Ski resorts in Sochi. How much does it cost to ski in Krasnaya Polyana Famous Sochi ski resort

Ski resorts in Sochi 2020 - prices with accommodation and review of the most popular places in the village of Krasnaya Polyana (Rosa Khutor). Houses, apartments, cottages and hostels - where is the best place to stay. Alpine skiing in Sochi 2019 is somewhat different from last year, both for the better and for the worse. The best places to ski and the infrastructure have changed. In particular, the Polyana 1389 hotel was finally opened in Laura - it is especially convenient for those who have the means and travel to Sochi by car in winter. There is parking there, the cottages are comfortable, and there are spa programs for women. But those who decide to travel by train will have to take care of purchasing tickets in advance: “Swallows” have been greatly reduced, so from October it has become inconvenient to travel by train.

Five facts about alpine skiing in Sochi:

Fact No. 1: Laughter grass grows in the vicinity of Krasnaya Polyana.

In the forests near the village in summer time there is laughter-grass, which local residents called Allium (Allium ursinnum). One bunch of such grass makes a person laugh for about 30 minutes without ceasing.

Fact No. 2: We skied in Krasnaya Polyana back in 1992!

The first ski lift was built by the Alpika-service company 25 years ago, when the resort was little known in Russia, and livestock was grazed in the village itself.

Fact No. 3: The first inhabitants of Rosa Khutor were Estonians.

The name of the resort comes from the name of the first resident, Estonian Adul Rooz. Estonian settlers settled here in the 19th century, becoming winners of the USSR All-Union competitions named after. Stalin in bobsleigh.

Fact No. 4: During the construction of the cable car, the builders used catapults.

For delivery of construction materials to hard to reach places special catapults were designed that threw stones and bags of rubble to the construction site so as not to spoil the forest.

Fact No. 5: One of the Rosa Khutor tracks has its own Hachiko.

The poor dog has been waiting for his owner for 5 years, who went skiing in the fog and disappeared. The dog can be found at the rescue station near the ski lift - it is fed by local workers.

In addition, due to the crisis, service in many cheap and middle-class hotels has decreased. A lot of hotels were built, but after the Olympics the service dropped somewhat. Maybe now the situation will improve - after all, the crisis has forced the majority of ski lovers to abandon not only Switzerland and Austria, but even Bulgaria. So Sochi's Krasnaya Polyana has great prospects in this regard.

Accommodation prices

Hotel houses with views of the river and mountain panoramas are in greatest demand. The easiest way to rent an inexpensive room at the Rosa Khutor ski resort is through online booking. On New Year As a rule, prices for rooms and cottages increase by about 20%. Despite the fact that the resort has a huge number of restaurants and cafes, it is best to choose tours with all-inclusive meals. At the same time, many hotels know that tourists wake up and ride at different times, so the buffet is available almost around the clock.

When renting houses, you can rent a cottage with a bathhouse, parking lot, children's playground and barbecue area. However, given that plots in these protected areas are worth their weight in gold, almost all real estate has a very modest internal territory.

Gazprom (Laura)

The ski resort in Sochi Gazprom or, as it is also called, Laura, is one of the best. Who was on European resorts won't be too disappointed in it. The only unpleasant thing is not always decent service and occasional rudeness. And your face will be photographed at the entrance - in case you steal your rented Fisher skis. But overall, in terms of comfort, everything is fine.

The main base at Gazprom is located near the lower lift. Cottages, restaurants, beautiful places– all this is guaranteed. The infrastructure is good, with the exception of some drag lifts, near which queues accumulate. Plus, the resort is low, so the organizers have to maintain the snow cover with the help of cannons in some places. So it doesn’t happen that the snow has melted in Laura and it’s impossible to ride. Moreover, artificial snow is better for athletes and professionals. Therefore, snow cannons at Gazprom really are a big plus of this resort.

In total, Gazprom has 16 tracks of varying difficulty. Those who have not previously practiced alpine skiing in Sochi 2020 will find it very comfortable and convenient - there are gentle slopes for training. As for the price of ski rentals, you will have to pay from 500 to 1000 rubles for a Volki or Fisher set. Overall, not bad, you can have a wonderful rest in a few days. You can also rent a snowboard.

