Kiting in Thailand. Kitesurfing in Thailand. Kiting, despite its similarities with a number of other sports, is unique in its own way. A characteristic feature is the use of a kite - a kite - as a draft force.

Evgeniy Markelov

He has caught air currents with a kite not only in Thailand, but also in Russia, Spain and the Philippines, so he can give competent advice.

Best season for kitesurfing in Pattaya - from late November to mid-March. At this time, the winds blow often, the sun shines brightly in the sky and there is no rain.

If you see kiters in wetsuits on the shore in March, it means jellyfish season has arrived. They sting on the conscience, so it’s really better not to show off in just swimming trunks.

During the rainy season it is possible to ride, but it is difficult. It all depends on how long it takes for the clouds to clear. In a good situation, you can count on a “window” of two hours. True, the wind will still be gusty and it will be difficult to straighten the kite.

What you need to know about the wind

Most often the wind is pressure (toward the shore). This is good for beginners. Only two or three days a year can you be exposed to dangerous offshore winds (squeeze). In such conditions, inexperienced athletes may be carried out to sea, and they will not be able to return if they do not yet know how to “kill themselves.” By the way, people ride in Pattaya mainly on kites measuring 12-14 meters, designed for light winds.

In kitesurfer slang there is the concept of “chop” - wind waves (waves raised by the wind). For example, in the Vietnamese resort of Mui Ne the chop is big: while you go into the sea, the wave will knock you off your feet several times. But in Pattaya the chop is small - the sea is calm and suitable for safe learning.

Professionals, as a rule, like high waves. In the first seconds, the wave twists so that it is impossible to resist, but the further from the shore, the easier it is to jump from it.

What you need to know about the sun

The main enemy of a kitesurfer is the scorching sun. Be sure to wear a hydroshirt, which will protect you from direct rays, as well as from jellyfish and dirty bags that “inhabit” the waters of Pattaya. Leave sunscreen with SPF 30 for Crimean resorts: in Pattaya, only a product with a protection level of 50-60 will help you. Generously lubricate your face and exposed areas of the body.

Where to ride

Off the coast of Pattaya, kitesurfing is officially prohibited: in the center and on Jomtien Beach, next to the “Do not litter” signs, there is a sign with a crossed out man on a board. The reason is good: if you wash up on the shore, you risk running over the heads of vacationers. And the shock power of the kite is not enough.

The ideal beach for kitesurfing should be open. Trees and high-rise buildings come close to Pattaya. When trying to launch a kite, beginners are tempted to “fly up” onto the branches.

You can officially kite ride in Pattaya only in one place - next to the hotel on a spot. Most kitesurfing schools are located here. At the disposal of athletes there is a watermaker for the kite and a shower. There are also beach boys here who will help you lift and land the kite. It is better to study and ride in hydrosneakers for the first days, so as not to injure your feet.

Where to train

If you have been snowboarding or wakeboarding, then handling a kite will be a little easier for you. If not, it's never too late to learn. True, the number of kite schools in Pattaya that operate all year round can be counted on one hand. The most famous is Blue Lagoon, where there are Russian-speaking instructors. They issue IKO certificates after completing the full training course. The rest of the schools are like snow: they appear in winter and disappear by spring. Their tuition prices are lower.

It is better to learn kitesurfing with a Russian-speaking instructor who can arrange a specific debriefing. But English is also suitable - almost all mistakes can be shown on your fingers.

Periodically in in social networks Private instructors advertise themselves - visiting kitesurfers who are not averse to earning extra money. They are more flexible than “stationary” ones: they can easily move you around a good place, if there is no wind in Pattaya. But private owners also have a number of serious disadvantages. For example, a meager selection of kites and a lack of infrastructure - showers, storage lockers, rescue boats. Although you can negotiate with the rescuers directly: if the wind suddenly subsides, they will take you to land for 150 baht.

One lesson at a kite school costs an average of 4,000 baht, a three-day course costs 11-12,000. Equipment rental will cost at least 4,000 baht, and owners are reluctant to rent. Many require an IKO certificate, which indicates your ability to handle a kite. If you want to buy a new set, get ready to shell out 50,000 baht. Used equipment can be found for 20,000.

If you have a kite, then there is wind for kitesurfing in Thailand - that’s a fact!

To confirm this, competitions such as the PKRA World Cup stage and the KTA Asian Cup stage were held here. There are also local kiteboarding competitions held annually, which are actively supported by the Thai government.

