Donetsk water park "Aquasphere" is the largest and most modern park water attractions in Ukraine. When developing this water park, the main goal of its creators was to create such unique place for a vacation with the whole family, which will be available to all residents of the city. The water park itself is located in Shcherbakov Park. This building has a unique dome, which consists of lightweight metal structures, and their length reaches 100 meters - in summer time these metal structures will open like petals, allowing you to enter the water park directly under open air.

As for the attractions, you will not find their analogues in all of Ukraine. There is a “loop” slide and an attraction in which several slides are intertwined into one. The length of these slides is 85 meters and the height is 25. About 45 million dollars were spent on the construction of this facility.

The opening ceremony was hosted by the famous Russian TV presenter Yuri Nikolaev. The mayor of Donetsk, Alexander Alekseevich Lukyanchenko, also gave a speech of congratulations. In addition to congratulating and cutting the symbolic red ribbon with scissors stylized as snakes, he also held a ceremony of awarding diplomas of the Donetsk City Council and memorable gifts to a number of people who distinguished themselves in the construction of the water park.

In his speech, the mayor emphasized that all the wishes of the city council were taken into account, and no money was allocated from the city budget for construction. VIP guests, who were separated from journalists and ordinary guests by security guards and red tape, were shown a short video on the screen showing the progress of the construction of the structure. After this, a select group went to sightseeing tour, to which representatives of the administration did not allow most of the journalists who came to cover the event.

At this time, guests were invited to watch the synchronized swimming performance and watch the first lucky ones who demonstrated the capabilities of the slides and attractions.