"Rosa Khutor"

The ski resort in Sochi “Rosa Khutor” is a former resort for poor people. Prices here are the most affordable, especially in terms of accommodation. But rental and ski lifts are even more expensive than in Europe. A lift for 1 day will cost 2,650 rubles. Conditions - after the Olympics (and competitions were held here too) became quite normal. A picturesque, but somewhat dull view of the Mzymta River, all kinds of Russian taverns and borscht houses, a good cable car with spacious cabins. By the way, there are in Rosa Khutor and expensive hotels, but you need to understand that the resort is mainly dominated by young people and locals.

The length of the routes at Rosa Khutor is greater than at Gazprom-Laura. There are as many as 77 km of them, 16 lifts. The snow cannons are working - there is plenty of room to ride. Some of the lifts are still under construction, and have been for several years now. The downside is that there are rocks and ice blocks on some routes. There are also queues at the lifts. In addition, reviews from tourists about Rosa Khutor indicate that the resort loves to cheat with prices. So everything is typical Russian. But again, those who come for a ride will get it. The only thing is that you need to be careful, because not all dangerous routes are marked. Look at the map, remember, don’t rush.

In general, Rosa Khutor is irritating, especially for those who have visited Europe before. But there is nowhere to go. If you accept it and just come for a ride, you might even enjoy it. By the way, those who want to buy children's mountain skis should know that personal equipment is sometimes stolen at Rosa Khutor.

"Mountain Carousel"

The ski resort in Sochi “Mountain Carousel” is located in the town of Estosadok. It became famous because Medvedev skated here. If you manage to book a hotel in the “Mountain Carousel” at 960 meters, you will enjoy only one picturesque view. Of all the alpine skiing in Sochi 2020, Carousel is the most beautiful.

The length of the trails here is 27 kilometers. Most of the tracks are professional, there are even jumps, but there are also several tracks for beginners. It’s better not to come here with children, although there are good instructors for them. It’s just that, in the opinion of many, the tracks for children’s skiing are dangerous. And it’s difficult to drive a car here—there’s almost no parking. Otherwise, “Mountain Carousel” is a very worthy object. Hotels are average in price, from 3,000 rubles and kopecks per room. Alpine skis for rent from well-known companies - Salomon, Rossignol, Berton, elite Volki and Fisher. Cost – about 1000 rubles. A ski pass will cost 700 rubles and more.

The service at the Mountain Carousel is not too different from Gazprom and Rosa Khutor, but, probably due to the smaller number of people, it is calmer and more dignified. Plus, the infrastructure is not so developed - there are much fewer restaurants, saunas and bars here.

Although alpine skiing in Sochi 2020 is inferior to the European level, it is developing every year. Those who don’t go to Sochi go to Dombay. Organizers of ski resorts in Sochi are working to improve service, which increased noticeably in 2019.

History of ski resorts in Sochi

Many people are interested in when and how alpine skiing appeared in Sochi. This sport came to us from the West, in the “dashing” 90s. This sport has been and remains elite. In 1992, the Alpika-Service organization built the first ski lift. The idea found a response in the hearts of many extreme sports enthusiasts. Skiers began to flock to Krasnaya Polyana. At the very beginning of its foundation, this resort was far from Swiss or Austrian resorts. But already in 2007 the situation changed radically.

If the decision had not been made to hold the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, then this place would have remained a kind of ski resort. Then an incredible number of different opportunities opened up for the “Krasnodar pearl”. The trails were improved and new ski lifts were built. The sports infrastructure has moved to a different level. Not only hotels appeared, but also luxury ones entertainment complexes. Interestingly, even after the end of the 2014 Winter Olympics, the resort is still developing, and this development is proceeding at a fairly active pace.

Description of resorts

If we are talking about the Krasnaya Polyana ski resort, then it should be noted that there are two villages and four complexes. Interestingly, the village after which the resort was named is located the furthest away. Esto-Sadok is closer. Behind it you can immediately see the slopes of the mountains, where such famous sports complexes as Gazprom, Rosa Khutora, Mountain Carousel, Alpika-Service are located. All entertainment stretches over 11 kilometers.