In this article we will tell you where, how and when it blows in the “land of smiles”.

Western coast of the Gulf of Thailand:

Where to go kite riding in Thailand:

Pak Nam Pran (Pranburi)

Favorite place of the famous KTA event (kite tour Asia). The place where world famous kitesurfing celebrities gather in March to compete in technical skills and height of jumps. In order to conduct qualifying races in the slalom discipline for young people throughout Azzi and Oceania for the future Olympic Games.

Spacious free beach, good wind, flat water, beauty

Som Roy Yot (Dolphin Bay)

Very flat water, low wind, beauty

Hua Hin, Cha Am

Hua Hin Beach - kite spot, overloaded

Chumphon, Prachuap Khirikan

Peculiarities: From November to January the wind blows in a northerly direction, driving up the waves. This is a strong wind, the average speed of which is 10 m/s. From February to May it blows South wind. Average speed – 7 m/s. This wind direction is accompanied by high tides and flat water. But, it should be noted that this direction does not work at all spots, for example, in Chumkhon the south wind does not blow.

So, let's go in order:

Kitesurfing in Pak Nam Pran, Thailand

There are several windy places in Thailand where you can really kitesurf in comfortable conditions.

Pak Nam Pran is best for kiting and learning to kite. There are spacious and clean beaches, restaurants on the shore, a steady wind, a reversible wake winch and a multilingual kite school that issues international certificates IKO and JollyKite.

The wind blows south in Pak Nam Pran

  • Season: November - January, February - mid-May (inclusive)
  • Best months for riding: December, March
  • 9-10 m/s (from 6 to 15 m/s)
  • Average wind speed in South: 7-8 m/s (from 5 to 14 m/s)
  • Wave to the North: 1.5 meters
  • Wave to the South: 0.1 meter (flat water)
  • Depth to North:
  • Depth to South:
  • Bottom: sand
  • Beach length: 5 km
  • Beach width: to the South – 50 meters, to the North – 20 meters
  • Traffic on the water: 1 out of 10 points
  • Beach load: 1 out of 10 points (there are no package tourists in the village, no fishing boats or anything else that could interfere with kitesurfing)
  • Hazards in the water:
  • Shore: sand

On West coast There are other spots in the Gulf of Thailand with similar conditions.

Kitesurfing in Hua Hin, Thailand

Hua Hin is located 30 km from Pak Nam Pran, so the conditions for kiting here are similar.

But unlike Pak Nam Pran, Hua Hin is big tourist town, and in connection with this, the beaches here are crowded with vacationers and various entertainment for beach holiday. Water scooters, horseback riding on the beach, water attractions, all this interferes with kitesurfing.

The beach itself in Hua Hin is wide, there are many kite stations and schools, but the wind on the city beach is as good as in Pak Nam Pran.

Cons of Hua Hin for experienced kiters and beginners

For skiers and beginner kiters, traffic on the water will be a serious problem - there are a lot of kites, water scooters, and swimming beachgoers. And on the shore there are crowds of people walking, tourists galloping on horses and sun loungers and sun umbrellas standing in 5 rows.

Horses are very cute animals, but they are unclean, and they go to the “toilet” right on the beach. So I think horses are the main problem. =)

In the Northern direction, the entire Western coast of the Gulf of Thailand is attacked by a breaking wave, which exhausts students faster than in the South wind. The water comes much closer and the beach - the area for launching and landing kites is reduced because of this.

  • Season: November - January, February - April (inclusive)
  • Best months for riding: December, March
  • Average wind speed in North: 9-10 m/s (from 6 to 15 m/s)
  • Average wind speed in South: 7-8 m/s (from 5 to 14 m/s)
  • Wave to the North: 1.5 meters
  • Wave to the South: 0.3 meter (flat water, shallow chop)
  • Depth to North: depth starts 10 meters from the beach
  • Depth to South: depth starts 100 meters from the beach
  • Bottom: sand
  • Beach length: 6 km
  • Traffic on the water: 7 out of 10 points (quite busy)
  • Beach load: 9 out of 10 points (the beach is very busy)
  • Hazards in the water: jellyfish (in the coastal waters of all Asia you can easily find jellyfish. They are found in Vietnam, the Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, China, etc. Therefore, when you go on vacation to these countries, keep in mind that it is safer to swim in leggings and lycra).
  • Shore: sand

Som Roy Yot (Dolphin Bay)

A wonderful kitesurfing beach in a small European village. It is located 20 km south of Pak Nam Pran. The north wind does not work here, the south direction works much worse than in Pak Nam Pran and Hua Hin. But from mid-January to mid-February, when there is virtually no wind along the entire West Coast, there are heavenly conditions for kiting. Perfectly flat water, kilometer-long shallow water and onshore wind. In addition to all of the above, it is very beautiful here: wild and green islands that grow out of the sea, deserted beaches, palm groves with an abundance of coconuts.

