Where is the airport in Simferopol?

Simferopol airport has a very convenient location. It is located quite far outside the city - in the urban-type settlement of Aeroflotsky, but getting to it is not at all difficult, because it is only 12 km away from the center. The most convenient way to travel this route is by Aeroexpress. Buses and trolleybuses united by this brand depart to the city around the clock with an interval of 10 minutes.

History and infrastructure

Simferopol Airport begins its history back in 1936, when, by decision of the USSR Council of Ministers, land was allocated for the construction of an airfield, which soon began to receive flights from Moscow.

In 1957, an air terminal was built here and a dirt runway equipped with signal lights was created. The first concrete runway appeared in 1960. Interestingly, in the mid-80s. The air harbor was chosen as a reserve for the landing of the Buran space shuttles. Special sizes for them runway were increased to 3700 m. In May 2015, it was reconstructed and now meets international standards. Today, another terminal and runway are being built, which is scheduled to be completed by May 2018.

Today, the Simferopol airport complex includes two terminals, one of which receives Aeroflot aircraft flying domestic and international flights, and the second serves other Russian carriers. The building also houses a comfortable VIP room and a mother and child room. Passengers are prepared to be fed in several cafes. There are shops and airline representative offices in the departure areas, and operator outlets in the arrivals areas. mobile communications, information desk and taxi ordering points. IN walking distance is located at 35 rooms. Cargo transshipment is carried out in a special terminal.

The administration of the complex makes every effort to make it more comfortable. All conditions have been created here to serve passengers with disabilities. There are special counters for registering children's groups.

Destinations served

Today, Simferopol Airport is one of the most dynamically developing transport hubs in the country. In 2016, it served more than 5.2 million passengers, carried 14 Russian airlines. Constant flights have been established with 9 cities Russian Federation. During the holiday season, 15 more destinations are being added, making direct flights available to residents of the most different regions Russia. Here are the main departure points:

Price levels are affected by seasonality, but they remain quite affordable for most Russians. You can save additional money if you buy air tickets in advance and pay for the round trip trip at once.

Simferopol Airport is the main air gate of Crimea (and not only air gates - on at the moment Most tourists get to the peninsula by plane). Launched in April 2018 new terminal airport terminal, and this created new difficulties with tourist transfers. In this article we will tell you how terminal 1 of the airport in Simferopol works, as well as ways to get to different cities Crimea with bus schedules and ticket prices.

The new airport terminal in Simferopol opened its doors to guests of the peninsula on April 16, 2018. On the same day, he took board for the first time from the mainland. The facility was built in two years, and 32 billion rubles were spent on its construction.

The need to update the Simferopol airport has been obvious since 2014, when in just one year the old terminal had to serve 2.8 million people, and a year later the flow of passengers increased to 5 million people. Of course, the old terminal was reconstructed and enlarged throughput two and a half times, and when this did not help, it was decided to build a new terminal building. And now the new terminal will be able to serve 3,650 passengers per hour, which will amount to 6.5 million people per year.

By the way, the new terminal is located quite far from the old one. It is located 6 kilometers from the village of Ukromnoye. Getting here from the old terminal by public transport takes about 10 minutes. Here new airport"Simferopol" on the map:

How the new terminal of the Simferopol airport is equipped: photos and videos

Simferopol Airport is now modern not only in technical terms, but also in design. Externally the building looks like huge wave(one of its “folk” names sounds exactly like this - “Volna” airport in Simferopol). Simferopol airport has already been dubbed the most modern and stylish in Russia. The floor in the exit areas is reminiscent of the relief of Crimea, which, according to the architect’s plan, sets a person up for relaxation from the very first minutes. One wall with an area of 1600 sq. m is decorated with a beautiful composition of artificial and living plants, and in one of the passenger seating areas there is a large map peninsulas of colored moss. This is the largest installation in Europe. In the near future, a hotel, a conference center and a park with an artificial lake will be built next to the terminal building.

In our gallery you can see photos of the new airport in Simferopol. In the meantime, here's a video from the opening:

Advantages of the new terminal compared to the old one: why it is now more convenient to fly in and out of Crimea

The designers of the new terminal have thought through everything possible for the convenience of passengers.