Dissatisfied resort guests often complain that a complex could be made for everyone single subscription. But this has its plus. This way, sports complexes can fight for their tourists, offering them more opportunities for successful skiing and entertainment options. So, as noted earlier, a ski resort includes 2 sports complex, each of which has its own characteristics. Ski resorts:

  • Alpika-Service is one of the oldest ski resorts represented in Krasnodar region. When the Olympic Games were held here, the emphasis was on freestyle and bobsleigh competitions. It is important to note that the stages of the Russian Cup in winter sports take place in this very place every year. The total length of 15 ski trails is 25 kilometers. Experts note that it is here that there is almost the largest drop in the world, which is equal to 1698 meters. The double-chair cable car is especially convenient. There are five lifts. In addition to skiing, there are helicopter flights, snowmobile rides, horseback riding, and you can visit mineral springs. mountain peaks they know how to surprise guests. In addition, there are many cafes, restaurants, and snack bars.
  • Rosa Khutor is the largest ski resort in Russia within the framework of the Olympic scale. Many winter sports fans note that Rosa Khutor is in greatest demand. Everything you need is here modern equipment, conditions for freeride, there are different tracks for trained athletes and for amateurs. As additional entertainment there is an ice skating rink, bars, restaurants, nightclub, souvenir shops, fashion stores, spas, hairdressers, etc.
  • Gazprom is a large and at the same time the youngest family-type mountain tourism complex. Its second name is Laura (this is the name of the local river). This complex is more suitable for beginners, so there are many “green” slopes that are gentle. There are 16 trails in total, with a total length of 15 km. Additional entertainment options include a social and cultural center called “Galaxy”, where you can visit a bowling center, a water park, a cinema, an ice arena, bars, and restaurants. It is worth noting that thanks to its diverse, highly developed infrastructure, Gazprom has become incredibly popular among tourists.
  • Mountain Carousel is the first spacious complex chosen by both professionals and beginners in winter species sports If you have an average level of training, then Mountain Carousel is unlikely to be of interest to you. Freeride lovers will certainly be pleased with the special area for them. All nine tracks meet international standards. Their length is 12 meters. There are 28 lifts here. Interestingly, in Mountain Carousel there is snow until the first days of summer. This is the main attraction. Guests of the resort can choose different excursions around the Olympic Park and the Russian Coaster (a complex of jumps). Mass celebrations, fairs, and show programs are often held here.

Many athletes try to visit all the sports centers, and only then they choose the one that appeals to them more than the others.

Ski season in Sochi ski resorts

Before you go to Krasnaya Polyana, you should know that local climate It is characterized by sufficient softness, this is explained by high temperatures and proximity to the sea. Therefore, it is important to understand that ski season not as long here. It lasts from December to April. The average daily temperature varies from 0 to 5 degrees. There is wet heavy snow at the resort. Of course, this moment complicates off-piste descent. Freeride advocates often talk about this. In some places the height of the snow cover reaches eight meters, but on average it is about two to four meters.

Accommodation

Finding suitable housing in two villages and in existing complexes is quite easy. Tourists can choose the most different hotels, hotels, private cottages. If you decide to stay in Krasnaya Polyana, where all the entertainment infrastructure is concentrated, then be prepared for the fact that you will have to get to the mountain slopes. The journey will take no more than 20 minutes. The second village of Esto-Sadok is located closer to the slopes, they can be reached on foot. There are also new hotels here (their construction was timed to coincide with the Olympics), but the infrastructure is poorer.

Of particular interest is the separate city “Gorki Gorod”. It is located in the area of the Gornaya Karusel complex. Here you will find restaurants, shops, cafes, and cinemas. There is even a water park. There are also good living conditions in the Gazprom and Rosa Khutor complexes.

I have been skiing and snowboarding for 17 years.

Evgenia Torgashova

went to Krasnaya Polyana

I live in Bashkortostan, so ski resorts Southern Urals I've already studied it. For the third winter in a row, I go to Sochi for a week at the resorts of Krasnaya Polyana. The last trip cost me 20 thousand rubles. I’ll tell you why I love Krasnaya Polyana and what you can save on.

Why Krasnaya Polyana

Krasnaya Polyana is a resort in the Krasnodar region and the general name for the area where the village of Krasnaya Polyana, the village of Estosadok (it is closest to the ski centers) and ski resorts are located.

This year, for the first time in history, all four resorts of Krasnaya Polyana are open: Gazprom Alpika, Gazprom Laura, Gorki Gorod, and Rosa Khutor.

Many people believe that “Rosa Khutor” and “Krasnaya Polyana” are synonyms, but this is not so. Rosa Khutor is only one of the Krasnaya Polyana resorts, but it is the largest: the length of the trails here is 102 km. The total length of the pistes at all resorts in Krasnaya Polyana is 160 km, and this is not counting the huge off-piste ski area (at your own peril and risk).