  • Season: from mid-January to mid-February
  • Average wind speed: 7 m/s
  • Wave to the South: 0 meters. Perfect surface
  • Depth: knee-deep for a kilometer
  • Bottom: sand, shells
  • Beach length: 3 km
  • Traffic on the water: 0 out of 10 points
  • Beach load: 0 out of 10 points (there are no package tourists in the village, no fishing boats or anything else that could interfere with kitesurfing)
  • Hazards in the water: jellyfish, sharp shells
  • Shore: sand

Chumkhon

For lovers of surfing and sailing. The North wind blows up a fairly large and smooth wave, so everyone who prefers to ride directional boards is welcome to this hospitable town. The south wind does not blow here due to the terrain.

  • Season: November-January
  • Best months for riding: December
  • Average wind speed in North: 10 m/s
  • Wave to the North: 2-3 meters
  • Depth to North: depth starts immediately
  • Bottom: sand
  • Beach length: 4 km
  • Traffic on the water: 6 out of 10 points
  • Beach load: 5 out of 10 points
  • Hazards in the water: jellyfish
  • Shore: sand

Kitesurfing in Thailand on the islands of Koh Phangan (Phangan), Koh Samui

Wind also appears seasonally on the islands of Koh Phangan and Koh Samui. There is much less wind there than on the Western coast of the Gulf of Thailand. This is due to the abundance of mountains that interfere with the wind, as well as the lack of suitable places to launch a kite and a corresponding lack of places to ride in most windy directions. There are kitesurfing schools there too, but without wind it’s not very easy to learn, since it’s energy-consuming for a beginner to fly and relaunch a 17-18 meter kite from the water.

  • Season: December - March
  • Best months for riding: February March
  • Average wind speed: 7 m/s (from 5 to 9 m/s)
  • Wave: flat water
  • Depth under North wind direction: depth starts immediately
  • Depth to South: at low tide the depth begins 200 meters from the beach, at high tide - immediately
  • Bottom: sand
  • Beach length:
  • 3 km at South direction wind
  • 20 meters with a North wind direction (yes, there is almost no beach!)
  • Beach width: 3 meters
  • Traffic on the water: 5 out of 10 points
  • Beach load: 5 out of 10 points
  • Hazards in the water: cone clam
  • Shore: sand

In summer, from July to September, it blows on the island of Phuket

Phuket is rich in deserted beaches, perfect for kitesurfing, but wind is rather rare on the island. It is possible to learn, but if you are short on time, most likely you will get on the board next time. In winter there is practically no wind here. The wind begins to appear in March and blows until September

  • Season: March-September
  • Best months for riding: June
  • Average wind speed: 6 m/s (from 3 to 9 m/s)
  • Wave: 0.1 meter (flat water)
  • Depth: depth starts 200 meters from the beach
  • Bottom: sand, sharp rocks in places
  • Beach length: 3 km
  • Beach width: very narrow
  • Traffic on the water: 5 out of 10 points
  • Beach load: 5 out of 10 points
  • Hazards in the water: jellyfish, stones, shells
  • Shore: sand, grass

Kitesurfing in Pattaya

No matter what your friends or internet scribblers tell you, believe me, you can kitesurf in Pattaya. It blows in winter with varying degrees of success, but still.

  • Season: December - April
  • Best months for riding: March
  • Average wind speed: 6 m/s (from 5 to 7 m/s)
  • Wave: 0.5 meters (chop)
  • Depth: depth starts 50 meters from the beach
  • Bottom: sand
  • Beach length: 5 km
  • Beach width: very narrow
  • Traffic on the water: 4 out of 10 points
  • Beach load: 4 out of 10 points

This place is just a paradise for extreme tourist, respecting beach holidays.

In addition, the island offers various entertainment events throughout the year, for example, the most famous are the Vegetarian Festival and the King's Cup Regatta.

