of the Summerset Isles, located on the western shore of Artaeum.
  • Cloudrest- a sanctuary of the Psijic Order that has a tendency to disappear.
  • Crystal Tower- an important symbol of the Altmeri civilization, such as White Gold for the Ayleids.
  • Dusk- a city on the southeastern coast of the largest island.
  • Eton Nir– the most high mountain in the Summerset Isles, located in the north-central part largest island. It is home to the most amazing architectural structures.
  • Firsthold- a city in the northern part of the second largest island.
  • Lillandril- a city on the northwestern coast of the largest island.
  • Shimmeren- a city located in the east-central part of the largest island.
  • Skywatch- a city in the central part of the second largest island.
  • Sunhold- a city located in the southeastern part of the big island.

A modification released in early August that adds a fairly large island called Summerset to the game. Comparable in size to the DLC, it continues the story of the archmage, who will be able to receive an invitation to the island after taking office. The quest begins at the Frosthearth tavern. Unlike the original game, many quests here are non-linear and have consequences, and to complete them you will not always be able to use markers - you will have to think, read and reflect. However, nothing surprising - after all, you are an archmage, and not a stupid mudcrab. There is only one drawback to this supplement - it is in English, and the author does not give permission for any form of translation, so you will have to make do on your own.

The mod contains the following:

30 hours of gameplay
60+ quests
600+ new NPCs
30+ traders
Several new locations, including Summerset Isle
A number of potential homes for the player
New craftable items, food and drinks
New Collectable Ingredients
New buildings
Dozens of new creatures
Unique travel system
40+ cities, villages and settlements
60+ caves and dungeons to explore
New spells from various schools of magic
Your own soundtrack
Fully routed navmes - you can travel with companions
Fully voiced

And here is the trailer for the expansion:

Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim

Another bright modification, released simultaneously with Summerset Isle. EnaiSiaion, the author of Skyrim's most popular magic mod, Apocalypse magic, appears to be tired or not entirely satisfied with mods like PerMa and SkyRe that rework the game's skill trees. So he decided to create his own mod for changing skills - with blackjack and courtesans.

The skill tree now contains 425(!) perks, which allows you to create much more diverse builds for your heroes, and also significantly increases replayability. I can hardly describe at least a tenth of the abilities here, so I recommend that you either go to the mod page, or watch the video for reference, or even install and try the mod. What’s nice is that installing the mod is simple and does not require any patching, as is the case with SkyRe and PerMa.

Now let's move on to those modifications that are still in development.

The Forgotten City is another big modification that will add an ancient underground city. Of course, one new city is not enough - the mod will have its own story, revolving around a murder investigation - you will have to explore, interrogate suspects, fight new enemies and even travel through time! The mod contains around 1,200 lines of dialogue and 30 characters you can interact with, as well as several different endings depending on the decisions you make.

Features of the mod:

  • Explore a mesmerizing city created with attention to the smallest details
  • Uncover secrets, find treasures and relics that have been untouched for millennia.
  • Mysterious and non-linear story with multiple endings
  • The story will intrigue and shock you, but it will not lead you by the hand.
  • Mysterious riddle which you can solve by traveling through time
  • Moral Dilemmas - Regardless of which character you play, you can choose your style of play.
  • 30 characters voiced by 15 voice actors from the USA, Britain, France, Canada and Australia.
Well, as usual, the expansion trailer:

Enderal

Perhaps the most anticipated work from the SureAI studio, which gave us Nehrim. A complete reworking of Skyrim with its own plot, world and history.

Skywind

Who doesn't know about Skywind - a modification that creates Morrowind on the Skyrim engine? It seems to me that there are no such people left anymore. Just the other day, the authors published a blog post where they talk about the progress in developing the modification.

The blog briefly talks about three design elements of the project - 3D models, voice acting and music in battle.

The authors pay great attention to, at first glance, little things like models of nets, fish, and some devices for filling the game world. Despite the fact that these things do not directly affect the gameplay, they create a unique atmosphere in the game - a feeling of integrity and completeness. High-quality filling of locations prevents players from feeling that “something is missing here.” However, look at the screenshots of their work for yourself.

As for the dialogues, many people were sure that since Morrowind has a huge amount of text in the dialogues, the authors would cut a large number of content. We hasten to destroy these fears - those things that will really be cut are repetitive and uninformative things. At the same time, NPCs will react more often to the player's presence and certain things. For example, they now have a reaction to finding corpses, and they can now communicate with each other - neither of which existed in the original Morrowind.
The voice actors are in the process of reworking about 40,000 lines of dialogue and this moment The project involves approximately 100 people who are specifically involved in voice acting. Something has already been completed, judge for yourself:

That's all, as always, thanks for reading and see you in future articles!

Summerset Isles

|

|

|

The Summerset Isles (sometimes spelled Summurset or Samerset) is a province in the southwest of Tamriel, consisting of fourteen islands of varying sizes. The three largest and most important are the islands of Summerset, Auridon and Artaeum (which could suddenly easily disappear on long term). In 4E 22, the Thalmor came to power and renamed the region after its capital, Alinor, although many outside the province still call it Summerset. The current inhabitants are the Altmer, although it is believed that the first settlers, before the arrival of their direct descendants, the Aldmer, were the Sload.

In recent years, Firsthold has been under the rule of King Karoodil and Queen Morgiah.

Lillandril

Lillandril - seaport on the northwestern coast of Summerset Isle.

Around 1E 470, the townspeople find a magic bottle. The bottle of Lillandril absorbed any magic directed against its owner and was used to strengthen the power of the Barons of Summerset Isle. While transporting the bottle to the city of Daggerfall, the ship carrying it crashed near the island. In 2E 864, the bottle was dug up by Cyrus Redguard, who with its help then defeated the powerful necromancer Sload N'Ghast. Rumor has it that the bottle is the property of Clavicus Vile.

At one time, a branch of the Mages Guild was located in Lillandril, which was later disbanded. The local guild drew its power from a magical diamond, which was then stolen by priests from the Temple of the Mad God. During the Eternal Protector returned him. In return, the Guild used their newfound power to locate the Crystal Tower.

Shimmeren

Shimmeren(or Shimeren) is a city of lights located in the central-eastern region of the main island.

Skywatch

Skywatch- one of the main cities of Auridon, the second largest island of the Summerset archipelago. Built around ancient ruins.

The Sload, notorious for their mastery of necromancy, terrorized the Altmer for millennia, calling sea monsters to the coast and besieging Skywatch. The Skywatch massacre in 1E 1301 is one of the most horrific events in Tamriel's history. Internal conflicts between Skywatch and Firsthold often erupted into full-scale war.

Sunhold

Sunhold- a city located in the southeastern part of the largest island. Writers like Erramanvi and Lathenil were from this city.

Vulkhel Guard

Vulkhel Guard is a port city located at the southernmost tip of the island of Auridon.