  • The most important thing for vacationers is to minimize the time spent on the flight. And if it took 15-20 minutes to travel from the old terminal to the runway, now this time will be reduced to several minutes. For the convenience of passengers, there are 8 boarding bridges and 8 exits to buses, in addition, 55 check-in counters have been organized.
  • To differentiate flows and reduce boarding time for pedestrians and different types There are separate lanes for transport, and there are two parking lots for buses on different sides of the terminal. One works for the arrivals hall, the other for the departures hall.
  • Now you can get to the sea faster, because the Tavrida highway is connected to the airport, you can go around Simferopol along it, saving up to an hour and a half of time.
  • Receiving luggage in the old terminal was a problem, but now there are five baggage carousels with a total length of two kilometers, which guarantees the receipt of five thousand pieces of luggage per hour simultaneously from 25 flights.
  • The last floor of the airport terminal is occupied by a terrace with views of the mountains and the runway. Access to this site is open to everyone.
  • There are 16 escalators and 28 elevators, restaurants and cafes inside the building fast food, two bank branches, a beauty salon and a pharmacy.

Scheme of the new terminal of the Simferopol airport

The building has four floors:

  • On the ground floor there are flight check-in and information desks, an arrivals hall, elevators and escalators.
  • The second floor is occupied by a VIP room, a common waiting room area, and a mother and child lounge.
  • The third floor houses the veterinary control service, inspection rooms and the aircraft boarding area.
  • The fourth floor is given over to a children's playground, a business room and a terrace with wonderful view to the mountains.

Where to park a car at Simferopol airport, parking cost

Short-term and long-term parking is available near the terminal; in May, the payment will be: for short-term parking - 100 rubles per hour and the first 15 minutes free, for long-term parking - 600 rubles for the first day, 500 rubles for the second, and then 100 rubles per day. It is possible that the airport management will soon raise prices. VIP passengers have separate parking and entrance to the terminal building.

How to get to and from Simferopol airport by public transport

The new terminal of the Simferopol airport was opened only in April, so for now tourists (and residents of the peninsula) can easily get confused about how to leave the airport terminal.

Please note: public transport runs to both the new and old terminals, but planes arrive and depart only from the new one. The bus station continues to operate in the old terminal. Most buses leaving the bus stations of Crimean cities arrive here. To get from the old terminal to the new one, you need to take bus number 77, it runs every 10 minutes. You can also use the services of taxi drivers - they will take you there for 100-150 rubles. We do not recommend walking - the distance is very long.

So, let’s list what public transport is available in the new terminal of Simferopol Airport.

  • You can get to the new terminal by city trolleybus No. 17, night express train No. 20 (from the railway station).
  • Buses No. 49 (from Maryino) and No. 49-A (from Trenev Park) run from here.
  • Fly&Bus buses run from the square in front of the airport, which will deliver arriving passengers to any city in Crimea according to a convenient schedule, which was compiled taking into account arriving flights.

Now let's look at each option in more detail.

Where can I get from the new airport terminal by trolleybus?

There are two trolleybus routes from the new terminal:

  • No. 17 “Khoshkeldy - Airport”: service interval is 15-30 minutes, open from 5.16 to 22.15. This way you will be able to get to Simferopol: the bus will travel through almost half the city. But there will be no calls at the railway station or bus station.
  • No. 20 " Railway station“Airport” is an exclusively night way of transportation: from the railway station - at 00.54 and 2.00, from the new terminal - at 00.00 and 2.45, from the old terminal - at 1.24 (although they promise that in the summer the number of flights will be increased).

Attention: routes from the old terminal.

One of the attractions of Crimea was the unique trolleybus routes connecting Simferopol, Alushta and Yalta. Fortunately, they have been preserved - although they now depart from the old terminal. Let us remind you that it is very easy to get here from the new Simferopol airport - just take bus number 77.

So, if you want to get to the resorts of Crimea by trolleybus, having enjoyed beautiful views, remember the numbers:

  • No. 54 “Airport – Alushta”,
  • No. 55 “Airport – Yalta”.

By the way, other trolleybuses also go from here: No. 9 to the City Hospital.

How to leave terminal 1 of the airport in Simferopol by bus?

There are two buses from the new terminal to Simferopol:

  • No. 49 to Maryino. He also stops by the railway station. Opening hours - from 06.00 to 23.30. The movement interval is about 20 minutes.
  • No. 49-A to the park named after. Treneva. This night route. He travels from 22.00 to 05.00. The movement interval is 60 minutes.

Attention: routes from the old terminal .

Once you reach the old terminal, you can catch a lot more buses!