Of course, one of the highlights of a holiday in this country is the cuisine. Phuket, with its huge number of restaurants, is one of the best places in Thailand. There you will be offered both international cuisine and incredibly colorful Thai food.

On the island, unlike kitesurfing spots, there are many lively bars where you can find both the most inexpensive and very sophisticated expensive drinks and cocktails. In the evenings they always organize colorful shows, performances and live music.

Kitesurfing in Thailand is very developed, contrary to many opinions that you can only lie on the beach and have fun. From May to October it is either very rainy or there are short periods of rain. Average season good wind The period from November to April is considered, with only slight differences at different points.

The main infrastructure for kiting and windsurfing in Thailand is in East Coast Gulf of Thailand. About 500 km of road from Bangkok along any route you like, taking into account the amount of money and time spent on the road - and you are there.

Cha Am and Hua Hin

A place on the shore of the Gulf of Thailand, opposite the shore of Pattaya. It is located a three hour drive from the capital Bangkok on the Phuket side. You can get there by taxi, bus or train. In this case, a taxi can be found right at the airport by calling Hua Hin. The cost should be around 2000 baht.

The spot is suitable for both beginners and experienced surfers, kite surfers and windsurfers.

Hua Hin is mainly a kite locality; there are few skiers here, which cannot be said about tourists and vacationers. An alternative name for the place is Kiteboarding Asia (the abbreviation KBA will take you to the required spot). The beach itself is sandy, there are no stones. Rainy and calm from May to November. From March to May comes the most best time for the trip.

If Hua Hin is more of a resort with a concentration of restaurants, bars and shops, then Cha Am is often chosen by lovers of tranquility. There is 5 km of beach and very few people. From mid-February to the end of April there is always a wind blowing at size 10-16 domes, this place is ideal for training during this period. From November to January, the wind becomes less strong, but more stable, especially in the mornings. During this season, there can be quite large waves, despite the relative calm of the bay.

Skating and training are carried out on the main beach of the city of Cha Am, the school and station are located north of it. There are many options for accommodation. The nature in these places is very beautiful, the beach is sandy, and the depth is waist-deep: very comfortable conditions for beginners, without the risk of injury.

Pranburi

This is a very good place for both windsurfers and kiters, of any level of training. The bottom is made of sand, the winds are not very strong and occur only from January to March. But there are not very many people. The spot is located on the coast of the town of Pran Buri, south along the coast from the above-mentioned Cha Am and not far from Hua Hin. It blows here, as a rule, in the afternoon and evening. As night approaches, it’s time for parties, of which there are a great many here. The developed infrastructure will definitely not let you get bored if there is no wind.

Koh Samui

This island in the Gulf of Thailand, which is still trying to preserve the paradise of unspoiled Thailand, offers many ways to get there. This can be done by plane from Bangkok, flights are daily, several times a day. There is also air service between the island and the islands of Singapore and Krabi, as well as the cities of Pattaya and Bangkok.

For those who want to save money and spend 800 baht on their trip from Bangkok to the island, there is the opportunity to skip additional flights and take a train or bus.

The train comes either from Bangkok or from Malaysia; you must leave from the main station of the capital. It is better to buy tickets of class A or B, since class C is absolutely “Thai”. You need to buy a ticket to the Surat Thani station, then you can transfer to the ferry, which is in the neighboring town of DonSak, from its port ferries depart to all nearby islands.

If you choose a bus, it leaves either from Khao San Road - a famous street in Bangkok - or from the Southern Bus Station, daily at 6 pm. If you buy bus tickets from local travel agencies scattered near the station, then immediately buy a “package”, that is, a bus and ferry ticket to Koh Islands Samui. It will be even cheaper and much more convenient, everything will be booked for you, you just need to show your passport. Keep in mind that if you leave Bangkok at 6 pm, you will only be at the ferry in the morning.

It's better to go for a ride southeast coast, it is deserted and free of resorts and tourists. There is also a local school, the infrastructure is well established.

When the wind starts to blow, this lagoon is ideal both for students and for lovers of an excellent wind wave that rises 700 meters from the shore, above the reef. This reef, in turn, protects the lagoon from strong winds and the surface of the water remains mirror-like. There is also a sandy bottom, an average speed wind of sizes 10-12 and smooth water.

This spot is popular only among kiters; no one does windsurfing here. This place is located within the boundaries of Samui Orchid Resort. There are always few people here, there are practically no tourists, an excellent deserted place on the outskirts. There are also spots for skiing in the area, but more for experienced kiters - the reef there is large and quite dangerous for beginners.

