The modern and excellent Dam Sen Water Park (Cô ng viê n n ớ c ầ m Sen) is located on the territory of the Dam Sen Cultural Park and offers its guests a huge number of water activities, intended for both adults and children.

Some of these activities allow visitors to fully experience reconnecting with nature, as they ride down the large inflatable ring on the Wandering River ride and are surrounded by wonderful trees to immerse themselves in an atmosphere of natural tranquility. This park is a godsend for children who, regardless of age, will be delighted with the entertainment provided here. There are quiet pools for the little ones and breathtaking attractions for older kids. Well, don’t forget that there is a lot of interesting things for adults here too!

We went to Dam Sen Park in Ho Chi Minh City twice on this trip to Vietnam! And what? If you are short on time, love water parks and have children, I recommend visiting Dam Saint Ho Chi Minh City. Why there, and not to the Dai Nam park, for example, or to? And now I’ll tell you).

  1. firstly, Dam Sen is located in the center of Ho Chi Minh City, you don’t need to go far,
  2. secondly, the water slides there are wonderful and all different,
  3. thirdly, it is not expensive.

And how refreshing it is in the Vietnamese heat!

How to get to Dam Sen Park in Ho Chi Minh City

Dam Sen Park is located in the city of Saigon, getting there is quick and easy. City bus No. 19 runs to the water park. Buses run every 20 minutes from the Bien Thanh stop to Dam Sen Park itself. That's the end point and you have to go back from there.
The cost of a one-way bus ticket is 5,000 dong (7-8 rubles)

be careful: There are two Bien Thanh bus stations. Bus number 19 does not depart from the one next to the market, but from the second station, a little further away. I find it difficult to explain. It’s better to look at the map of Ho Chi Minh City.

Benh Thanh bus station on the map of Ho Chi Minh City

Dam Sen Park has an area with rides and swings and a carousel and a water park itself. You must pay separately for entrance to the amusement park and water park. We didn't go to the attractions; the water park was enough for us.

Entrance fees to Dam Sen Water Park in Saigon

  • The price of an adult ticket is 130 thousand dong (approximately 200 rubles)
  • The price of a child's ticket (the child's height must not be higher than 120 cm) is 90 thousand VND

If you arrive after 16.00, the entrance price is lower

  • Adult ticket - 110 thousand VND,
  • children's - 80 thousand VND

But I don’t see any point in coming after 4 days - the Dam Sen water park is open until 6 pm, but you still need to change clothes and dry off at least a little after water activities.

The water park, like many similar establishments, has changing rooms, toilets, showers and storage rooms. All things can be handed over to the cell, you can get a key and put it in a tube that hangs around your neck. By the way, we also put money in this tube. It’s very comfortable and nothing gets wet or comes loose, even when you’re flying down the steepest hills. And money can be useful in the water park - there is a cafe there that sells snacks, hot kebabs, cold drinks and beer.

My advice: The best place to visit Dam Sen Water Park is weekdays. On Monday, for example, when we were there, we didn’t have to stand and wait for our turn at any of the slides. There were few people, there were plenty of free sun loungers by the artificial sea, and the slides were not filled with people either. But on weekends there are a lot of Vietnamese families with children.
The water park is located in the city, it’s the easiest to get to, and it’s not that expensive. Therefore Dam Sen - favorite place for relaxation among Vietnamese living in Saigon

My review: We really liked Dame Sen Park! Water slides there is a lot there, there is a cafe, there are sun loungers, it is fun and clean. Of course, the water park at Vinpearl Land in Nha Trang is cooler. But Vinpearl is the only one in the whole of Vietnam and it’s probably not very correct to compare with it. You can also have a great time in Dam Sen.

When they say that there is nothing to do in Saigon, one day is enough to do everything, I am honestly amazed. Go around unique remote neighborhoods, visit shops in Ho Chi Minh City and cafes serving Vietnamese cuisine, go to at least one museum, a water park, a zoo, and so on, walk through the French center - and all this in one day? Unreal. But if you have very little time, if you are tormented by the heat and stuffiness and you don’t want to go shopping, a trip to the water park will be a great solution!