Such wide area There is no more skiing in Russia. You can put Sheregesh in second place, but there are only 35 km of trails there. In Krasnaya Polyana you can ski at a new resort every day, but to fully explore Rosa Khutor, even three days will not be enough.

Krasnaya Polyana is not only about skiing from morning to evening. Ski festivals and celebrity concerts take place here: we went to the Tinkoff Rose Fest and almost missed the concert of the Splin group. Skating rinks, go-kart tracks, water parks, cinemas, equipment stores, gyms, exhibitions - there is something to do in bad weather.

I skated in Austria and Italy, and Krasnaya Polyana is more suitable for me short vacation. To travel to the Alps, you need to plan well in advance. You won’t be able to go there “due to the forecast” or just go for the weekend.

Comparing prices in the Alps and Krasnaya Polyana is a favorite pastime for experienced travelers. For me, a holiday in Krasnaya Polyana is definitely cheaper.

Flight

To get to Krasnaya Polyana, you need to fly to Sochi. The airport closest to Sochi is located in Adler - this is not a neighboring city, but a region of Greater Sochi. In winter, air travel from Moscow to Sochi costs from RUB 3,000 one way. If you fly with your own ski equipment, do not forget to look at the cost of a ticket with luggage - it is usually 1500-2000 RUR higher.

Airlines "Aeroflot", "Es-7", " Ural Airlines", "UTair" transport ski equipment free of charge in winter, in addition to the basic baggage allowance. But this does not apply to the cheapest tariffs “Light”, “Promo” and the like - they are only suitable for those who plan to rent equipment on the spot.

If you take the most cheap air ticket, be prepared to pay extra for luggage and other options.

Width="2168" height="1244" class="outline-bordered" style="max-width: 1084.0px; height: auto" data-bordered="true"> A direct ticket Moscow - Sochi in winter can be bought for 3000 RUR one way

My experience. I live in Bashkortostan. Air tickets Ufa - Sochi - Ufa with luggage for my dates cost 12,000 RUR per person. We decided it was expensive and checked the prices for package tours. As a result, we managed to buy a last-minute tour from a well-known tour operator for 15,600 RUR for two. The tour included a round-trip charter flight and 6 nights of hotel accommodation with breakfast.

Such prices for tours in winter are not uncommon; here is an example of booking a tour from Kazan.

Advice for residents of the regions and beyond: check how much tours cost on aggregator sites (Fly, Travelata, Level Travel) - it is often cheaper than paying for air tickets, accommodation and transfers separately.

Airport transfer

Transfer prices depend on where you are staying. There are two fundamentally different options:

  1. live in Krasnaya Polyana or Estosadka, near ski resorts;
  2. live on the coast, in Adler, and come to the mountains for a ride.

I will tell you further about the pros and cons of each option, but for now let’s look at the cost of the transfer. If your hotel is in a mountain cluster, be guided by the following prices.

156 R - ticket for bus No. 105 or 105c, which goes to Krasnaya Polyana.

300 R - ride on the shuttle of the Rosa Khutor resort. The shuttle runs on schedule and does not stop at other resorts. Here's the schedule.

1300 R - a trip by passenger taxi; such a car usually fits ski equipment for 2-3 people.

2000-2200 R - minivan taxi for a large group of 7-8 people.

300-400 R - car sharing in the airport parking lot.

Long-term rental of a car without a driver in Sochi costs from 1,000 rubles per day, excluding fuel costs.

If you decide to live by the sea and only go to the mountains for a ride, then the transfer issue is even easier to solve: a transfer around Adler by passenger taxi costs 500 RUR, and travel by public transport starts from 50 RUR.

My experience. We flew with a tour operator, so we didn’t pay anything for the transfer: we were met by a bus at the airport and taken to the hotel. Comfortable.

Where to live: Krasnaya Polyana

Pros. A hotel in the mountains, in close proximity to resorts, is convenient for singles and couples, and especially for families with children. Less time passes from breakfast to the first ski descent. More entertainment in the evenings - what in Europe is called "après ski".

During the season, Krasnaya Polyana constantly hosts parties in bars, jazz festivals, lectures on avalanche safety and freeride skiing, and concerts. There is more entertainment in the mountains in winter rather than on the coast.