It is better to come here from January, since in November and December it is rainy on the island, despite the fact that 200 km to the north, in the Chumphon area, it is dry, sunny and cool at this time.

Chumphon

Chumphon is one of the most popular places in Thailand for both kitesurfing and windsurfing. This one is located popular resort on the coast between the above-mentioned cities of Cha Am and Hua Hin in the north and Surat Thani in the south. It should be open there now local airport, however, the distance is not that far, so there are several options for not taking the extra flight.

You can speed up your trip as much as possible by taking a plane to the town of Surat Thani, which will take about 30 minutes. They leave there every hour minibuses to Chumphon, you will have to travel 2-3 hours back to the north.

It is worth noting the excellent bus and train connections between cities and resort points of the country. You can get to Chumphon without any problems or difficulty in either one or the other, regardless of where exactly in Thailand you are located. this moment. It takes about seven and a half hours to get from the capital.

If you are interested in a bus from Bangkok, then you need to buy a ticket for it and get on at Southern Bus Station. The bus leaves every day at 9 and 11 am, then at 2 pm and in the evening at 21.30 (Choke Anan company). From the popular Bangkok street Khao San Road, there are also many buses from various bus carriers: Songserm, Lomprayah, Sea Tran. Any of them will take you to Chumphon relatively quickly, inexpensively and conveniently. The port of this city is an ideal starting point for those traveling further, with ferries and speedboats departing from there to and from the islands: Koh Samui, Koh Tao, Koh Phang Ngan.

When planning a trip, it is worth considering the fact that traveling around this country by ferry or boat is much more pleasant, and Chumphon is the closest point of departure for transport to the islands to the capital of the country. But if you have a flight booked from Bangkok to Surat Thani, then, of course, there is no point in going back to Chumphon and then taking a ferry or boat. It is much more convenient to travel a short distance from the city of Surat Thani to the port in the town of Don Sak. From its ferry terminal there are stable and always scheduled flights to all the nearest islands. When you get to Chumphon, tell any taxi driver or driver the name TUNG WAI LAEN, and they will definitely understand you.

Chumphon is a sandy spot for confident riders. The winds blow there are of medium strength, for kites of sizes 10-14, sometimes you may need kites smaller than 10 meters. This spot is best suited for skiing in November and December - it rains south of this place, but here it is quite sunny, dry and cool. As a rule, it blows in the morning and afternoon, and in the evening you can successfully enjoy resort life and the light, not overloaded atmosphere of the city of Chumphon.

Thailand and Vietnam for kite and recreation

Thailand and Vietnam are certainly two of the most interesting and picturesque Asian pearls, with a rich and completely different history, which makes the people and customs there completely different. Contrary to rumors, there is wind in Thailand and the conditions for kite riding are in no way inferior to those in Vietnam.

There are many misconceptions in our lives that have already been imposed on us, and therefore we sometimes find ourselves in the wrong place and in the wrong conditions. Now we will talk about kiting and holidays in Vietnam, Mui Ne and Thailand Pak Nam Pran.

Why have few people heard about the village of Pak Nam Pran and about kiting in Thailand? And how did it happen that tourists from the CIS countries flooded the fishing village in Mui Ne?

It’s just that there are a lot more charter flights and more package tours, and our brother is being attracted there. Perhaps you would have ended up in one of the best places in the world to learn kiting - Thailand, Pak Nam Pran, but to get there you would have had to come across this article earlier.

Call or write to us and we will advise you:

  1. We will help you buy plane tickets cheaper than on websites, we have a magic spell
  2. We will teach you kiting in Thailand
  3. We will book or help you rent accommodation in Pak Nam Pran

Kite in Thailand, Pak Nam Pran and kitesurfing in Vietnam, Mui Ne

Many people have heard that Vietnam, Mui Ne is the Mecca of kitesurfing, one of the best places in the world to learn kitesurfing, this has been written about in various media and holiday magazines. The truth is that riding in Mui Ne is really cool, fun and exciting. Strong wind, a big wave, good depth. So it’s no wonder what attracts experienced riders to Mui Ne. However, for beginner kitesurfers this spot is more like off-piste skiing among rocks in an avalanche-prone area.

Or, for example, few people have heard about the wonderful city or the cozy village of Pak Nam Pran in nature reserve Thailand. And, by the way, two last beach ideal for beginners and those who have just started on the bright path of kiting.