First of all - urban routes public transport. Buses run from the old terminal of Simferopol airport:

No. 97 – to the Pnevmatiki microdistrict (stops at the railway station);

No. 98 - to st. Kantar in the village of Fontany (stops at the railway station);

No. 100 - to the village of Kamenka.

But the main thing is that from the old terminal you can quickly and inexpensively get to almost any settlement Crimea! You can buy tickets directly on the spot.

Important lifehack! You can get to some cities by transit buses! For example, all flights leaving the airport to Sevastopol pass through Bakhchisarai (until the Tavrida highway is ready). Check with the operator - it may be possible to get to your city on indirect flights. It is also possible to travel cheaply with transfers - for example, from Sevastopol to Balaklava, and from Yalta to Alupka and other cities Big Yalta Buses run regularly.

A new way to leave the airport - Fly&Bus express bus

Especially for the new terminal of Simferopol Airport, a new method of transportation was introduced in 2019 - Fly&Bus express autos. This is the official carrier of Simferopol airport. By bus you can get to the following settlements:

  • Alushta;
  • With. Kiparisnoye, stop complex “Kiparisnoye village”;
  • Gurzuf, stopping complex “Krasnokamenka village”;
  • Yalta;
  • Livadia;
  • Gaspra;
  • Koreiz;
  • Simeiz;
  • Sevastopol;
  • Saki;
  • Saki, sanatorium "Poltava-Crimea";
  • Evpatoria;
  • Evpatoria, sanatorium "Golden Coast";
  • Evpatoria, sanatorium "Tavria".

The main advantage of such a transfer is simplicity. Buses arrive on platforms near the new terminal of Simferopol airport; you do not have to make transfers or go to the old terminal. Fly&Bus buses are equipped with air conditioning, so the trip will be pleasant. You can book tickets in advance - and if your flight is postponed or delayed, they will be exchanged for you without any problems. There are also disadvantages - first of all, the price. A ticket will cost at least 400 rubles. This is twice as expensive as if you come to the bus or train station in Simferopol or the old terminal and take tickets to the bus station of the desired city from there. But, nevertheless, this method of transfer is many times more profitable than a taxi.

Important: most likely the situation is summer months will be corrected, however, as of May 2019, it was not possible to leave the new airport in Simferopol on all flights stated in the Fly&Bus bus schedule. Apparently, if there are few passengers on arriving flights, buses depart less often.

How expensive is it to take a taxi from Simferopol airport?

On average, prices are 5-10 times higher than if you travel by bus (depending on the remoteness of the destination city). Unfortunately, taxi drivers at the new Simferopol airport terminal are very intrusive and do not always tell the truth (for example, they claim that the next bus will be many hours later). That is why our advice is to book a taxi in advance for the required time or call it once you are already at the airport.

Uber and other taxi services that you are most likely used to using in your city do not operate in Crimea. You will have to use the services of local services, which in the vast majority do not have mobile applications.

We list the most reliable taxi services in Crimea:

  • UP-taxi: +7 978 700‑04-01;
  • Taxi Simferopol: +7 978 139-43-03;
  • Taxi Crimea: +7 978 209-09-19;
  • Crimea Taxi: +7 978 215-58-48.

The best way to get to any city in Crimea from Simferopol airport

Most cheap way leave the new terminal of the Simferopol airport to any city in Crimea - by bus or trolleybus. The trip will cost 200-500 rubles. There is only one “but”: you will have to make several transfers. So, first you need to get to the old terminal, and then get on the right bus there. If there are no buses from the old terminal to your locality, we recommend taking a bus from the new terminal to the railway or bus station in Simferopol. These are full-fledged transport centers, from where buses go to any city in Crimea.

The best way for tourists who do not want to make transfers is Fly&Bus buses. Tickets can be booked online or purchased on site (the ticket office is located in the baggage claim area). The trip will cost more, but you won’t have to change several vehicles with your suitcases.

Where does Crimea begin? For more than 5 million people a year, Crimea begins at Simferopol Airport, where planes fly in from all over Russia. Quite recently, a new terminal opened in Simferopol. Of course, I followed the progress of construction and could not miss such an event and hurried to visit the new modern air terminal complex. The building surprised and pleasantly surprised.
Now I’m ready to talk in detail about the newest airport complex in Russia.

The new terminal is located several kilometers away, and was catastrophically unable to cope with the sharply increased passenger traffic even after reconstruction and the construction of additional terminals. In 2015, it was decided to build a new modern terminal from scratch. The new terminal complex is capable of serving 3,625 passengers per hour and 6.5 million passengers per year.

