From July 17 to July 24, my family and I vacationed in Bulgaria, in the village of Ravda at the 5* Emerald Hotel. I want to note Good work representatives of the Bulgarian partners of KITT, who met us in Bulgaria, provided comprehensive information and, when the time came, escorted us. Let me start with the fact that the village of Ravda in a short time (since in reviews 2 years ago it is described as a very small settlement) has become a very decent resort town, with very advantageous position on the coast. The Emerald Hotel was built only in 2007 and few people know about it; when we were planning our trip, we found only one review. Since the hotel is located away from the roads, the air is unusually clean. The hotel is very beautiful, not only can no other hotel in Ravda compare with it, but, perhaps, on the entire coast (and we drove through most of it). The hotel consists of a main building and a complex of apartments on a large area (5-6 hectares). This area has several swimming pools, including several for children, bridges, rivers, waterfalls and waterfalls. The hotel has created especially favorable conditions for children - these include several children's pools, a small water slide, a mini waterfall, and for very young children there are large wicker ball-houses containing large mattresses where they can play, as well as children's playgrounds with the necessary paraphernalia. In the evening, large rubber slides were inflated, where children jumped with pleasure. There are many parents and children relaxing at the hotel; during the day, the entire path approaching the beach is lined with strollers. Shore - White sand, the bottom was clean, however, for several days green algae appeared in the evening, but by morning they disappeared. The beach is thoroughly cleaned every evening. The night illumination of the hotel buildings and the pool is very beautiful - everything sparkles with green lights. There is a green area around, you need to go down to the beach along a concrete path, but it is not tiring and takes a few minutes. The beach is small, sandy, and has stone piers. Lifeguards are constantly on duty (a warning whistle is often heard if someone swims behind the buoys). In the description of the hotel before the trip, I read that sunbeds, air mattresses, inflatable pillows and balls are free near the pool, but only sunbeds and umbrellas by the pool turned out to be free, since by the sea they are paid - 3 levs, by the pool - free and there were enough of them whenever we came - there were always empty seats by the pool. The sun loungers are wooden, there is a natural green fence around, giving a pleasant coolness and, what I especially liked, the shower by the pool has not only cold, but also hot water.
The hotel staff speaks Russian quite well and is very friendly, but I had to ask twice for a second electric key (there were 3 of us on holiday and one key was not enough), since on the first day they assured me that a second key would not be given and only when I found out that people have 2 keys, she came and asked for a key on the second day - they gave it right away. You can change money at the reception; the currency exchange window was always open, but the rate was a little lower than in the town.
A little about our housing. We had a studio room, which has a kitchen section with everything you need: two-burner stove, microwave oven, electric kettle, knives, forks, spoons, glasses, cups, plates, saucers, bowls, saucepan, frying pan, grater, cutting board, scissors . There was an ironing board in the room (still in a case, no one used it) and an iron. On the veranda there is wooden furniture - a table and chairs, as well as a clothes dryer. Everything is new and clean. Our room had a “gaden view”, so we saw a bright green tennis court (where those who wanted to practice regularly with a coach in the morning), a volleyball court and a green area consisting of trees of various species. The room also has a DVD, plasma TV with 7 Russian programs (1st, RTR, Sports, NTV). Before leaving, I read in the hotel description that the studios were 46-47 m in size and I hoped that this would be the case, but the studio room turned out to be no more than 25 m, and that included the loggia. When we began to find out from the hotel manager whether the room corresponded to the parameters that should have been provided to us, she replied that in the plan it was generally listed as 51 m2 in area! In response to our silent question, she explained that travel agencies that book rooms do not bother to come and look at the true dimensions, so that the vacationer can imagine a real picture of the room in which he will live. We traveled from the Voyage company (Kyiv), so they agreed that they would clean our room 2 times a week and of all the necessary supplies in the bathroom upon arrival there was only toilet paper. There wasn't even a bar of soap to wash your hands after the journey. When we asked at the reception why the 5* hotel did not have the most necessary things, we were told that our sending company ordered it that way and that if we wanted all the accessories, we could pay extra. We, of course, bought everything when we walked to the store a few minutes walk from the hotel and the room smelled of roses from soap, gel and shampoo, but know that we had done this earlier - we would have taken what we needed with us or, at least, would have been ready for the fact that you immediately need to run for this most necessary thing! And when looking at the photos of the hotel, how beautifully all the jars and boxes were displayed on the dressing table in the bathroom! Naturally, we blame our Voyage tour operators for this, who did not bother to inform us about the level of service provided in the room. But this little thing, of course, did not spoil our mood, especially since the hotel is a 2-minute walk to grocery and souvenir shops, where you can buy everything. At the hotel we only ate breakfast, but, unfortunately, it was very monotonous and there was little choice. We liked the hotel and we think that Emerald is a place worth returning to!