But now we will talk about Vietnam Mui Ne

and about Thailand, Pak Nam Pran...

Kitesurfing training in Thailand, Pak Nam Pran and kite training Vietnam, Mui Ne

The first part of the kite season in Pak Nam Pran is not comfortable for beginners, and we do not recommend this time for the first steps in kiting.

Why? Although the wave is smaller than in Mui Ne, it is there and you will have to start on the board 100 meters from the shore, because there the wave will not close, the wind is of medium strength, so for training it is again better than in Mui Ne when you are torn apart on a small kite, sharp as a mad fly, which every now and then abruptly pulls you out of the water and tries to break the student in half.

These unfavorable conditions in Thailand will last from mid-November until the tenth of January. Then the wind will begin to twist and finally, from mid-February, luxurious riding conditions and kite training will delight all guests.

In the wind, the nets don’t disappear anywhere, and the normal comfortable wind starts from 10-12 o’clock and lasts up to an hour or two, and then it intensifies to the point of impossibility; unfortunately, the wind on the main beach begins to blow relatively evenly only in January. Until this time, the wind, on top of everything else, is also very ragged - now it’s not blowing, but now the boards have flown and are blowing people away.

How to get to Pak Nam Pran, Thailand? And how to get to Mui Ne, Vietnam?

The convenience of transfer from Ho Chi Minh City airport and the airport in Bangkok is approximately the same, the difference is that in Bangkok you take the bus at the airport, and in Ho Chi Minh City you must first get to the bus stop. And it’s a little closer to get to Pak Nam Pran than to Mui Ne

Kitesurfing Thailand, Pak Nam Pran

Quiet, calm fishing village with a huge sandy beach,

and little traffic on the roads. You will always get an excellent moped for rent here.

The Thais, either because of their nature or because of Buddhism, are very friendly, smiling and kind people.

Of course in tourist places like Pattaya, you can stumble upon an unscrupulous person, but not here.

Delicious Thai food in local restaurants. Seafood, Tom Yum, Tom Ka, Fried rice in all forms, etc.

There are two wind directions: north and south. From January 10-15 to mid-February, the wind changes direction. Of course, you can try to catch the wind, but there is a chance of windlessness.

During north wind the beaches are not large, but there is always a place to launch, the waves are not big. And when the wind blows from the South, shallows are formed, sand spits and the depth goes quite far from the shore, the water becomes almost flat, so you can train in shallow water while standing knee-deep or waist-deep in water, and not have to fight the breaking waves.

On the entire 4 km long coastline, sometimes you can count 20 kites, but mostly even less. that is, traffic on the water is minimal, there are practically no beachgoers on the shore.

There are no nets, but there is one boat on a five-kilometer beach.

The nearest city of Hua Hin is 25 km from the village where you can find everything your heart desires and by the way Hua Hin is considered the most calm city in Thailand in terms of crime, what can we say about the village of Pak Nam Pran.

Kitesurfing Vietnam, Mui Ne

Fishing village with big amount hotels on the shore, and very heavy traffic on the roads, has long become a summer cottage for tourists from the CIS countries, since it is always easy to find a tour there for adequate money.

Delicious but specific Vietnamese food (crocodile with various sauces and various tasty “FO”)

One main thing East direction winds with an average force of 7 to 19 m/s the wind begins to blow from the end of November and blows until mid-April, at the beginning and end of the season the wind is weaker, but it is still possible to ride and learn

A large breaking wave with a length of 70 meters, which a student needs to get the hang of passing, so it won’t be easy for a student, an experienced kiter, to go through this surf for the first time

A bunch of beachgoers fighting the breaking waves in an attempt to get into the sea

The beach at some hotels is quite large, but in some places there is none at all.

Traffic on the water is heavy, about 80 kites on the water per season, students mixed with skiers and vacationers.

The problem with theft, especially of bikes and kite boards, is to always be on the lookout.

Recently I visited Mui Ne again, the problem of helmet theft is even more pressing, do not forget to either fasten them or take them with you.

Another scourge of Vietnam, fishing nets, sometimes the control strips and students get tangled there.

Although they say that the fishing nets have been removed, some of the beaches near the shore are fenced off with even more dangerous nets overgrown with shells. And if you are unlucky and caught in the net, you will be all cut up. And fishing nets also appear from time to time.