Leading international agencies were involved in creating the concept of the airport terminal; a competition was announced, which was won by one of the world's leading architectural companies Samoo Architects & Engineers from South Korea, related to Samsung. Inspired by nature Crimean peninsula, the designers took the image of the sea as the main idea, calling the project “Crimean Wave”.

The concept turned out to be very unusual; the terminal building has curved contours on all sides except the ends, where space is left for expanding the terminal. The new terminal of Simferopol Airport does not have a constant height. It ranges from 25 to 35 meters at different points.

The history of design and construction turned out to be very fascinating and reads like a science fiction story, adjusted for the fact that everything has already been implemented, and at a very short terms and from materials predominantly of domestic production. Design work based on the chosen concept was also carried out by Russian companies.
The main stages of construction are shown in small exhibition, located directly in the terminal.

When designing the new terminal of Simferopol Airport, the greatest attention was paid to the safety of the structure. The building is not only beautiful and functional, it is also earthquake-resistant. In addition, the roof is designed and installed in such a way that the accumulation of storm and melt water on its surface is excluded.

To create a unique silhouette of the new airport complex, reminiscent of the “Crimean wave,” more than 5,700 tons of metal structures were installed and 136 unique curved columns up to 35 meters high were erected. It is thanks to them that the unique silhouette of the “Crimean wave” is formed.

Also, 24 round support columns with a diameter of 1 m were installed on the side of the main facade, on which the rafter and sub-rafter trusses of the roof of the building rest, the span of which is 63 meters.
The glazing of the new terminal is as unique as the entire building. A total of 130 stained glass windows consisting of 9 thousand unique double-glazed windows were installed.

I suggest taking a walk around the Simferopol airport. Unusual details appear already at the entrance to the airport. Pay attention to this bus, in fact, it is not a bus, but a trolleybus. The new terminal is served by trolleybuses that are capable of moving autonomously for part of the route.

The areas near the airport are organized taking into account the characteristics of Crimea as largest resort. Parking lots for buses where they arrive and depart organized groups tourists are located under canopies separately from other transport.

Let's go inside. The airport complex amazes with its size and spaciousness. It has everything that modern airports should have.

I would like to note that the prices are quite humane compared to other airports. Packing luggage costs 200 rubles, which is several times cheaper than at the airports of the Moscow air hub.

The new airport complex has 28 elevators and 16 escalators for the convenience of passengers. The vast majority of elevators are designed as an element of a barrier-free environment that meets the needs of visitors who have difficulty moving independently: passengers with strollers, passengers with disabilities health, older people.

The building is controlled using automated system building management (BMS). It allows for operational monitoring, remote control and management of all engineering equipment of the terminal from a single dispatch center. The normal operating mode of the system is automatic. The automated control system provides control in automatic and manual modes of the following technological subsystems: ventilation and air conditioning, heat supply and hot water supply, domestic drinking water supply and sewerage, power supply and electric lighting, vertical transport (elevators and escalators), fire protection system.

Navigation for Simferopol Airport was developed by Artemy Lebedev Studio. Navigation features: maximum characters and minimum text. It turned out somewhat unusual, but overall it was intuitive.

There are 55 passenger and baggage check-in counters at Simferopol Airport. Of these, 52 racks are ordinary, and 3 are designed for oversized luggage.

The oversized baggage counters are located right in the “green wall”, which is a special point of pride for the airport.

The area of the “green wall” is about 1600 m². This structure is the largest plant wall in Europe located inside a building.
The “Green Wall” consists of living and artificial parts. At the same time, the height of the living part is 5 meters, the artificial part is 10 meters. In total, the structure is 15 meters high and 110 meters wide, which is comparable to the size of a five-story building.

The wall consists of decorative deciduous and ampelous plants, such as ferns, arrowroots, philodendrons and epipremnums. Once you move a few meters away, it is impossible to distinguish between artificial and real plants.

In total, more than 30 thousand plants are located inside the airport building.

About 2,000 people work at Simferopol Airport; by the beginning of the spring-summer season, this figure will increase to 2,100 people. The enterprise is a city-forming enterprise for the city and nearby villages.

The new terminal of Simferopol Airport has a wide network of fast food cafes. For those who have a large number free time there are full-service restaurants with a varied selection of dishes.
In total, the new terminal will feature more than 40 retail and catering facilities, two bank branches, a pharmacy and a beauty salon.
Let's take a look at one of the cafes called “Petrushka”.