A complete fiasco with food, the restaurant is dirty and uncomfortable. Having an All Inclusive ticket, I was there several times and ate in restaurants outside the territory. The beach near the hotel is dirty and crowded, but this does not formally apply to the hotel. Well, the spirit of decadence, relaxed management and austerity hovers throughout the empty floors.

I didn’t like it: the hotel staff is busy arguing with the owners of the complex and the security, service is zero. We checked into the room, the hairdryer didn’t work - they didn’t fix it until the end of the vacation. We waited 3 days for the repairman, he came and said there was no problem replacing it, you need to pay😮, They reported that it was not the owners - the repairman had disappeared forever. The toilet broke, 4 days before departure, the repairman came (after much persuasion!), removed the part and left. Fortunately, there was a second bathroom in the room. The answer to questions about beach towels was - go ahead and buy it. In the morning you can take it from the “lifeguards” in the pool if you have time. They take out 10 or 8 pieces. That’s it! There were cockroaches in the room, we saw them twice. There is something to cook with, but there are no dishes. The pool is cleaned periodically. It’s a pity that it’s so beautiful the complex suffers from incompetent management. Breakfast is a disaster, if you are late (arrived at 9.30 for example), then sit at a dirty table. Coffee in the machine and juices, there are scrambled eggs, bacon and cheese puffs. Cucumbers, tomatoes, yogurt and bread, steam three fruits is not a fact that everything is in stock. There are not enough glasses, they give plastic ones... There was a day when there was nothing, not even coffee in the machine, they took bread and juice🙊The water runs, there is a short break (about 30 minutes, not specified break time).The road to the beach, due to the abandoned construction site in front of the complex, is provincial and dirty. On the beach, more or less. In the evenings, children and adults hang out in the yard until 2 a.m., laughing, running around. No one is looking, they fall asleep with earplugs.

We liked the cleaning lady, we were lucky with her, on the 7th floor, Emerald side. She was the only friendly one in the whole hotel, she had 2 days off and had something to compare with. The room and the sea view compensated for everything else.

. 4 nights stay, in the end there were no places (all the days we had a rest), only paid parking. We had to leave the car outside the hotel parked in the bushes. Secondly, we waited a long time at the reception, it took about an hour for us to get into the room, and there were also some disputes with the clients at the reception. When we got up to the room, we opened the door with the key, but there was no handle, inside the handles were lying on the floor and it was impossible to close the door because there were no handles. They asked me to resolve the issue or give me another number. They said they would call specialists to repair it. They came, they twisted, they twisted, they couldn’t, then they brought a grinder and started cutting.... in the end they did it, but again they lost almost an hour... and they didn’t get to the sea that day... the garbage wasn’t removed after that, but the room was very dusty, there was a lump of white hair on the towels, cotton swabs were lying around, and the trash from the toilet was not taken out before us. They asked me to do the cleaning - they said it would be done tomorrow. Ok, they took it and wiped off the dust themselves. On the second day they came supposedly with cleaning but only changed the towels, they said they didn’t do the rest. In 4 days, the towels were changed only once and that’s it... - that’s third. We left, but the garbage from the door repair remained... Fourthly - Regarding the food, the food was often repeated, the first courses were not always available at lunch, and only 1 type, suppure or okroshka...dirty pasuda, stained and covered with dried food and unpleasant smell. For some reason, on the 3rd day they decided to remove cups and glasses from the restaurant and provided thin disposable cups, in which it was not easy to drink hot coffee and even harmful, since the plastic gets hot, and there was rarely tea. Bottom line, the complex is nice, the room is nice, but the service is poor, it corresponds to 1-2 stars and it’s not clear how they got 5 stars, it happened that I was on vacation in a 3-star hotel, but the service was much better. I'm not a picky person, but as far as hygiene is concerned, everything must be clean!

