Transfer Fly&Bus “Victory. Airport Bus stop Central stadium "Hrazdan" - Yerevan Yerevan central stadium

What to do if your flight is canceled

If a flight is canceled more than 24 hours before departure, passengers will be transferred to similar airline flights. The carrier bears the costs; the service is free for the passenger. If you are not satisfied with any of the options offered by the airline, most airlines can issue an “involuntary return.” Once confirmed by the airline, the money will be returned to your account. Sometimes this can take several weeks.

How to check in at the airport

Online check-in is available on most airline websites. Most often it opens 23 hours before the start of the flight. You can go through it no later than 1 hour before the plane departs.

To check in at the airport you will need:

    • identification document specified in the order,
    • birth certificate when flying with children,
    • printed itinerary receipt (optional).
  • What can you take on a plane?

Carry-on luggage is the items you will take with you into the cabin. Weight norm hand luggage can vary from 5 to 10 kg, and its size most often should not exceed the sum of three dimensions (length, width and height) from 115 to 203 cm (depending on the airline). A handbag is not considered hand luggage and is carried freely.

The bag you take with you on the plane should not contain knives, scissors, medicines, aerosols, or cosmetics. Alcohol from stores duty free can only be transported in sealed packages.

How to pay for luggage at the airport

If the weight of luggage exceeds the standards established by the airline (most often 20-23 kg), you need to pay for each kilogram of excess. In addition, many Russian and foreign airlines, as well as low-cost airlines, have tariffs that do not include free transportation baggage and must be paid separately as an additional service.

Baggage must be checked in at the airport at a separate counter. Drop-off registration. If you are unable to print boarding pass, you can get it at the regular airline check-in counter, and check in and drop off your luggage there.

Where to find out the arrival time if you are a greeter

You can find out the plane's arrival time on the airport's online board. The Tutu.ru website has an online display of the main Russian and foreign airports.

You can find out the exit number (gate) on the arrivals board at the airport. This number is located next to the incoming flight information.

Almost every year the number of travelers wishing to explore the natural and historical values located in the capital of Armenia, Yerevan, increases. Which, strictly speaking, is not at all surprising, because this wonderful country was able to preserve for us many valuable historical monuments, and a warm welcome local residents will certainly please everyone without exception.

Model of the old airport

It is much easier and more convenient for Russian travel lovers to get to Armenia by using the services of air carriers. After all, it is the plane that will deliver its passengers to the territory of the ancient country in a short period. Zvartnots Airport of Armenia welcomes its guests. Its IATA code is EVN. History of the development of the air harbor

The air pier began its history in the distant 70s of the last century. At that time, the government of the Soviet Union decided to organize competitive tours, the essence of which was to find the best project for a new air complex. Initially, the architects presented the project in the form of a three-dimensional, slightly elongated structure. However, having started actual work, it was decided to use a completely new project - a round terminal.

Construction work was carried out in short terms. The unusually designed airline complex, which was given a name consonant with the famous Yerevan temple, began serving its first passengers in 1980. The cargo terminal was built and put into operation 8 years later.

In 2001, by order of the Armenian government, it was decided to lease the air terminal to Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 for 30 years. At the beginning of 2014, construction began on a new terminal for service international flights, which began its work in 2017.

Air harbor today

The only civilian air terminal of the Armenian Republic is the Zvartnots air complex. The old terminal, as we noted earlier, has a round shape that looks like alien saucers. You can see the photo below.

The size of the base corresponds to the area of 2 football fields. In the center of the terminal there is a room in which the dispatch service and a modern restaurant operate. The above premises have panoramic windows overlooking the runway.

The old aviation complex was deservedly considered the real pride of the ancient republic. However, the current owners were still forced to decide to close it in 2011 and build a new terminal in close proximity to the old one.

Put into operation new terminal succeeded just in time for the 20th anniversary of the independence of the Armenian Republic. Official website of Yerevan Airport:www.zvartnots.am, which anyone can visit at any time. By checking the online scoreboard of Yerevan Airport, passengers will be able to know exactly whether the required plane is departing on time or how much the flight is delayed.

When creating a new terminal, the architects wanted to create a structure that has no analogues. And they certainly managed to turn their idea into reality. After all, the first impression that everyone gets when entering a new airport– a feeling of unprecedented volume and space.

Such impressions are created thanks to the unusual walls and roof, which it was decided to build from a durable glass base. When designing the aircraft complex, all previously approved international standards were taken into account. Therefore, passengers will be able to take advantage of a full range of services that will help make their waiting time more comfortable and convenient. The pier is only 10 km away from the central part of the Armenian capital.

For those arriving at the Yerevan air harbor for the first time, it will not be difficult to get to the center of Yerevan. Moreover, everyone can independently choose the most suitable method for themselves:

  1. On regular bus No. 1, in 35-40 minutes passengers will be able to find themselves within the city limits. For a ticket you need to pay 0.5 dollars or 250 drams (local Armenian currency). The first bus leaves the route at 7:30 am, and the last one at 18:00.
  2. On minibus No. 107, which starts at 8 a.m. and ends at 8 p.m., can get you to the city for about the same price.
  3. For those who value a comfortable ride, a taxi is ideal. You can order a car in advance by visiting the official website of the airline complex, or at a special parking lot located near the exit from the terminal. The duration of the trip can vary from 20 to 35 minutes depending on where in the city you need to get to. The cost of the service includes getting into the car, estimated at approximately 420 drams, and payment for each kilometer (approximately 220 drams).

To summarize, the following can be noted: Zvartnots Airport of Armenia is a modern aviation complex that provides its customers with a full range of services. And this fact is confirmed by the well-deserved title of “Best air berth Baltic and CIS", awarded to the airport in 2013.

The Republican Stadium of Yerevan is one of the most multi-purpose and universal stadiums in Armenia. Its construction began in 1937 and was completed by the end of 1938. Many of the façade details were added after World War II. Its original name was “Dynamo”, but after Armenia gained independence, the stadium was renamed “Hanrapetakan”. In 1995, renovation of the stadium began, which was supposed to be completed soon, but since there were not enough funds, the renovation dragged on until 1999.

In 1999, after Prime Minister Vazgen Sargsyan was assassinated, the stadium was renamed in honor of this politician. The UEFA Executive Committee took part in financing the repairs, allocating three million dollars. In 2000, the stadium was restored. In 2008, improvements were made, namely the lawn surface was changed and a VIP box was added.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, local football clubs and the Armenian national team played games at the stadium. In 1990, the football cup final was held at this stadium. Over the years, the stadium deteriorated slightly and in 2002 it was partially restored. Initially, the stadium accommodated 76,000 spectators, but after renovation it could accommodate only 60,000 spectators.