Cons. Living in Krasnaya Polyana in winter is expensive. A hotel room for two with a separate shower room costs on average 3500-4000 RUR per night.

The most expensive hotels are on the Rosa Plateau at an altitude of 1170 m. There are hotels of the “ski-in-ski-out” format, that is, you can leave them directly in your ski boots and immediately get on the ski lift. These are large chain hotels with buffet for breakfast and dinner, rooms for storing equipment and spa complexes. You have to pay for everything: a day in the Rose Springs spa area, for example, will cost 2000 RUR.

The closest hotels to the cable cars are the Riders Lodge, Rosa Springs, Rosa Ski Inn, and Rosa Chalet cottages. A room at Rosa Ski Inn, when booked a month before the trip, costs from 7,500 rubles per night, even without breakfast. The prices are similar at the youth Riders Lodge.

As you move away from the cable cars, hotel prices decrease. And they drop to a minimum if you are ready to consider not a hotel, but a hostel. Hostel prices start from 600 rubles per night - you don’t even need to book in advance.

You will still have to resolve the issue of transfer from the hotel to the ski lifts. This is either a free shuttle (if you have a ski pass), or city buses No. 135, 105, or taxi. A bus ticket within Krasnaya Polyana costs from 25 RUR, a taxi ride around the resort costs 300-400 RUR.

Advice. There are few hotels from which you can go directly to the ski lifts, and they are expensive. Book hotels that already include daily transfers to the ski lifts. This way you don’t have to wait for a bus or order a taxi every morning to get to the lower stations of the Gazprom, Gorki Gorod or Rosa Khutor cable cars. Hotels always advertise this service on Booking.com.

How to save money. Top hotels They open bookings for the winter in the summer. To stay in cool hotels in the mountains, you need to make reservations at least 4-6 months before your trip.

Where to live: Adler

This is not the most obvious accommodation option for those traveling to Sochi to ski. Nevertheless, this is exactly what we have been practicing for three years in a row and recommend to everyone. We are talking specifically about Adler, and not about central Sochi. From Adler there is a highway to Krasnaya Polyana, the road to the ski lifts takes 40-50 minutes by car.

Pros. In winter, Adler hotels are idle, so here you can find excellent rooms for two with a private bathroom at prices starting from 1000 rubles per night. You won't find a room of this class at this price in Krasnaya Polyana.

If you live in Adler, you can change the climate every time after skiing. In the mountains at the Rose Valley level, the daytime temperature is about 0-5 °C, and on the coast in winter it reaches 15 °C. Watching the sunset on a deserted winter beach is priceless.

Cons. Every day you will have to spend 2 hours on the road (an hour there, an hour back). If you get to the resorts by car, you will have to deny yourself mulled wine on the mountain and a glass of beer after skiing.

My experience. This year we traveled through a tour operator, accommodation was included in the price of the trip. Our friends flew from Orenburg themselves and settled in the same hotel - Sochi Park Hotel. For 6 nights they paid only 3000 rubles for double room. Anyone can do this:

There are several hotels in Adler that operate on an all-inclusive basis - offering accommodation, meals, and transfer to the ski lifts. These are the hotels “Lieutenant Rzhevsky” and “Arly”, the boarding house “Znanie” and others.

At 8 a.m. guests are taken to any of the three ski centers, and at 16-17 o'clock they pick you up. You can go straight away in ski boots - you will save on luggage storage.

How to get to the ski lifts

If you do not live in a ski-in-ski-out hotel, you will have to get to the ski lifts every morning.

In Krasnaya Polyana You can get to the ski lifts using a free shuttle if you have a ski pass from any resort. You can also take a taxi (300-400 RUR) or public bus. A bus ticket costs 25-50 RUR depending on the number of stops.

If you live in Adler and plan to go to ski resorts every day, the options are as follows:

  1. the same transfer from hotels - sometimes it is included in the stay. At the Sochi Park Hotel, a transfer costs 600 RUR round trip;
  2. the famous Olympic train "Swallow" - 250 RUR from the station "Imereti Resort" to the station "Rosa Khutor";
  3. bus Olympic Park- “Rosa Khutor” - 187 R one way;
  4. private owners - from 200 R per person, but they will go only when the car is full;
  5. car sharing - from 8 R per minute of car rental.