Large complex, cozy garden and large swimming pools, good view, a bright room, which was what was described when booking. The staff knows Russian or at least understands English.

The attitude of the staff at the reception, they put us in a room that did not correspond to the reservation at all, the only thing was the size, the room was completely empty, there was only a kettle in the kitchen, like a joke, there were no dishes at all, no bathrobes or slippers, a safe at the reception for an extra fee. fee, there is no clothes dryer. Having contacted the reception regarding the services and room equipment, I received an answer that all the rooms are the same, there are no dishes anywhere, a safe is only for money and everything else, and cleaning services are available for an additional fee. Money. When I asked to change my room, I was refused because check-in was in the evening. The next day, my daughter and I spent a day trying to get the room that I had booked, and only thanks to a Russian girl who accidentally overheard my conversation with the administrator and asked to resolve my issue, after 16.00 I was moved to another room, the footage was much smaller, but at least there was a safe, some dishes, and a clothes dryer on the loggia. Thank you very much to the girl who helped with our issue! The food also leaves much to be desired; my daughter and I bought an all-inclusive package, ate outside the hotel, and sometimes went to breakfast! The hotel does not correspond to 5* in all categories!

“Great location, comfortable and beautiful hotel.”

Great location. 20 minutes from Burgas airport. Eight kilometers from Sunny Beach and four from the city of Nessebar (a city with a 3 thousand-year history, protected by UNESCO). Next to the hotel there is a long street with cafes, restaurants, shops, and children's attractions. A beautiful large (8 floors), but very quiet and clean hotel, with a huge territory, in the center there is a large swimming pool with a bar. There is a shop, restaurant and bar on site, with indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of greenery, lots of places to sit, there is a playground with a children's pool. There is a beautiful SPA, with a huge number of inexpensive services for every taste. Secure parking. We rested in a two-room suite (E203), when ordering it was called “two bedrooms”, as it turned out it was 2 rooms, one was a living room, in which there seemed to be a bed behind a small wall, and the second room was really a bedroom. These are apartments with two bathrooms, three air conditioners, a kitchenette (refrigerator, kettle, two-burner flat built-in stove, cups and glasses), a dining table with chairs, a sofa, an armchair, a coffee table, two TVs, two wardrobes, etc. Each balcony also has a table with chairs. Each room has access to a balcony (view of the playground and children's pool, and complete silence). The beds are wide and comfortable. The hotel is located 5 minutes from the sea, but does not have its own beach. There is a big one free beach for everyone who has all sorts of attractions.

Little entertainment for children.

Breakfast is terribly poor, at inconvenient hours only from 08.30-10.30, if you arrive at 10.00, as a rule, something is already missing, sometimes the most basic ingredients like milk or tea bags...

The hotel has wonderful apartments, well-cleaned rooms, an excellent swimming pool, and the Black Sea beach is just a 5-10 minute walk away.

As we already mentioned, Emerald Beach Resort Spa 5* is located in resort region Ravda, thirty kilometers from the famous Burgas, three kilometers from Nessebar and five kilometers from Sunny Beach. This area has good sports facilities, which may be of interest to tourists. Here you can go surfing, rowing, and water skiing. Ravda is better known as children's and youth resort. In the very center of the town there is a complex with a fitness center, post office, library, and doctor. The village gained popularity thanks to the fine sand beaches that stretch along the sea. IN summer months this place is turning into resort center, which is visited by guests from Germany, the Czech Republic, Macedonia, and Slovakia.