Please note the prices:
soups 300 ml - 95 rubles, hot dishes - 95 rubles per 100 grams, salads - 85 rubles per 100 grams. Compared to other airports, you can have a meal on a budget.

I would like to note separately large number sockets between the seats. The blocks are located between the chairs in both the general and sterile areas. Not all seats are equipped with sockets, but about a third, but I think this is enough not to be left without communication.
Not being able to charge my phones was one of my biggest struggles. This drawback has been completely eliminated.

Let's see what else there is in terms of infrastructure. At the same time, you can look at the navigation.

The mother and child room is spacious. There are separate bedrooms for younger children and slightly older children, and a separate playroom. I recommend it to everyone traveling with small children.

Navigation is duplicated for panoramic elevators.

The airport has veterinary and phytosanitary control. I have never used either one or the other, but whoever needs it is welcome.

There is a prayer room for believers.

Another prayer room is intended for Muslims. The rugs are located in the direction of Mecca, with a curtain separating the men's and women's parts.

The airport uses a domestically produced baggage handling system. The system was manufactured at a plant in Balashikha near Moscow; components were supplied from enterprises in Volgograd, Naberezhnye Chelny, the Moscow region and other cities.

The total length of the conveyor belts of the baggage system of the new terminal is about two kilometers.
The system ensures 100% inspection of departing baggage. All items handed over by passengers undergo a three-level security system before boarding the aircraft, which complies with international and Russian standards and norms.

Passengers go through the same process as at all airports. You cannot remove the security systems; I will show you the things confiscated from the passengers.

A whole container with liquids in bottles whose volume exceeds the permitted volume and a children's toy pistol. All this is prohibited for transportation by international regulations.

After passing security, passengers enter the shopping area. Forgot to buy souvenirs or just want to spend time shopping before your flight? No problem.

Souvenir shops are already selling magnets with images of the new terminal.

You can have a cold drink or a snack. It's nice that local producers have not been forgotten.

"Kroshka Potato" was spotted from the nets at the airport. As far as I know, this is the first and so far only point in Crimea.

Simferopol Airport contains the word “International” in its full name, although all flights are now operated within Russia. All the infrastructure for international flights is there, it’s just not used yet.

Boarding gates are carried out through 8 boarding bridges, which were not previously available in Simferopol, and there are also 8 exits to the platform buses.

Here, too, you can feel the hand of the Artemy Lebedev Studio employees.

The boarding bridges themselves are comfortable.

Planes from Rossiya airlines were seen on the apron, " Ural Airlines", Red Wings and others.

The highlight of Simferopol Airport is the open terrace on the fourth floor of the building, from where the platform is visible. Finally, the dream of aviation lovers has come true in Russia. They say that in good weather This place offers a picturesque view not only of airplanes, but also of Mount Chatyr-Dag.

These pictures were taken just from the terrace.

You can see all the details.

Any passenger flying from the airport can access the open terrace.

There is a business lounge terrace next to the common terrace. There is more expensive and comfortable furniture here, you can lie out in the open air in comfortable sun loungers. But the view is exactly the same.

VIP and business lounges are equipped to all modern standards, and their design is developed taking into account the general concept of the terminal. A separate parking area and entrance to the airport are provided for VIP lounge passengers. In the business lounge you can have a snack or relax in silence.

In ordinary halls it’s also not bad at all. I would like to note the seats, made of flexible, springy and rubber-like material; it is very comfortable to sit in the chairs.

It's time to fly. Passengers of the NNN flight en route Simferopol - VashGorod, proceed to gate number 8.

Note the high galleries in front of the jet bridges. They had to be made this way in the interests of people with limited mobility. Each gallery has an elevator.

And now we are changing the route. Now we will go through the path of arriving passengers. The same navigation with a minimum of words, there are none here at all, but everything is clear. We are going towards the sun, we have arrived in Crimea.

A familiar and alluring outline.

The lucky ones who flew to Crimea receive luggage.

The bus schedule and ticket office are located right in the arrivals hall. Prices are quite reasonable, buses run quite often. In the summer they will go even more often.

Tickets can be purchased at terminals or ticket offices with cashiers.

Don’t forget to take a photo against the background of a panel with recognizable places of Crimea, central place among which is the new airport terminal.

If you arrived at Artek, then they are already waiting for you. If not, you can go to a taxi stop, public transport, or rent a car right at the airport building. Most cheap car— "Logan" s manual transmission gear, it will cost 1,500 rubles per day.