My experience. Car sharing is well developed in Sochi. On this trip, we got to the resorts only by car sharing cars. A car ride from the Olympic Park to Rosa Khutor cost 400 RUR. There were four of us, so my costs for car sharing were only 1,500 R per week.

If you plan to use carsharing in Sochi, I advise you to register in the application while at home: documents may take several days to be verified. We chose the Yurentkar company. I found their application very simple and convenient.

Car sharing has its own peculiarities: the car can only be parked in approved places. The company will also have to appoint a sober driver every day.

Ski passes

So, you arrived, checked in, drove to the resorts and decided how you would get to the ski lifts. All that remains is to buy a ski pass and finally start skiing.

There are four ski resorts in the Krasnaya Polyana ski area: Gazprom Laura, Gazprom Alpika, Rosa Khutor and Gorki Gorod. Prices for ski passes are different everywhere; there is no single ski pass yet, although the media regularly promises one. With a single ski pass, it will be like in Europe: you buy it and ski throughout the entire zone. In the meantime, every day a tourist has to choose which resort to go to.

Each resort has a detailed tariff schedule for ski passes: prices depend on the days of the week and season (more expensive on weekends and holidays), on the number of ski days in a row, age and other factors.

"Rosa Khutor"

Ski pass price per day in high season: 2650 RUR.

Trails: 8 green, 18 blue, 12 red, 8 black, sledding and tubing tracks, snow park.

Suitable for: families with children, advanced riders, freeriders.

In my opinion, this is the best ski resort in Russia today with a total length of slopes of 102 km. There are green trails for beginners, and many blue and red trails. It was here that the Olympic alpine skiing program was held, and now everyone has the opportunity to ride the “men’s” or “women’s” Olympic slope - these slopes are called that way.

2560 R

cost of a ski pass for a day at the Rosa Khutor resort in March 2018.

In 2016, trails opened on the southern slope of the Aibga ridge. Now this favorite place freeriders: they don’t like prepared trails and ride wherever they look. Rosa Khutor is a resort more suitable for experienced and advanced skiers, as well as freeriders.

Rosa Khutor has the most expensive ski passes: 2,650 rubles per day in the high season, which lasts from the end New Year's holidays until the end of March.

How to save: buy a ski pass on the official website with a 5% discount and for several days at once. A ski pass for two days in a row on the website costs 4560 RUR - 2280 RUR per day. You can buy ski passes for three, five, seven days of skiing, but I recommend doing this only if you are sure of a good weather forecast. If there is snow, most trails will be closed due to poor visibility and avalanche danger, and your money will be lost.

"Gazprom-Laura"

Trails: 3 green, 7 blue, 8 red, 3 black, cross-country ski trails.

Suitable for: beginners and those who like quiet skiing.

The resort is well suited for lovers of leisurely skiing on blue and green slopes. The total length of the trails here, according to the official website, is 23 km (now imagine the scale of Rosa Khutor with its 102 km).

Day ski pass to high winter season(until the beginning of April) costs 1850 RUR. It is profitable to take a morning ski pass: it is valid from 9:00 to 13:30 and costs 1200 RUR. There are rates for children and pensioners.

Gazprom-Alpika

Ski pass price per day in high season: 1850 RUR.

Trails: 3 red, 2 black.

Suitable for: experienced riders, freeriders.

This is a resort for professional skiers. The fact is that it was the first in Krasnaya Polyana - it opened in 1993 under the name “Alpika-service”. The history of the local ski area. In 2010, the resort closed for reconstruction, and the opening took place just this season.

5 difficult and very difficult trails with a total length of 7.5 km have been opened. There is also a children's slope with a travelator - a special rubber track for climbing. While it is deserted, you can meet a rare freerider or expert. Prices for ski passes are similar to Gazprom Laura.

"Gorki city"

Ski pass price per day in high season: 1900 RUR.

Trails: 2 green, 9 blue, 13 red, 4 black, most of them short.

Suitable for: either complete beginners or very advanced skiers who are not bothered by narrow, steep and winding trails.

For those who came to Krasnaya Polyana before the Olympics, this resort is known as the “Mountain Carousel”. Today it is 30 km of ski slopes of varying difficulty levels. Beginners ride on the blue and green slopes leading to Upper city- this is a site at an altitude of 960 m above sea level. Advanced riders ride in the so-called circuses - couloirs between the peaks.