Ravda continues to be built to this day. Among the available hotel complexes the most famous is the Emerald Beach Resort Spa 5* hotel. Reviews about this resort are not bad; in the near future, Ravda may well become one of best places Bulgaria. In the meantime, it attracts crowds of tourists incredibly low prices to rest.

Those who do not like to spend time idly on the beach, but prefer to have an active holiday, exploring local attractions, should definitely go to Nessebar.

Ravda positions itself exclusively as a children's resort. It is for this reason that a special infrastructure was created here. For children, a holiday at the resort is a real paradise. In 2006, a water park with many attractions and entertainment was built especially for young tourists.

Local Attractions

As we have already mentioned, to enjoy the beauty of local attractions, you need to go to Nessebar - an ancient city-museum. He is still spiritual and cultural center Bulgaria. First of all, the unusual architecture of the city is striking; it was built during the National Renaissance, which was reflected in the style of the houses. In fact, the architecture of the city is the history of the entire country. In Nessebar there are a great many monasteries and churches, as well as the ancient Metropolis. The gates, remains of the fortress walls, part of the residential buildings and the city square have been preserved from the past.

Old Nessebar is simply a real miracle. A couple of centuries ago, it completely went under water; only a small piece of land remained on land (300 by 850 meters), on which all the city’s temples remained. “Underwater Nessebar” can be seen from a boat in calm weather.

The modern city is conventionally divided into two parts. Its new part includes hotels, comfortable cottages, restaurants, shops and bars. And the old one remained completely small peninsula, connected to land by a narrow isthmus. Old city has a unique atmosphere, which is achieved thanks to the presence of medieval churches, wooden houses, an ancient port and the remains of fortress walls. It is here that you can walk along the cobbled streets among the buildings of the 19th century, without noticing the time.

The ancient windmill and a Turkish bath. In addition, the city has museums: ethnographic and archaeological. In them you can see coins (4th-1st century BC), gold jewelry (4th-3rd century BC), black figured ceramics from Antiquity and the Middle Ages, Thracian stone anchors, traditional costumes and jewelry of the Bulgarians.

But among the natural attractions you can see unusual white rocks and natural sand dunes, the height of which is 7-8 meters. They create an almost fabulous landscape.

In addition to historical attractions, in Nessebar you can visit water parks and Lunapark, not to mention numerous nightclubs, restaurants and taverns. Shopping lovers will also find something to do here. There are wonderful shops and shops scattered throughout the city where you can buy not only souvenirs, but also clothes.

"Emerald" is considered the best complex in Ravda. Let's turn to the reviews of tourists to understand whether this is really so. All vacationers note the huge territory of the hotel, which is very beautiful, and also well-groomed. It's nice to just stroll along it in the evening. The hotel itself consists of a main building and several villas.

As for the rooms of the Emerald Beach Resort Spa Apartments 5*, all of them, in addition to the excellent interior design, are also quite spacious in size. Even the most modest apartments can accommodate a family. All equipment and plumbing in the rooms are in working order. Some apartments even have not one, but two large balconies. The presence of a kitchenette in the apartments deserves special attention. This is very convenient for families with small children. Of course, vacationers, as a rule, do not cook for themselves, since food in Bulgaria in any cafe is quite cheap, especially in Ravda, but you can cook something for a child, especially a small one. The only drawback of the rooms is that they have a kitchenette, but there are no dishes or pots, and the administration does not provide them. Which, in fact, is what guests are surprised by when leaving reviews. Otherwise the apartments are very good and beautiful.

The food at the hotel is good, everyone can choose dishes to their taste. If you do not want to eat at the hotel, then there will be no problems either. Located nearby a large number of local restaurants and cafes where you can eat delicious food reasonable prices. There is even a supermarket with groceries.

The hotel area is very large, but at the same time incredibly well-groomed and beautiful. The staff is friendly. As for cleaning, reviews regarding its quality are slightly different, apparently depending on who is lucky. The complex has a mini football field, tennis courts, a volleyball court, an excellent gym and even a spa. So, as tourists say, you can find interesting leisure activities.
